CLOSURE Date Revealed for Blizzard Beach in Disney World

Disney World is always a flurry of activity. Something NEW is always being built (have you been to EPCOT lately?), new rides are on the way, new lands are being dreamed up, and more.

That means, though, that some things must close for refurbishment, and that’s the case with one of Disney World’s water parks.

Earlier, we reported that Typhoon Lagoon is set to reopen on March 19th after a refurbishment. Well, on that same date, Blizzard Beach will close for a refurbishment.

Although Blizzard Beach closed for a refurbishment last yearlater reopening with some new Frozen-themed areas, it is closing again for more refurbishment.

Here’s the thing — we haven’t seen both water parks open at the same time since before Disney World’s closure in 2020.

Disney World has not announced what kind of refurbishment the water park will undergo or if there will be more re-theming, but we’ll keep an eye out for more details. In the meantime, Typhoon Lagoon will be open, and we’re curious to see what kind of refurbishment happened there.

  1. I would guess Typhoon Lagoon closed for its annual refurbishment, and that is why Blizzard Beach opened up temporarily. With Blizzard Beach closing again, that tells me that there is more retheming to be done at that park.
