For many people, Disney World is their happy place!
With thrilling rides, enchanting characters, and a sense of magic in the air, we can definitely understand why so many people can’t seem to get enough time at The Most Magical Place on Earth. And if you’ve ever fantasized about actually living at Disney World — well, you can! There’s actually a neighborhood on property called Golden Oak, and residents here get lots of amazing Disney perks.
What is Golden Oak?
Golden Oak is a neighborhood community on Disney World property, located southeast of Magic Kingdom, near the Four Seasons Resort Orlando. It’s run by Four Seasons Private Residences.
The community was designed to be a luxury place to live at Disney World, and the goal was certainly achieved!
How Much Does it Cost to Live There?
Houses in Golden Oak start in the $2 million range. That’s right, that’s their STARTING price! It’s incredibly expensive to live here, but hey, you’re on Disney World property.
There are currently 8 neighborhoods to choose from, and they celebrate “Old World architecture and Florida resort-style living.” The Cottages at Symphony Grove is the newest addition to the property, and features “enchanting cottages built in timeless architectural styles.”

What is Life Like at Golden Oak?
One of the biggest benefits of living at Golden Oak is being so close to Disney property. Residents here have access to park and Disney Springs transportation, various lounges around Walt Disney World, and extra time in the parks.
Residents also have their own concierge service when it comes to Disney World. This service helps them schedule their time in the parks, including special experiences like VIP tours, dining reservations, tee times, and park and event tickets. The concierge service can help with services at home as well, including planning Disney-inspired holiday decor and house maintenance.
Those who live at Golden Oak can also have their merchandise purchases delivered to their home, can play golf at discounted rates, and have early access to register for runDisney events. Occasionally, Walt Disney World will host special events for Golden Oak residents specifically!
While Golden Oak comes with a pretty hefty price tag, the life sounds really sweet! But since a multi-million dollar home isn’t in the budget right now, it looks like we’ll just have to dream. We’ll just have to settle for visiting Disney World frequently, which isn’t a bad deal, if you ask us!

You’d think they would make something more affordable for average people to buy. Celebration like but with the perks.
I thought that the “cast members” were afforded accommodations.
