Pros: View of illuminations
Cons: Wait time for food

Visited here as a party of 7 on 17th April. Our reservation was for 7.20 but we didn't get seated until 7.50. Our table was outside and was facing the lagoon, a perfect view for the forthcoming fireworks! Our orders were taken promptly but unfortunately our food did not arrive until 8.45. 4 of our party had ordered steak, however when they came all were cold as though they had been sitting around for a while. We did not complain as we were all so hungry. 3 of our party ordered hot tea with their desserts and again when the tea arrived the water was cool. This used to be my favourite restaurant but after this visit, THe Rose and Crown is not one I will be rushing back to visit in future.

Pros: Scotch Egg, outdoor patio, food
Cons: Birds

One of our new favorites. The Scotch Egg sounded awful, but tasted amazing. We loved it and will be back!!!

Pros: food, service, Sophie our waitress
Cons: none

We had a fabulous meal at the Rose and Crown. The soup was excellent. The fish was great. Our waitress Sophie was so nice and made sure we had everything we needed. I had a rotten headache that day but still had a lovely time! We will eat here again!!!

Pros: beer, pub menu, atmosphere, quick turnaround
Cons: crowds

Stopped many times in the Pub while in EPCOT. While it can be crowded, people come and go quickly. Still have the usual British beers on tap, but expanded the mixed drink menu. The wife still talks about the Welsh Dragon that she had and LOVED!!!! A perfect choice for the ladies. We were delighted to see an expanded food menu in the pub. The English Bulldog sandwich was awesome and a good price. The corned beef was very light on the beef end, and almost twice the price. Will always go back, service is always great.

Pros: sticky toffee pudding, potato leek soup
Cons: long wait time, greasy fish

This is my DH favorite restaurant. So for his birthday I made ressies. We ate here on 3/22. It was raining on and off throughout the evening. After checking in, we recieved a pager and was given large garbage bags to place over our stroller and ecv. I purposely reminded the cast members that it was my DH birthday and requested to be seated outside. We knew we might have to wait to get those seats so we walked down to look at the lake. We waited over an hour and kept going to the check in and was told we were next. We weren't since we counted numerous parties being seated after us. The manager was summoned over by another party after they had been waiting over an hour and was seated immediately out on the deck. We noticed that since the weather wasn't very nice people seemed to be taking a longer time to eat so that they didn't have to get up or lose their seat out on the deck. The manager notice this as well. Unfortunately, we were seated inside which ruined my plans of a festive birthday and since it was our last night there our only chance to view Illuminations. I had seen it before but my elderly mother and DD4 was seeing it for the first time. Since it took so long for us to be seated our food had just arrived when the shoe started. We missed watching it because we were all so hungry and wanted to eat instead. Being that it was chilly we all ordered the potato leek soup which was delicious. We also ordered the fish n chips since it was lent. I noticed on the slip that was put at our table "Birthday Celebrations" so I figured maybe a cupcake for my DH or something. Nothing at all. My DH wasn't upset but I was for him. Our fish n chips was like the past times we were there however, it seemed they were more greasy than before. We all noticed it later since we don;t eat fried foods very much it you know what I mean. I was very disappointed this time around but will probably visit next time as this is a family favorite.

Pros: Great service, awesome fish and chips
Cons: Weird outdoor lighting

The servers here were SO nice. Of course the fish & chips are great, and the potato & leek soup was good too.
We sat outside on a cold night, but there were heaters on the patio. The only problem was that they glowed red, so we kind of felt like we were dining in Dante's inferno!

Pros: Food & Service
Cons: None

Our first trip to Rose & Crown was a cool, cloudy day in December 2012. I was hesitant, not being a fish fan, but was not disappointed. The shepherds pie hit the spot. The rest of my family, being fish fans, enjoyed the fish & chips. We sat outside with a wonderful quiet view of the lake, though we did request to sit under the heater. We'll definitely do again...

Pros: Good Food, Great View of Illuminations
Cons: A little slow and the bar is LOUD

We ate here our last night at WDW so we could have a good view of Illuminations. Our ADR was 7:50pm, but we didn't get seated until about 8:15pm, which was fine since we were there to see Illuminations anyway. I was very happy to be seated outside, even though it was chilly because the bar noise inside was almost unbearable. I had the fish and chips which was very good; light and not greasy. DH had the scotch egg, a port dish, and the panna cotta. He loved it all. It did take a while to be served, but the place was absolutely packed, so I'm not terribly surprised.

Pros: good food
Cons: slow service

My friend and I had dinner here on the std dining plan on 01/22/13. We both had the Grilled Tenderloin and Fried Fish, which was delicious and very filling. We were too full to eat desert, so I took the Cheesecake and she took the Jaffa tart to go. They were both delicious as well, but the Jaffa tart did not travel very well. Our waitress was very nice, but once again the service was extremely slow. I have eaten here several times before, but my friend had not. I love the food, but the seating and service are too slow and take up too much park time.

