This is EXPENSIVE hibachi!!! It was nice to have a break in the A/C but we have better hibachi places at home. They didn’t even have fried rice! Save your time and money and eat at one of the MANY other great places at Epcot and eat hibachi when you go home.

Pros:

Indoor seating, air conditioned, fun to watch

Cons:

Expensive, no fried rice

The experience was on par with most other teppanyaki restaurants in America. The service was competent. The chef slogged through the standard banter, but was uninspired. The food has become more bland since we last visited about 5 years ago. It was still fun, but not worth the price and the time spent - go find a local teppan grill near home and spend your Epcot time and money on something unusal.

Pros:

watching your food being prepared

Cons:

high price, bland food, disengaged staff

My daughters and I dined here on Saturday, July 1st. It was the first night of our vacation and when I booked it I couldn't think of a better way to kick off our vacation. This was our third time eating here and will be our last. I felt we were rushed and the quality of the food was poor. My steak was very fatty and the rice was cold, stuck together in a clump and very salty

Pros:

None

Cons:

Price and food quality

We ate here for a quick full service meal on our plan. We didn't want to take up too much time from our evening at Epcot. That said, that's exactly what we got.

If you're looking for a special meal, or a romantic meal, look elsewhere. The food is ok, about the same as any Japanese restaurant, so you can maybe do better around your home in terms of a special meal. Service was fine, but our chef was so obviously new that I felt bad for him when everyone from our table was watching the show at the next table. He was sweet and gracious throughout. The meals were a few dollars more than they'd be off-Disney. While that's expected, it's also a good reason to just pass on this during your trip to Disney.

I have nothing against this restaurant, but you can eat at a restaurant like this whenever you want. Next time I'll choose somewhere more unique.

Pros:

Fast Meal

Cons:

Loud and Rushed

We've been coming to Teppan Edo for years, and I have to say, this was our worst visit. First of all, they changed the noodles. Now they use what seems to be a gluten-free skinny noodle that is awful. They changed the rice...from white rice to a rice with beef. Then they changed the veggies by adding cabbage! This time our filets tasted old (liver-y), even though it was the week between Christmas and New Years and the turnover was extreme--no need for old steaks. I've always given this restaurant a 10...but no more.

Pros:

Great service

Cons:

They changed the noodles, rice, and veggies!

We hadn't been able to get a reservation on our past couple of trips. We were so looking forward to dining here again. Somewhat disappointed. We were a party of 6. The chicken was good but nothing exceptional. One person in our party said the steak was very chewy. The others that ordered the steak said it was ok. Would have loved more noodles with the vegetables. The noodles and salad were the best part of the meal. They didn't serve fried rice, just white rice and it was a big lump in a bowl. For what the cost is for the meals we should be getting better cuts of meat, overall a better meal.

Pros:

watching the chef prepare the food

Cons:

price, sitting with other people

I realize that everyone's experience at this restaurant may be different, but for us it was amazing! Our party of 6 had a table to ourselves. Our server and chef, Riko and Masayoshi, were very fun and engaging - Riko even gave us an origami memento for our first visit. The food was excellent - my wife said the salmon was the best she's ever had, and I enjoyed the shrimp. My kids loved the steak and the sushi. It was easily our best dining experience during our 5-day trip to Disney World. We can hardly wait to go back to Teppan Edo again!

Pros:

Everything was amazing!

Cons:

Nothing!

Teppan Edo is a sleek and fun experience in the heart of World Showcase. If you like Japanese cuisine - or have always wanted to try it - then this might make a memorable stop for you family. The chefs make the meal interactive and are pretty funny, and the food is very approachable. Now if you've got a good teppanyaki restaurant in your home town, then it might be worth choosing something more exotic while you're visiting World Showcase. But if not or if you just really like hibachi-style meals, then this is a good choice.

Pros:

Chic atmosphere, fun experience, and approachable food.

Cons:

You may have something similar at home.
