Wow!!! Thanks for sharing! Did you plan to be on the Artist Point Balcony to capture the launch? Great photos!!
DEB: Thanks. I had dinner plans at Artist Point and had no idea the shuttle view would be spectacular from there. Fortunately our server, Stephen, came by a couple minutes before the launch and said we could go outside. It was amazing.

Great pix. It's always an incredible sight to witness. I witnessed the Shuttle take off back in Nov from the Swiss Family Treehouse. The rain clouds parted just enough to be able to see the orange glow of the Shuttle loom over Space Mountain. In a flash it was obscured by clouds. I was so amazed to see it, I forgot to take out my camera.

We got to see it from the air! We took off a few minutes before the launch and the pilot was nice enough to do a 360 so that both sides of the plane could get a glimpse. It was definitely memorable from up there!

My son and I were at Port Orleans in November when the shuttle took off. The clouds broke just in time to get a great view of the shuttle. It was incredible. Thanks for sharing your pics!

We are at the Villas at the Wilderness Lodge and we went down to the beach to watch the launch. It was great to be there with so many people still excited to watch a launch. Someone had a laptop to keep us up to date and we all counted down. Everyone cheered when they saw it!I got some pix on my cellphone, but will have to wait to get home to transfer them.

Thank you for posting these pics. Hubby and I were staying at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge that week. We drove to Titusville to watch the launch. I wondered what we would have seen from the resort and now I know. By the way, heading back to Orlando from the coast after a launch is alot like trying to leave the Magic Kingdom at park closing on a very busy Saturday. Everyone arrives over the course of the whole day but they all try to leave about the same time. Took us about 5 hours to get back to the resort.