Pros: Food, service, atmosphere
Cons: None

I hadn't eaten here since I was a kid with my own parents. Husband, daughter and I ate here for lunch and it was very good. We were seated outside under a cover and it was great - good weather for outdoor seating. Server was friendly and gave us his recommendations. Husband had fish & chips which he enjoyed. Daughter had pasta with turkey meat sauce which she ate and butternut squash soup which she ate since I lied and told her it was carrot soup. I had cottage pie - wonderful. Sticky toffee pudding for dessert was not what I expected but very nice. Would highly recommend and will return.

Pros: service, location, seating
Cons: serving sizes, prices

Eh. Pretty much the best way to describe it. The Scotch Eggs were pretty good. Hubby ordered the fish and chips and I ordered the ploughman's lunch so we could trade off and sample both. I thought the fish was ok, nothing to write home about. the ploughman's lunch was an over priced cold cut platter. Smallest servings of all of the restaurants. I had the jaffa tarts and wasn't impressed. Hubby ordered queen's cake and said it was good. Kids ordered fish and chips and meaty macaroni. Those came w/soup or salad. They didn't want either but ordered the soup. It was some sort of roasted squash and I really liked it, no one else did. Servers were very nice. We might try it again someday, but order different things. Lots of other places to chose from 1st

Pros: Always a favorite!
Cons: bar is very crowded

Dining here is marvelous once you are seated at your table, but waiting in the bar to be called is really crowded!

Food is great, atmosphere is wonderful, wait staff is very friendly and service was pretty quick. What more can I say?

Pros: Good Food, Great Service
Cons: Strange seating arragements, plastic curtains down blocked lagoon view

For me this place was just ok.

My Husband and I ate here for dinner on 11/28. The food was good I had the traditional fish & chips while my Husband had Steak & fish. Both were very good and hot.

My biggest complaint was when we came by several hours PRIOR to our ADR I asked for a lagoon view table so we could sit and relax and see IllumiNations. I understand that this is simply a request and is not guaranteed.

When we came by closer to our ADR they showed us a table against the wall before the corner of the patio. So it was a pretty obscured view, espcially because they had the "windows/walls" down on the awings and so everything on the water was completely distorted.

I asked if we could have any of the NUMEROUS tables that were around the corner (and empty) but was told that they were already reserved. So we took the table because we were exhausted and hungry.

As the night progressed, I became more and more annoyed with the fact that people who had NOT requested a lagoon view table were given one over and over again. I was annoyed with one of the tables next to us that had 3 adults and 5 VERY noisy kids and they were playing a singing version of "Name that Disney movie." Fun, yeah...but honestly did the ENTIRE patio need to hear?

Husband and I both really liked the food, the service was great...but we actually left Epcot before IllumiNations started.

Pros: Pretty much everything
Cons: Wiggly table, long wait for food

This restaurant went above and beyond all of our previous expectations.

We had a 12:15 ADR on Christmas Eve. Due to the heavy traffic flow, we arrived closer to one. We expected not to be seated right away. But au contraire! We were not even three minutes until our pager went off.

The staff was very polite and very personable.

We realized the only two downsides right around the same time, about ten minutes after the drinks had been served. The first was that our table was wiggly. The second was that it was taking longer than usual for our food to arrive.

Once the food did arrive, it did not disappoint. Both my sister and I ordered the breakfast burger. The portion size was perfect for me, I ate all of the burger and and all of my fries and felt full but not bloated. Plus, it was very tasty. My sister was not feeling well that day so she only ate 1/3 of her burger and then decided to pick at her fries, but she still thought it was good.

My youngest sister, being ever the traditionalist, ordered fish and chips. This was perfect for her. She usually can not clean her plate at Disney restaurants, but she also finished feeling full but not stuffed. Dad ordered the corn beef sandwich, and he loved it.

Something else Dad loved was the price. We were not on the Disney Dining Plan, and the most expensive meal was 18.99

Overall, we really enjoyed this restaurant, we'll definitely be returning, and we highly recommend it.

Pros: .
Cons: Customer service, food

This was our first and last visit to this restaurant. Our main complaint was that we made reservations there mainly for the purpose of getting a good viewing spot for illuminations. When we checked in we requested a spot on the water and were told they'd do their best to accommodate the request.

About 15 minutes later, our name was called and we asked if our request was met. We were told it was, but when we were seated we were not near the water and our table was under cover. Our waitress said the fireworks were not high in the air so we'd have a good view. I knew that wasn't true. There were three tables directly next to the water which, although clean, were not filled for at least 10 minutes. I went back and requested another table and was offered one right next to the one we were at. I told them we were willing to wait for a different table but that fell on deaf ears.

The food wasn't very good in my opinion. My wife had the scotch egg and a cottage pie and I had the steak and fish. The best item on the table was the bread.

This was easily the worst restaurant experience I've had in my 9 trips to Disney World and it put a damper on what was otherwise a wonderful trip. My advice is to skip this restaurant.
