Well this is not quite the glowing review I gave this place back in 2017. My husband and I ate here in March (2019). I was looking forward to the shrimp and grits but definitely saturated in garlic, and I love garlic. Husband had the make your own salad but it did not have even half the optional ingredients that it used to offer. Not sure this is a stop for us next visit.
Pros:
it's ok....Cons:
choices and quality has droppedReviewed by HOBBES Review Date: 11/24/2017

Did not enjoy the options at POFQ
Very little choice if you don't eat meat-the Build your Own salad has gone to be replaced with a "You eat what we give you" salad. There was a "plant-based" burger but it had no picture to show you what yiou were getting
It appears the taste of New Orleans is SALT and lots of it. Several of the dishes we had came with fries or chips so salty they made your mouth sore!
The Create your own pasta bar had no list up anywhere to tell you what the choices were-we went over to Riverside and they had a list up with the pasta, protein and sauces available.
The most interesting flavours of pizza did not come in individual sizes-so its "both eat pizza or waste half".
Too many of the dishes were from the South-don't get me wrong, theres nothing wrong with that but a lot of the people coming to POFQ are coming for the resort rather than to eat Southern food and there were very few "safe" options on the menu
Pros:
Riverside is only a few minutes away...Cons:

I can not believe the high prices this place charges. Any other food court, including Dixie landings(port orleans riverside) next door is reasonably priced. Can not believe the cost difference, will not stay at here again. I like riverside SO much better anyway
Pros:
tastes goodCons:

We've been staying at the FQ for years and I can't say that the food court has improved. The choices are few and the refrigerators in front of the registers is a waste of space. They need a grab and go for bakery items instead of being in containers at the pancake section. I waited in line for a bagel and found out that I could've just taken one. There is no one there to direct the traffic. Most times we walked down to Riverside - much more selection in their food court. I miss the old parade float decorations...not happy with the warehouse painted floors look.
Pros:
More SeatingCons:

This is by far our least favorite resort food court. The offerings seem very limited, it seems you have to wait a long time for everything to be prepared. The area was never overly crowded, but the music played seems annoying making the atmosphere kind of hectic. All the cast members were very helpful and pleasant though. We made sure we ate elsewhere before returning to the resort, just not very appealing.
Pros:
no large crowds, helpful cast memebersCons:

OMG....don't walk, RUN from this place! Wife had the chicken strips while I tried the fried chicken and ribs combo. Chicken strips were as dry as a bone and tasteless and the fries cold as can be. The fried chicken and ribs were not the worst meat I have ever had, but in the top two! Chicken had an "off" flavor I can't even describe and the ribs were so fatty they couldn't even be eaten. The corn was cold (not even near warm) and the cornbread was dry, dry, dry. I understand that I am not expecting "haute cuisine", but these were just plain bad. Service might be better if staff took care of the customers rather than talking among themselves, This was at about 7:30 PM, and now I understand why the place was almost empty on September 3rd, 2013!
Pros:

We had dinner at this food court on Tuesday May 21, 2013 at 9 p.m. after checking into the hotel. Maybe it was the time of day, but we had a terrible experience.
The food was horrible and the service was super slow. We order pizza, mac and cheese, pasta and meatballs, chicken strips, and a gluten free burger with french fries. No one was happy with their meal.
Avoid this food court whenever possible. I hope to never eat here again.

The jambalaya was very tasty. My wife had the bacon cheeseburger, which she enjoyed. Breakfasts were good. The staff was very helpful. They need to bring back the parade float decorations. The atmosphere felt sparse with just Mardi Gras beads hanging from the ceiling. They need some Disney magic.
Pros:
We love the French Quarter and the cajun entrees.Cons:
Could open before 7:00am for early park entry participants. Sparse decorations.Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 06/04/2020

I split a fried shrimp platter and a meatball sub with another person here. We loved it. Shrimp was crispy, but we aren’t too picky with fried foods as long as they are crisp and hot. The meatball sub was toasted under the broiler when we ordered so the bread was toasty, cheese melted and it was served warm. The meatballs were tasty and tender. The marinara was really good, but we aren’t fine dining Italian experts!
Loved the house made chips when we are traditionally French fry people. They were well seasoned, thick and crispy.
We enjoyed our meal and would have dined there more often if it was closer to Port Orleans Riverside.
