Lunch at ADR 12:30pm on Oct. 30, 2009. Seated immediately. Great place to relax after the heat (was near 90). Draft beer was a real treat... getting tired of the bud light offerings elsewhere, Yak and Yeti has several to choose from including a Safari Amber that was superb. Didn't pay attention to cost/value, we were on Deluxe DDP. Appetizers - Lettuce Cups and seared Ahi Tuna was great. Couldn't eat it all. DW had sweet and sour chicken, I had Crispy Mahi Mahi -- both were out of this world good. For dessert, the fried wontons with skewered pinapple was delicious. Liked it so much, we thought about skipping our Jiko dinner and returning here... Waiter said, no ADR, no problem. We went to Jiko anyway to try something different. Would come back here, absolutely!

Luckliy we were on the DDP, otherwise our bill was $150, but the food was really worth it. I had the ribs after reading about them, and everyone was right they were awesome. My husband and daughter had the steak and were impressed as well. The desserts were the best. We rated this our best meal of the vacation. I would give this place higher than 10 :-)

I had never been to Yak and Yeti, so I did not know what to expect. I did look at Allears.net's menu, so I had a feeling. I had the duck and my husband had the salmon. They were fantastic! I have eaten almost everywhere in Disney World and this was one of the best! The boys had the eggroll and loved it. My daughter ordered it, but like everything else, only ate the french fries.
My boys are both allergic to peanuts, so the chef came out to talk to us.
It did take a while to seat us, we had a 1:00 reservation and it took about 20 min. I have found that if you eat and early lunch or dinner, or a late lunch or dinner, it does not take as long. I need to listen to myself.

Uncomfortable chairs and very noisy
|

Visited for lunch on 10/23. Our table for two was surrounded by large tables for eight. Very noisy, lots of commotion. The dim sum appetizer was adequate, no more. Stir fry beef and brocolli was overpriced for the quality. The Pho was actually very well seasoned, and the garnishes generous, but their size, and that of the cellophane noodles (which were a foot and a half long) were very hard to manage. I literally had to take a knife to my soup so I could get it on the spoon. I had no problem paying the restaurant's inflated prices for the luxury of sitting down and being served, but I do expect the waiter to show a little more professionalism and not repeatedly refered to us as "you guys". In conclusion, after seeing the very long counter service lines in the park, and considering it was VERY hot, it was nice to sit down and eat in air conditioning, but this place isn't worth any special trip.

This was a surprisingly great meal for my guy and I! We entered on a whim with no prior reservations and were seated quickly.
We started with the Dim Sum Basket, and loved each of the selections, particularly the shrimp siu mai. I then had the Maple Tamarind Chicken and loved it! The rice was perfectly cooked and not sticky, the chicken was fresh, and the sauce was salty-sweet perfection.
Great options on the menu (and a full bar) made this an ideal spot for two adults to have a casual, sit-down lunch.

We had dinner here on 10/24. Myself, my DH and 3 boys ages 6,4,1. I had the miso salmon and he had the shrimp and steak. Salmon was good, neither terrible nor excellent though. My DH liked the shrimp but the steak was tough to cut through and took a while to eat as it was "chewy". He did not eat all of it.
We requested to have white rice instead of the jasmine rice and was told by our server that the jasmine really is white rice, they just call it jasmine rice - it did taste like white rice. We did enjoy the wontons for dessert, they were GREAT. Kids had a cheeseburger and lo mein noodles, ice cream sundaes for dessert, they both enjoyed their meals.
After having excellent meals on the dining plan at places like 'Ohana and Whispering Canyon Cafe, Yak & Yeti left us feeling disappointed. With so many other great dining choices, we would only eat here again if we were left with no other options.

This was one of our favorite meals of the week!! We were on the deluxe plan and all got different appetizers. I had pork eggrolls which were very good. My cousin had a tuna (I think) appetizer, and my friend had the lettuce cups. 2 of us had the chicken lo mein for our entree which was very good. The other member of our party had the mahi mahi and loved it. Dessert was fantastic! I had the delicious fried wontons, my cousin had the mango pie, and our friend had the sorbet. I also had 2 Yak Attacks - which were my favorite alcoholic beverages of the week!!!

We were very disappointed with our visit to this restaurant. We have previously had wonderful meals there. I had the honey chicken. The vegetables were raw and cold, not stir fried at all. The chicken tasted like it was from the children's meal and just tossed in some sauce and had been sitting under the lights for a long time. I had ordered brown rice and got white. My husbands meal, sweet and sour pork, was barely warm. Unfortunately, we will think a long time before eating here again.

I had the shrimp lo mein and my fiance' had the steak and shrimp. The food was delicious. We also had the pork eggrolls for an appetizer and the cream cheese stuffed wontons for dessert. We will definitely go back next time we visit Disney.

One of the best TS meals of our week. Big portions, good service and good food. Everything went smoothly. We checked at 1:15 for a 1:30 ADR and were seated with-in 5 minutes. A must do anytime we return to AK.

We were able to walk-in for lunch here around noon on Sunday, October 4, 2009.
Decor is great. Good lighting. Of course, we had a seat by the window, so that may have helped. It was fun watching everyone walk by.
My parents had the Mahi Mahi and the Mandarind Chicken and both enjoyed their dishes. I had the tempura shrimp - not outstanding, but certainly good. My husband had the Shaoxing steak and found it tasty. Our one-year son ate everything off everyone's plates and seemed most fond of the jasmine rice.
We were on the free dining plan so we also went for dessert. LOVED the fried wontons. MMMMMMM.
My dad tried the 3 sorbet dish, and I honestly can't remember what my mom and husband had. I was too busy gorging on wontons.
The service was so-so. My mother is blind, so I appreciate anyone who goes above and beyond for her, and he just seemed to be pretty ordinary - what you'd get in any chain restaurant. He just never seemed to connect with us.
Overall, an enjoyable experience. We'd go back again.

We ate here on Friday, 10-2-09. We walked in here without a reservation and were seated in about 10 minutes. The food was delicious. I hate the beef and broccoli and my husband the steak/rice combo. Portion size was great and the kids meals were also tasty. The shared brownie and ice cream dessert was fantastic. Don't hesitate to make a reservation here.

The best food of our visit!! Three of us had the duck - it was perfectly cooked - not greasy or fatty. It comes with a delicious orange wasabi glaze on the duck and on the side to dip in. DD12 had the salmon and thought it was "the best salmon she ever had!"
The desserts were great, too. My daughters shared the brownie sundae, which is supposed to be for 2 people, but could feed 4. I had the mango pie - my favorite dessert of the trip!
We will definitely be eating here on our next trip!

Can't say enough about this restaurant. Besides the fact that the theming and decor are really amazing, the food is just outstanding. We at here on Sept 28-no reservation, just walked up. This year we tried the Pork Eggrolls, which were awesome. The chili-plum dipping sauce was great. My husband had the Maple Tamarind Chicken and I had the Shaoxing Steak and Shrimp. This is one of those meals that I feel sad when all the food is gone! We had amazing service, as well. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant.
