Celebration Ministries, Inc., Spearheading Talent Spotlight In Conjunction with Night of Joy at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- So you think you can make "joyful noise"?

Celebration Ministries, Inc., is inviting you to prove it. The Texas-based ministry is conducting auditions of Christian musicians and singers -- groups and soloists -- that will give the most talented Christian music acts time on stage either Sept. 11 or Sept. 12 during Night of Joy 2009 at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Talent Spotlight presented by Celebration Ministries, Inc. marks the first time in the 27-year history of Disney's Night of Joy that the contemporary Christian music event will host an amateur talent showcase. As many as 40 music acts will be invited back from auditions to perform at a special stage location near the Star Tours attraction at the Studios.

Solo artists and bands can audition two different ways: online or in-person. Online auditions are currently underway -- through Aug. 29. In-person auditions will take place between Aug. 26 and Aug. 29 at Walt Disney World Resort. Pre-audition registration is required by visiting the Celebration Ministries Web site, www.cmievents.com. On the home page, click on Talent Spotlight. There is a registration fee of $80 per performer.

While Talent Spotlight is not billed as a "competition," performances at Disney's Hollywood Studios will be judged, with "a leading Christian record company artist relations executive" among the judges.
