We ate here for my Birthday on Sunday and it was amazing! It was calm and quiet and the food was excellent. I had the mussel appetizer, rack of lamb and the canoli. The mussel's were one of the best things I have ever eaten. If you are looking for great food in a calm atmosphere I highly recommend it.

No better place to have Easter Dinner. 2nd trip here, the 1st was about 15 years ago and was everything I remember and more. The wait staff was amazing along with the food. I could go on forever about Artist Point, I have had some people say they wouldn't eat there since it is 2 sit downs on the dining plan. Well, they are really missing out.

We've eaten at Artist Point during two different deluxe dining trips over the past year and, on both trips, it was one of the top two dining experiences (and, on both trips, we also ate at Cali Grill, Jiko, Citricos, and Flying Fish).
Food and service were top notch both times. The portabello mushroom soup, buffalo, and berry cobler is one of the top meals at WDW.
This one of the most underrated restaurants at WDW. A true hidden gem. Take a boat ride over here for dinner at the end of a Magic Kingdom day. And make sure to take some time to enjoy the Wilderness Lodge lobby area. You won't regret it.

We ate here 1/18, (used TIW card) Me, DW, DS19 DD16 & DSI. The food was good DW and DS had the chicken. DSI, DD and I had the salmon. Salmon was good but you just received salmon and a very tiny amount of veggies. DW and Son said the chicken was good. But portions were small. This was the most expensive meal of this vacation but by no means the best. We will skip Artist Point for something else next time.

If Artist Point were a little easier to get to using Disney Transportation I would have given it a 10.
The food was excellent and our waiter was fabulous. Some of the other restaurants in WDW need to take some pointers from AP.

We got a last-minute reservation here for our final full-day in Disney. We had a few table service 'coupons' to use up and plumped for Artist Point as I'd read great reviews. I am so glad we went, it was gorgeous. I had the Cedar Plank Salmon (divine and cooked to perfection!) my sister had the pork (a little pink in the middle which she wasn't keen on, but it was only one small piece). We both had the cobbler for dessert. Our reservation was for 7.30pm and we arrived a few minutes beforehand and were seated immediately. The dining room was not busy - there were less than 10 tables occupied - and our server was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the food. We were seated beside a window with a lovely view down to the pool and the nearest other family was 4 tables away. It was a leisurely meal (as all holiday meals should be!) and I was surprisingly full when we left after 9pm. The staff were wonderful and I'd highly recommend them and the restaurant. The decor is elegant and restrained, but not too overdone and I felt perfectly comfortable in a sundress and sandals, though others were more formally attired. After dinner, we went to the Roaring Forks and got some drinks and wandered outside to the dock in time to see the Electric Pageant - a glorious meal topped off with a pretty pageant - not much can be better than that and the perfect end to our last full-day on site!

Hubby and I chose to have our anniversary dinner here, and were so glad we did.
Our server immediately recognized our celebration and congratulated us, then went through the wine list and menu in great detail. She was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly.
My appetizer - the smokey portabello soup - was heavenly. It had the perfect balance of smokiness and creaminess with added texture from a few portabello mushrooms and croutons.
My bison steak dinner was outstanding. It was cooked to medium rare perfectly, and accompanied by a sausage polenta that was both sweet and spicy.
Hubby had the airline chicken and was shocked how much he enjoyed it. It had a delicate breading that gave just a bit of crunch to the moist chicken breast. Even the herb spaetzel had a light consistency - definitely not doughy or chewy!
The sculpture dessert (with those outstanding bourbon soaked cherries) made my night. I loved the airy consistency of the mousse; it had a rich flavor without a lot of weight.
Our server brought us complementary glasses of champagne with dessert, which was a lovely anniversary surprise. Love that extra Disney touch!

