On June 24, 2023, we arrived at Disney All-Star Movie Resort. When we arrived in our room, I put my passport in the safe and left my wallet on the counter near the television. The hotel was dirty, and the room seemed a bit warn out, and being close to the pool, it was always noisy. After three days there, they came to clean our room. When I returned to the room from one of the parks, I noticed my wallet was gone. I never needed my wallet since we used our magic band and linked it to my credit card. I immediately went to the front desk, and they said we would get security when questioned about what was in my wallet. They proceeded to tell me that I must have misplaced it. They said they would investigate it, but I may need to file a police report. I was completely blown off and sent on my way. I had an expensive wallet with all my credit cards and personal cards. When I filed a police report, they responded four days later, telling me that a statement couldn't be filed. I had already returned to where I live and felt Disney misled me by telling me to contact them. Please be aware that this hotel is unprofessional, and I view Disney now in a different light.

Pros:

I wish I had some

Cons:

Cleanliness, professionalism, all around experience was horrible.

This hotel is weird. The dining options are really bad, with only a pool bar and a food court. Also, the rooms have only a curtain seperating the main part of the room and the bathroom. I get that it's a value/cheap resort, but Disney should at least pit some effort in the rooms! When my family of 4 stayed in these rooms, we hear all the noise from the bathroom. Most rooms are also noisy from outside. You can also only rely on buses, which sucks. I don't recommend this hotel. If you need to stay at the all stars, go to all star music.

Pros:

-cheap

Cons:

-very big -used curtains for doors in the rooms #cheap -only buses

I loved our room here. It was strangely spacious despite being smaller, and I loved the bedside tables on both sides of each bed and all of the other storage spaces in the room. I didn't think the resort was too spread out, but I did get lost a couple of times trying to find the main building. My problem with this resort was the group of high school boys staying on both side of us. Beginning around 10:30pm every night, they were running back and forth between rooms, knocking on doors (including ours) and banging doors. They had the metal security latches on the door sticking out to keep the doors from shutting, and the doors were banging on them making a sound like we were sleeping in the middle of a bowling alley. My family of 4 couldn't sleep until after midnight, and we had to skip early entry so we could sleep in the morning and not be exhausted all day. I liked the room but not the company. Will never stay here again!!

Pros:

Clean, simple room with lots of storage areas and outlets. Nice big bathroom area.

Cons:

The people staying around you. High school boys kept us up past midnight.

Up until my last day at this resort I was ready to leave a really nice review for this resort. What changed my mine was finally sitting in the food court. I sat in one of their booths and the cushioning was all hollowed out. Also, all the tables seemed to not be very clean (I was there at like 4, so there weren't even that many people there). To top it off while I was eating I saw a small spider run across my table. The rooms themselves were quite nice for the price. The lobby and the food court show some age on the other-hand. If they updated the lobby and food court, this hotel would be amazing for the price. As is, it's just all right. At least you get free bus service. Basically, you don't really want to explore this resort too much. Just enjoy your room.

Pros:

nice room for the price.

Cons:

dirty and old lobby/food court.

Definitely wouldn't stay here for a week or longer. It gets the job done for a place to sleep. The rooms are very small, the beds are almost touching. After putting our luggage and stroller in the room, there is little walking room with both beds down. We stayed for 3 nights and that's about as much as I'd do here. Now, it is clean, it is VERY Disney themed for the little ones, my two year old LOVED the pulldown bed and the picture hanging above it. The food is typical food court food. My kids loved the giant Disney characters all over the resort and we spent HOURS at the splash pad area. It didn't feel like a huge resort, we stayed in the Lovebug section (Herbie) which is at the back of the resort, and walking up to the bus stop at the front was a quick walk, probably around 5 minutes, if that. It was VERY family oriented, there was lots of families with children there. And it was very populated. Also, it seemed like a lot of college kids were there (cheaper resort, I get it) but they can be a tad rambunctious at night, staying up making lots of noise late into the night while my little ones tried to sleep. If I went without kids, that wouldn't bother me as much. Would I stay here again? Yeah, if I was having a short trip and literally just needed a place to sleep. Would it be my #1 pick? Probably not.

Pros:

cheap resort, not huge, kids love the giant characters, its on Disney property

Cons:

VERY crowded, tiny rooms, no shade at bus stops

Room was dirty old run down, faucet fell off in my hand when tried to put on, elevators hallways, were very dirty, unclean with no evidence of being cleaned during night as still terrible next morning -needs a total re-vamp. Would never stay there again. Only reason this did not get a 1 was because the staff at the front desk upon check in and at the restaurants were very personable, helpful and pleasant and deserve a 9 for their work.

Pros:

Front desk and restaurant staff

Cons:

Everything else, dirty everywhere, desperately needs updating. Feel like Disney doesn’t care About the upkeep of its value resorts

I traveled solo from 1/15/18 to 1/19/18. I requested a preferred room and was in the Fantasia section. I've stayed in all levels of resorts - from All Stars and Pop to Port Orleans Riverside and Caribbean Beach to the Grand Floridian and Yacht Club.

Check in wasn't horrible but a bit slower than I thought it would be. I did not do online check-in as I wanted to ensure a King room on the first floor. I was given a 3rd floor King room and they were able to accommodate the change to the 1st floor when I checked in.

The room was close to the food court and transportation. This resort is in need of updating - and soon! While the room was clean it was outdated and felt more like a Disneyfied Motel 6. The room was a perfect size for me and I was provided with a King size bed which gave the appearance of a larger room.

The few cast members that I interacted with were pleasant enough. The food court was good for breakfast and a quick treat at the end of the day. I did not eat lunch or dinner there during my stay.

I also did not use the pool as it was pretty chilly during my visit.

I would stay at Movies again once they have updated the rooms. The price was perfect for what I needed it for.

Pros:

Bus Service, Noise level

Cons:

Needs updating

Stayed here for two nights over a weekend in November. Booked it because it was the only Disney resort available in our price range. Had to get a preferred room because no standard rooms were left. Our preferred room was in the Dalmatians building 4, but was at the back near the parking lot. I would've expected a preferred room to at least be in the front closer to the main building. The room was very, very quiet. The beds, sink, toilet and shower were all clean but in general the room really needed a thorough deep cleaning. Lots of dust and gunk built up in all the corners. I expect more attention to that from Disney, even in a value resort. Probably wouldn't stay here again, for a value resort I would go with Pop Century instead.

Pros:

Fun theming, very quiet

Cons:

Room needed a deep cleaning
