Menus at Pioneer Hall: Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue

Party of 17 had a great time. We thought food was delicious, entertainment a lot of fun, atmosphere great for family. Kept adults and kids alike well entertained. It was our first Hoop De Doo Revue but everyone agrees that it will be a must do each time we visit Disney World. We used two TS per person on dining plan and were seated midway back on main floor. It was a lot of fun.

Pros:

all

Cons:

none

A bucket list item but mainly just a one and done sort of deal. Food was hit or miss and often times my party felt ignored by our server due to how many tables he had to serve (which we are certain was out of his control). Show was cute- the actors were funny but some jokes were outdated and could use a rewrite.

Pros:

The cornbread was the star of the dinner.

Cons:

The ribs were inedible- almost rubbery tasting. The food when it first comes out is not hot cause it sits around.

There's so much wonderful food and amazing free entertainment in WDW it's hard to understand why anyone is choosing to waste time and money on this. Firstly the show itself is very well performed but it's horribly dated and needs a re-write. Feels like they've been making those jokes since the 1970s. Then there's the very average stodgy food which could be cold when it gets to you and will never get refilled because your poor stressed server is too busy for that and has stopped caring by the 3rd sitting of the night. It's a very loud experience with audience participation and music in a relatively small hall. And speaking of small, seats are packed in shoulder to shoulder. Forthe money charged it's also just not good value and Disney need to lift their game here. Just Hoop de Don't.

Pros:

Actors do the best they can

Cons:

Very crowded and loud. Don't expect any actual refills of anything. Stressed servers, below average food and a show that badly needs an update.

The show was great as always.

Pros:

Show was upbeat and kept you entertained the whole time.

Cons:

We have been to Hoop Dee Doo many times and we were disappointed in the food. It is all you care to eat, however when we asked for a salad refill, the waitress said I\\'ll get that for you and we never saw it. We never go a refill on anything that we asked for. There were 4 of us and the amount of sides we had to begin with was enough for 2 people. As much as we enjoyed the show, I don\\'t know if I would give it another try after our recent experience.

It had been many years since we did this and decided to do it this trip since friends were with us. The food was okay. The ribs were good but the beans were cold. The corn bread was good but I miss the strawberry vinaigrette dressing on the salad. The one they have now was too spicy for me taste. The chicken was good but the strawberry shortcake needed more strawberries and less cake. The show is always entertaining and we all enjoyed it. Since the only seating available was Tier 3, we had no choice. If you choose to use the Tier 3 seating, everyone sits in one line so you cannot hold a conversation with anyone other than the two people seated next to you. The chairs turn so you can see the show. However, you cannot see what is happening directly below you. Everyone should do this once. It is fun.

Pros:

Entertainment

Cons:

Seating

This one was tough for me. We've all heard of the Hoop Dee Doo and everyone loves it and I wanted to, I really, really wanted to but.... C'mon. 4 adults (actually 2 parents and 2 teens) $300 bucks, fried chicken, and cheesy entertainment. First off, they stuff you in there. I was constantly getting bumped by someone. The food is fine- fried chicken, ribs, mashed potatoes, corn, beans and salad but again $300. Unlimited beer and wine is only possible if you can get a server to bring it to you. We had a total of 3 beers at our table. I also understand that I'm paying for a dinner show and while I did laugh a few times I just don't understand the hype. I'm glad after 40 years of traveling to Disney that I finally went but will I be back? Not a chance! And I am thankful that my kids grinned and beared it without any complaints!!

Pros:

???

Cons:

Cost, food

After reading all the glowing reviews I felt let down by the show and the food. The show was not as good as the reviews I read and the food was not as good either. The show was ok not great and the food was nothing special. The chicken was dry and the ribs were too syrupy. I did not think this was worth the money and we sat 15 feet from the stage. Will not go again.

Pros:

Dinner and a show

Cons:

not as good as the reviews

First the positive, we did this for the first time on 4/6/13. I bit the bullet and made an ADR after reading all the glowing reviews. The service was excellent, the entertainers are very good and funny, the food is good (ribs a little tough, but I think it would be difficult to make them tender when you are cooking that many), strawberry shortcake was the best we ever had! Server asked if my daughter (10) would like some mac and cheese and she did and thought it was the best she ever had! Now our nitpicks: price is outrageous. We sat on the upper section to try save a few dollars, but still paid over $200 for the 4 of us. We were seated at a table with seats that actually face away from the stage, but then swivel when you want to view the show. Tough to eat and watch the show with children. I would definitely suggest to anyone with smaller children to sit on the floor seats where you have a regular chair. Didn't enjoy that you had to park and take an internal bus to the Pioneer Hall. Bus was crowded as it is also used for stops for the people camping there. The tent area looked completely packed, would never do that. Overall, our family enjoyed it, but I don't know that we would go again.

Pros:

fun, all you care to eat and drink

Cons:

price, seating

We attended on Dec 9,2023. As usual, the food is a 7/10, free beer/wine is an added bonus, the show is corny but very enjoyable. Having taxes and tips included in the price is an added bonus. Definitely worth attending T least once

Pros:

The Christmas decorations and show theming is an added bonus while attending in Dec

Cons:

Ribs were a bit tough

Food was good, service was quick and good, entertainment was excellent. I was with a large group of people with varied likes and dislikes...this place was fun for all. I had been ambivalent about this, but will definitely add this to my list of musts In the future.

Pros:

Food, fun, entertainment!
