I had a recent opportunity to check out a few Disneyland Hidden Characters. I always enjoy visiting Walt’s original park. Over the years, Imagineers and artists have placed many compelling Hidden Images on Disneyland Resort property.
Take the Hidden Minnie along the right side of the long, scenic entrance queue of Indiana Jones Adventure. In an office just past the video room, Minnie Mouse is pictured on a partial magazine page on a desktop. The position of this magazine page changes from time to time, exposing more or less of the page. In this recent photo, only Minnie is fully visible.
I was dismayed to hear that the classic Hidden Mickey on the shield along the entrance queue of Matterhorn Bobsleds might have disappeared. From a distance, my heart sank as it appeared that the HM was no longer there. However, as you approach the coat of arms shield, the tiny, black Mickey image comes into view! It’s on a post on the right side after the queue splits, on a shield with a red and white coat of arms.
Exit Matterhorn Bobsleds on the Tomorrowland side to find a Hidden Nemo traced on the side of a wooden electrical box. It’s across the walkway from the Matterhorn exit at an entrance to a smoking area. (Thanks to Where’s Mickey).
Near the Disneyland Hotel, on the floor inside to the right of Goofy’s Kitchen and Steakhouse 55, a tiny gold classic Hidden Mickey is in the trail of Tinker Bell’s pixie dust at the lower right of a blue mosaic of a castle. (Thanks to Mehlanie Kayra and Rachel.)
I trust you’ll agree with me; these Hidden Gems are fun to find!
