We were truly excited to try out Space 220 and made reservations as soon as we were able.

The theming was well done with the space elevator and the windows looking down on Earth.

One of my companions had the Neptune Tartare which was okay, but not outstanding. My other companion had the Centauri Caesar salad and it was fine.

After going over my allergies, we decided it was best for me to swap the starter for a dessert and to just order the macaroni from the kids menu (paying the adult price). This is when the server started to address me as if I was a child. She did not address my companions in the same manner or any other adult we saw her interact with, for that matter.

My macaroni and cheese was good, but definitely reminded me strongly of Kraft Deluxe.

One of my companions ordered the Steak and Fries. They enjoyed it immensely. The steak was cooked to their specifications exactly and their fries were delightful.

My other companion ordered the Space Pad \\'Thai\\' and barely touched it. It was an overcooked mess.

I finished my meal with chocolate gelato. I have honestly had much better gelato elsewhere. Even the store bought Talenti was better than this.

Pros:

Cool concept. Consistent theme. Well cooked steak.

Cons:

Expensive. Food not always worth it. Service can be slow.

Initial entry of walkway into exterior of location, we walked on painted plywood floors, real cheesy theming...Once in the minimal themed elevator, you get a simulated ride up into space which was just ok nothing spectacular or even entertaining by today's standards. Upon entering the very small lounge/dining area with again minimum or next to no theming, so you really don't feel immersed into the space environment. The view through the simulated windows where very very limited and just the earth, a few floating astronauts, a space shuttle, all which were on a loop and somewhat pathetic, dated and not very convincing. Of course, the menu was way way way overpriced but that is the norm for Disney to over price and monetize everything and diminish the quality and quantity of everything including but not limited to the so-called themed environments to the food, drinks, and of course rides and shows...Don't waste your time or money. We did not have a reservation, just requested the bar/lounge which has around 8-10? stools for sitting and ordering. Ordered a few drinks and some way too chewy calamari, cost exceeded $100. Friendly Bartenders.

Pros:

Airconditioned, and a relief from the Fireball in the sky!

Cons:

Everything as stated in review, waaaaay overpriced, under themed, so underwhelming of an experience as consistently occurs at Disney parks these days.

We had to experience Space 2w0 after hearing all the rave about it. We waited and a spot opened for dinner and we took it. We originally had plans for Coral Reef. Shouldve stuck with it. The Atmosphere was a great experience. It peaked early. The elevator ride was neat. And the Earth backdrop was cool. However, the food plummited this review. EXPENSIVE, which is not an issue for good dining. This was not. The ceaser salad was fine. Had filet minion. Cooked perfectly. However, had no flavor. Bland as an unsalted cracker. Then the chocolate cheesecake was AWFUL. One and done for us.

Pros:

Experience. Atmosphere.

Cons:

Food was less than subpar. Too expensive for such poor dining.

Extremely high priced for below average food. Service was mediocre. Going up the elevator was cool, but it went all downhill after that. We spend a lot of money on dining when we go to DisneyWorld, but this restaurant if off our list forever.

Pros:

Elevator ride.

Cons:

Went for lunch . Loved the experience of the space atmosphere and glad we did it one time . However , food was just okay and nothing to rave about . Cauliflower appetizer was good My main meal spaceghetti and shrimp in a butter sauce was okay but my husband’s tuna was quite disappointing. So many better restaurants in Epcot

Pros:

Atmosphere

Cons:

Food just okay, Not worth price .Also waiters seemed to rush people out

Would not go back, getting in the elevator was neat as was stepping out into the restaurant and seeing the earth but, that’s where it ended. The menu is limited with small non tasty portions. Spend your money elsewhere!

Pros:

Elevator ride to the restaurant

Cons:

Atmosphere in the restaurant, menu size and food isn’t the best

My family visited Space 220 in June. It was the restaurant I was most excited about. The atmosphere was amazing. From the elevator ride to the dining area. However we were so disappointed in the food. My husband got a ceasar salad and the lettuce was bitter and tasted as if it had gone bad. My son's appetizer was inedible. The main entree was just okay. My chicken was dry and there was not flavor. This restaurant was a one and done for me. For the money we spent on this one meal, it was not worth it.

Pros:

Amazing atmosphere.

Cons:

Food was not worth the price.

We tried the lounge, which actually worked out well because you can pick from the three course meal or order off the lounge bites menu. We tried a few different drinks, not bad but expensive and fruity. Apps we had were the calamari and the cauliflower (which I ordered because I heard it was amazing) Both were good, not outstanding. Entrees were the Duck and the Steak. The duck breast was undercooked and the other piece was overcooked so not worth the money. The steak was good, again not great but good. However, he did think the potato cake thing was odd tasting. Desserts ordered were the sticky toffee pudding and the carrot cake-we received the lemon dessert on accident. I will say once we flagged down the server he brought the correct one and put the lemon in a to go box. The service was actually the biggest miss for us, our was absent and distracted but we could hear how great the other servers around us were, which made it all the more obvious that ours wasn't having a good day. You are paying for the experience and ambiance which I understand but I think this is a one and done for us, especially because Epcot has much better options.

Pros:

The ride up and the desserts

Cons:

food is meh and the space graphics aren't well executed

Our most disappointing dining experience at the end of a week-long trip to Disney. My 7 yo son was very scared by the intro elevator, and when we said it was "pretend," others in the elevator got mad. The view of the earth is cool at first, but the restaurant is so huge that pretty soon you feel like you are in an enormous cafeteria with weird, space-age ambient music/sounds and this cheesy earth backdrop. It's uncomfortable and unpleasant for a nice dining experience. It doesn't feel nice at all. And they are charging a fortune! My son ended up having a full blown panic attack (he became confused/disoriented and thought we were actually in space) during the middle of the dinner and they were able to quickly accommodate us out of the restaurant. Skip this, save your money, and do a quick "space" themed ride instead. Seriously our least favorite place, and I thought it would be so cool.

Pros:

cool backdrop of the Earth pretty elaborate elevator ride to get to the restaurant

Cons:

the elaborate elevator ride can be scary it's very noisy and large so you feel like you're in a cafeteria uncomfortable and unpleasant totally overpriced

I am giving it a 6 based on our virtual ride "up", our server, and the food. Otherwise the restaurant and bar looked like a typical airport lounge (so unimaginative), the space graphics looked liked puppetry (the same lame graphics kept disappearing and re-appearing), and even our server agreed about the decor and described his outfit as pajamas. Over-all a HUGE disappointment! Guests traveling "down" to earth with us agreed and were disappointed as well.

Pros:

virtual ride "up", food, and our server, Paul

Cons:

Decor, space graphics, and HYPE!
