Free Genie is USELESS!!! We tried to use it a couple times to see what it was suggesting. 9 times out of 10 it was recommending something that wasn't even on our list or that was on the complete opposite side of the park! After one day trying to use it we didn't bother.

I guess people who love it never experienced Fast Pass where you could book 3 attractions a day before you even left for your trip. And then once they were used you could book up to three more. It spread people out and made even standby lines bearable.

New system; pay even more, no guarantee you’ll get any passes. Getting up early, on my phone, only getting one ride at a time. Back on my phone an hour after the park opens for the next pass. Still only able to get the one ride for hours later, which means I won’t likely get another pass that day.

Disney used to be the masters of moving people. Now its longer standby lines, empty “fast pass” lines, and irritated zombies on their phone all day.

Increase everyone’s tickets by $15 and go back to the old system which worked.

Cons:

Phones, lines, expense, disappointment in not getting tickets, no ability to preplan your trip. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. And Disney should never follow Universal’s lead. There’s a reason I go to WDW. But not anymore.

wish I could give it 0 stars don't waste your money vacation ruined most frustrating thing Disney has ever done if you want to spend your vacation walking from one end of the park to the other with your face in your phone then you might like genie as for me, I want to see the park and ride the rides genie plus made that impossible i will not be going back until they fix this disaster

genie was a nightmare ruined my vacation it would have been better to wait on the long lines less frustrating I might have to stay away from Disney until they change this big mistake called genie plus

get up early to book rides you can't get the ones you want and spending all day with your face in the phone not my idea of a vacation

I only gave this 1 star because I couldn't give it 0 stars. Biggest mistake Disney ever made; genie is a nightmare. I just came back from Disneyland California no magic bands park has terrible Wi-Fi and the times we picked for rides kept getting changed by Disney in 4 hours we rode 1 ride what a disgrace

If I have to work as hard as Molly is being portrayed in the YouTube videos, it's just not worth it. I mean you're at WDW for a vacation, not for a marathon. If it involves that much effort, it's not worth it. Also, if I have to use the app to order food, forget it. I'll be happy at universal studios down the street.

Cons:

Too much work, too much depending on an app. Too little like an actual vacation. Plus it's expensive, like EVERYTHING at WDW. If they could get away with it, they'd charge for air and bathroom privileges.

Absolutely terrible! Why oh why the chang? Holidaying from the UK for 2 weeks after the covid restrictions were lifted and we were so excited to finally get back here. No expense spared on this magical trip and we feel utterly ripped off only 3 days in. 6.45am start to book pretty much 1 ride a day, only to still have to queue! After you have used your 1 pass, you back in your phone but more often than not, there are no more passes left to book in the day. The only way to not waste the day meant we queued hours and hours to get at least 1 more ride before giving in to exhaustion and boredom and going home. If they brought back the old fast pass it would be better, but only because Genie plus is so unbearable. Why don’t Disney do virtual queues too? Surely all they have to do is look at universal to see they can still pillage their guests for extra money but at least offer some sort of plus service! Also magic kingdom is in need of a huge facelift as are the rest of the Disney parks. We try to go to Disney every year. But after this experience, I don’t think we’ll be back again. A money making monster with no customer thought. The parks are old and tired looking, they could have face lifted it all in the covid year with no quests and no distribution. It’s cost a fortune and It feels like covid is just an excuse to offer a poor service for more money now.

Pros:

UK guests get a fighting chance if booking a new ride instead of US citizens getting to pre book 3 months ahead. The food ordering, but it was extremely frustrating to use as a uk guest.

This is a total waist of time and money. I purchased for my trip on November 12th to the 17th 2021 and it never worked. I would select the rides that I wanted and when we got to them it would not work. The cast members told me to contact Disney who you could never reach by phone. I went to the hotel desk at the Coronado springs resort where I was saying and they kept telling to change my password. Finally one person contact the IT department and said to change my email address and password and it still didn't work. I spent hours to fix the problem. I paid over $120 and never used it once. I told the hotel desk I wanted a refund as it is not working and they said to email Disney when I get home and request a refund. I emailed them on 11/19/2021 and again today 12/02/2021 and no one has responded to me. I have seen on many blogs that a lot of people are having the same problem. I would advise you not to purchase Genie +.

Pros:

I have nothing positive to say as it did not work. Disney need to work out the bugs before selling this.

Cons:

The Cons are they are selling a very misleading product.