OK, we dined here on Wednesday 3rd October. Our table was reserved for 7:30 and was seated at around 7:45. Our table was located bang in the middle of the dining hall. We asked for a quieter table as there was a loud crowd of people next to us. The manager told us that we could not move. After our waitress introduced herself, we asked if we could move due to the noise level and we were now seated in the corner of the room.
Once we were moved, everything changed for the right reasons. We could now hear ourselves speak and hold a conversation.
We both had the fillet mignon which was cooked to perfection followed by the 'sculpture' which was divine.
If we had not been moved, I would be marking this quite low due to the attitude of the duty manager, but the food and our waitress made this a perfect evening. As mentioned in another post, the steaks are far far better than the California Grill and definitely on par with Yachtsman steak house.

I was so looking forward to this meal, but was disapointed. We were a couple and the room was nearly empty and yet we were sat near families. One waiter nearby was incredibly loud and I don't know that his guests had a moment without his chatter (we didn't). Our waitress lacked polish we would expect from a "Signature" meal.
The salmon plank was an excellent meal, though I by no means was full after it. Plenty of room for dessert, but we took that business elsewhere.
Food was good but there is more to dining than the food. This does NOT qualify as a "signature" meal to me.

This was one of the highlights of our trip. The food was out of this world. Everything we ate was delicious...well worth the money. The service was great as well. Would love to go back someday.

Artist Point is the place that you can enjoy a very quiet dinner with your family or a romantic dinner with that someone special. My wife and I, my son and his wife, and our two grandchildren (12 and 10) ate there recently. The service and food were superb.
My son, his wife, and I had the buffalo steak and it was very good. Very tender. I really enjoyed the potatoes and vegetables that went with it. My wife had the Halibut and she said it was excellent. My grandson had the Salmon and he said it was great. My granddaughter had Scallops for the first time and she really loved them.
Three of us had the Smokey Portobello soup and all thought it was wonderful.
The desserts: Artist Point Cobbler, Vanilla Bean Creme' Brulee, and the warm Chocolate cake, were very very good.
The only negative was the French Press Coffee which was OK, but as we are from Louisiana and we like our coffee strong.

This is a fav but it's been a few trips since I ate here. Copper River Salmon was in season so I got the Cedar Plank Salmon which was good. The mushroom soup was good, not sure if it was as good as I remembered. Sake and wine available. Service was good. Tables In Wonderland discount of 20% saved a lot. This will stay on the top of my list.

This was our second 2TS meal this trip and unfortunately it was the second one that disappointed me. There were not very many choices on the menu and the best part of my meal was the salad. My steak was ok nothing to write home about and my hubby had the bison and didn't get over excited. We have eaten at the Whispering Canyon Cafe before and I have to say the favors there were better. Sorry, Artist Point I will not waste my TS on you again.

This was a restaurant that I had wanted to go to for a long time. Our visit was kind of a "mixed bag." Absolutely divine oysters. Tasted as if they had been picked from the sea, and we are from Maine and used to eating lots of fresh seafood. Wonderful buffalo steak. Delicious berry cobbler. The service was a bit inattentive and the salmon tasted like something I could easily cook at home. We were seated off the main dining room, while there were still tables available in the larger area, where the view was a bit better. Although most reviews speak of the amazing view, it was only mediocre. I would like to add that the check-in area was very, very friendly and presented my daughter and I with a princess ring. Very nice touch!

My wife and I ate at the Artist Point Restaurant on Thursday, April 12, 2012 as a way to celebrate our anniversary. We were seated at a table for two next to the windows overlooking the courtyard with lake views. Our server was a gentleman named Steve from London, UK. He was very attentive throughout our meal and provided excellent recommendations on our meal selections. Steve brought out two complimentary Champaign glasses for us when he brought us our bread. When we could not decide between the Smokey Portobello soup and the Penn Cove Mussels as appetizers, Steve offered to split each appetizer in-half and give us each a portion. This was a great service as each of us loved both soup and the mussels. The mushroom soup was the best soup I’ve ever had – I’d have licked the bowl clean if I didn’t think they’d have thrown me out for doing it.
For our entrees, I had the cedar planked salmon, and my wife had the wild-caught jumbo prawn and crab “Hot Pot.” Both of us loved our meals!! The salmon portion was rather large and I could barely finish my meal. We did not have room for dessert.
The Artist Point is a gorgeous restaurant with great food and service. I highly recommend for romance and for special outings.
