Within the last few days, I’ve visited all the WDW Resorts to find and verify Hidden Mickeys. One of the real joys in the Hidden Mickey hunt is finding a new one, at least new to me! What makes the hunt even more special is following directions, sometimes unclear, to spot an awesome Hidden Mickey image. It often takes me a long while searching the general vicinity of a sighting to finally gaze in amazement at a great Hidden Mickey!
For example, Alex Abrahamzon, Amanda Gunn, and Debbie Newton and Colin Brooks wrote to me about an image at the Caribbean Beach Resort. To their credit, they all wrote great directions to this Hidden Mickey, so I was able to find it within a short time. It’s an awesome image, and better yet, it’s traced in concrete, so it will likely stay in place for a while. Find this image by walking from the Trinidad North complex toward the Old Port Royale main pool area. When you reach the pool fence, look to your right to a sidewalk to the parking lot. The classic (three-circle) Hidden Mickey is in the cement, in the right lower corner of a concrete square, near where the two paths meet and close to a green lamppost. It’s worth the effort!
Folks introduced me to several new Hidden Mickeys at the Polynesian Resort. Four classic images are in a painting behind the registration counter, the far right counter as you enter the lower level doors. The painting is hanging on the right side of the wall. I don’t know how long this painting has been there, but Melanie LeBlanc told me that a Cast Member she spoke with didn’t know of these images in the painting. Many such paintings with terrific Hidden Mickeys are in the Polynesian guest rooms, so don’t forget to study wall paintings if you stay at this resort. This registration wall painting has four classic Hidden Mickeys, two dark and two white. Can you spot them?
Another compelling Hidden Mickey image is outside the Polynesian Resort; it’s best viewed from the second level walkway to the monorail. It’s formed of three light gray rocks placed on a larger rock in the water, about halfway from the monorail exit doors to the monorail loading platform. Grant, and Nathan Trent informed me about this Hidden Mickey, and their photos showed an image positioned more correctly. I assume heavy rains at times move the rocks around, but I get the idea! Like the wonderful rock classic Mickey at the Japan Pavilion in Epcot, I think that our esteemed Disney Cast Members check on these rock images from time to time to make sure that these Hidden Mickeys are in place for us to enjoy!

We just returned from a stay in the newly renovated rooms at POFQ. We found hidden Mickey’s in the shower curtain and in the curtain that separates the bathroom from the bedroom area. Of course, the same hidden Mickey in the wood shelf is still there. I thought I’d share the news in case you hadn’t found those Mickey’s!
