7 Bougie Restaurants Hiding at Disney World Hotels

It is easy to head to the parks and spend all day riding rides, shopping, and snacking your way around the park. However, journeying outside the parks can also open the doors for lots of unique dining experiences.

Some dining experiences are a bit harder to find than others though, and today we are taking a look at some of the hidden restaurants at Disney World hotels.

There are so many dining options to choose from while you are in Disney World. You can pretty much find whatever food you want on your Disney World trip. Some options will come with a bigger price tag, though!

Charred Octopus at Amare

Today we are taking you to seven bougie restaurants that are hiding at Disney World hotels. These restaurants are a bit more discreet and harder to find, but we are sharing their secrets!

Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera at Disney’s Riviera Resort

This restaurant is hidden at the top of Disney’s Riviera Resort. While it may be a bit hard to get to, it makes up for it with breathtaking panoramic views of Disney World.

Topolino’s Terrace

Topolino’s Terrace focuses on French and Italian cuisine at dinner, with fresh seafood and meat, handmade pasta, and decadent desserts. The restaurant has a large collection of wine and has a dress code. Or you can also opt for a breakfast with Mickey & Friends in the morning.

Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

While this restaurant is a recent recipient of the coveted MICHELIN star, it is a bit hard to find. Victoria & Albert’s is tucked away on the second floor of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, so it can be a bit difficult to find.

Wild Turbot from Victoria & Albert’s

Victoria & Albert’s offers an “epicurean odyssey” which is the ultimate in fine dining experiences. The restaurant offers two different tasting menus that offer course after course of culinary creations. The chefs utilize seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques to provide an exquisite evening. Victoria & Albert’s earned their first MICHELIN star this year. They are the first and only restaurant to earn a star that is operated by a theme park.

Cítricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Cítricos is also tucked away on the second floor of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. In fact, it is located right next to Victoria & Albert’s. Cítricos doesn’t have a MICHELIN star, but it IS recommended by the Michelin Guide, and you can still indulge in a decadent, fine dining experience here.

The menu at Cítricos features Florida cuisine with Mediterranean flavors. The restaurant features elements from Mary Poppins Returns with lots of garden influences, including flowers and butterflies. You can choose from a large selection of wines to pair with your delicious food selection.

Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

Another restaurant that is hiding from us at Disney World is the Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. This restaurant is easy to walk right past and not even realize. The entrance is fairly unassuming, with a hung sign being one of the few things giving away what is located beyond.

Yachtsman Steakhouse

The Yachtsman Steakhouse is a New England-style steakhouse that serves premium steaks, seafood, and more. The restaurant features lots of nautical influences and plenty of delectable dishes!

California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Our next restaurant is hiding at the top of another resort, Disney’s Contemporary Resort. California Grill is perched atop this Magic Kingdom resort with gorgeous views of the area, including Cinderella’s Castle and the fireworks! This restaurant is so hidden that you have to take a private elevator to even be able to reach it.

California Grill

The restaurant serves Californian cuisine and utilize lots of fresh, seasonal ingredients on the menu. The menu is prix-fixe where you can select one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert. You can also pair your meal with an extensive selection of wines.

Jiko — The Cooking Place at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

This restaurant gets overshadowed by Boma a lot of the time, and since it is tucked a bit back, you often even miss seeing it. Your first view coming down the stairs is Boma, and it takes a bit of detective work to see Jiko hiding in the background.

However, this restaurant serves up some amazing food! The restaurant serves a menu with a blend of African, Indian, and Mediterranean cuisine. The dishes feature lots of bold flavors and fragrant spices.

Amare at Walt Disney World Swan Reserve

Amare is tucked away at the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve. This resort is often overlooked, and Amare is often forgotten about. Amare is hidden inside of the Swan Reserve, which is across the street from the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin hotels.

Amare

While all three of these hotels boast some really great restaurants, Amare is definitely a great option. The restaurant features Mediterranean cuisine at lunch and dinner, as well as a variety of options for breakfast.

  1. Jiko, I feel, except for possibly Victoria and Albert’s, the best restaurant on property. Service is excellent and the food is just amazing. Yachtsman would come in a close second. They are both fine dining level establishments (real fine dining, not what WDW tells you is fine dining). Many of the others mentioned are also very, very good, but those two top my list.
