EPCOT Festivals Will Be Totally DIFFERENT in 2024

With a multitude of changes coming to EPCOT, the park is practically unrecognizable if you haven’t been in a while!

Now, Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana is open to the public, along with the new nighttime fireworks show, Luminous. And on top of that, we’ve finally been able to walk through the middle of World Celebration since the walls came down in 2023! But there’s still one that particular construction update that’ll going to bring some big changes to the EPCOT festivals.

EPCOT has four food festivals throughout the year — the Festival of the Arts, Flower & Garden Festival, Food & Wine Festival, and Festival of the Holidays. Each festival comes with a variety of food booths, seasonal entertainment, special merchandise, and unique activities.

But as of June 10th, 2024, the way that we experience EPCOT festivals is going to change! Why? Because as part of the EPCOT transformation, we’re getting two new festival spaces — CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza.

CommuniCore Hall is going to be an indoor space, home to multiple areas with various purposes. Inside you’ll find a character meet and greet space, as well as galleries, a demonstration kitchen, and a mixology bar.

Inside CommuniCore Hall, there will be areas that can be transformed for festival use. In the past, we’ve seen special food or beverage-themed classes pop up during festivals, and hopefully, we’ll get some of those offerings back in 2024 with the new space.

Outside, you’ll find CommuniCore Plaza. This area will include outdoor event spaces that will allow for festival offerings (maybe a place for food booths?) and there will also be a stage for performances. Most of the EPCOT festivals come with their own special entertainment, so it’ll be nice to have more room for additional performers.

For a limited time on the CommuniCore Plaza stage, you’ll be able to join Mirabel and Bruno in “¡Celebración Encanto!” to sing along with some of your favorite songs from Encanto!

So now you can see how festivals will be different at EPCOT in 2024! We’ll be doing a lot more celebrating in the front of the park. We can’t wait to check out these new spaces in a few short months.
