I stayed for the first time in mid November. I usually stay at a deluxe property or Fort Wilderness. I absolutely loved this resort. I booked a preferred building and we were in building 14. It was close to everything and beautiful. The hotels were sold out for my three nights and it did not feel at all crowded there. I enjoyed it so much I rebooked on a bounce back offer. I can’t wait to go back.

Pros:

Beautiful grounds. Close to what we were doing.

Cons:

You could have a long walk depending on what building you get.

Not a fan… its pretty and the pool is okay with a small slide but we stayed in the princess rooms, and they were small and very dark, like a dungeon, not a royal suite… it is very spread out and the food was not great. Plus we had a room that was close to the main lobby compared to other rooms and when we swam in the main pool and walked back to the room it was miserable especially with kids! We stayed there for one night and I was done! Never again! I was not the only one that thought when I was complaining a family behind me overheard me and agreed. This is a nightmare for people with children. we walked enough in the parks we don’t want to walk forever back to our room!

Pros:

Pretty

Cons:

Not recommended for families… so much walking and dark rooms

Pros:

Very calm and peaceful atmosphere.

Cons:

Restaurants do not stand out.

This resort is amazing. I've stayed here twice and it is a amazing resort that you can rly spend time at for less than a deluxe resort.

Pros:

The pool is my favorite I've swam in on property. I love the theme and slide. The themeing is lovley, it's charm and vibe is great. The boat transport to disney springs and Port Orleans French Quarter is useful and a nice perk.

Cons:

The location in refrence to the parks isn't great. You rely on bus transport to all disney parks and waterparks. The resort is very large and the layout may be confusing.

I stayed may 3-5.The room was quiet. I really liked the theming in the royal rooms especially the fireworks on the headboard and the momentos given toPrincess Tiana by the other princeses. You also get a welcoming scroll from Princess Tiana The royal rooms are also in buildings close to the walkway to French Quarter and not too far from the lobby and food court. The bus stop near the lobby was closer to where my room was than the east bus stop.Going to the park at 7:25am and 10am on wed & thurs there were plenty of room on the bus when it got to the last bus stop. The longest wait was about 20min when I left mk at 11pm.I only ate at the food court once for breakfast at 7 am.It was not crowded.I liked laying on a hamock by the main pool (there was a quiet pool next to the building where I was staying)listening to movie trivia they were doing by the pool, going in the hot tub and roasting marshmallows. They also have a nice arcade with a large pac man game .I didn't go on a carriage ride but i saw them going around the resort and french quarter.

Pros:

royal rooms, carriage rides, boat to disney springs

Cons:

Large resort multiple bus stops

Just returned from our stay from April 25th to may 2nd at Port Orleans Riverside. As soon as we walked in from the airport shuttle, we were greeted to a lovely lobby with a fresh scent in the air and many staff at the desks waiting to help us with any questions. We heard some music outside and saw that some classic characters, Donald, Goofy and Pluto, were outside dancing to greet us, which we were told was rare to happen and felt very special.
We had arrived before three, but our room was already ready for us to go in and unpack with the AC on and was very clean. We had booked one of the Royal Rooms in Oak Manor and requested it to be close to a bus stop, which ended up being a corner room and just a brief walk to catch a bus each day. Although it was a parking lot view, there were many beautiful trees around that provided a peaceful atmosphere.

The beds and space fit three adults and one ten-year-old very comfortably, who loved the decorations and receiving a special invitation from princess Tiana at the front desk. The double sinks and bathroom curtains were very convenient for our early sleepers and those who got ready for bed later in the night.
The main pool was nice and refreshing with a slide for the little kids and poolside DJs who kept the crowds entertained. Despite there being only one food court, it was very spacious with different food stations all managed well and kept lines down even in busy mornings. The staff were all so kind and friendly to us and did their best to help guide us with any questions and quick to respond to requests for things like extra towels.

We waited no longer than 15-20 minutes for the busses and they were always nice and cool to sit on. They even ran some of the busses to our resort extra late which were lifesavers.

A beautiful relaxing resort that was a great respite from the crowds, hectic energy, and sensory overload of the parks. We believe anyone even kids would be happy to stay here on their Disney trip!

Pros:

Quiet, very kind staff, clean rooms, soft beds and pillows, royal rooms are spacious with excellent decor and themeing. Beautiful grounds with well maintained river, trails and plants everywhere.

Cons:

Some resort rooms tricky to find and navigate, and far from the lobby/other activities. Transportation can be a bit longer than other on property resorts.

Absolutely wonderful resort! My daughter & I stayed here in Nov. 2022 for her 18th birthday. We stayed in a standard view Royal Guest room in Parterre Place. Even though it was a standard room we had an easy walk to everything has we were just past the bridge to the main resort area. We ate a couple of meals at the food court and the food was very good & huge portions. We really had a great time in the lounge area during a Yeehaw Bob performance. He came into the audience during his break to meet everyone & personally thank them. He mentioned my daughter & I because we both had birthdays that week. The pool was great. Lots of shade, large pool bar with plenty of seating. They even had fishing, my daughter caught her first fish. The primary mode of transportation is by bus but there is a beautiful boat ride to Disney Springs. They even had nice resort specific options in the gift shop.

Pros:

Almost prefect

Cons:

None

We stayed in the Magnolia area of the resort. A lot of walking as resort is very spread out. Room was clean but bathroom is very small. Housekeeping was every other day but we managed to get enough towels each day. Housekeeping should be restored daily to all resorts not just deluxe. This resort has limited transportation available. The Ferry to Disney Springs or the bus to other parks. We had to order a minnie van a few times so we could get to parks for early entrance. Buses are crowded and people now can stand in the aisles. Staff was friendly and helpful but the resort needs some updating. Probably wont stay at this location again.

Pros:

Ferry service and staff nice

Cons:

Very spread out Needs update Not close to other parks Some Disney magic missing

What a beautiful resort! I feel like im in nature! Stayed in building 17.great size room. House keeping gave fresh towels every other day and emptied bins. New bedding on day 4. Comfortable beds. Cast members are very friendly and super helpful. Plenty of pools and laundry rooms next to them. Only a couple of minutes walk to the bus stop.

Pros:

Gorgeous resort, good size rooms.

Cons:

Could do with more clothes storage and a detachable shower head.

I have just arrived home from my 3rd stay at Port Orleans-Riverside. All 3 stays have been in Alligator Bayou. This stay was 9 days, with a connecting room in building 25. To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. The resort seems to have gone downhill in recent years. My biggest issue was the fact that there was no housekeeping other than fresh towels every other day. I can’t even say they emptied the trash. Of the three trash cans in the room, 1 was emptied. Every day I took out the trash and left it in the hall outside the door. I did the same with towels and bedding. It certainly felt like housework to me. The resort buildings and walkways showed wear that should be addressed. There was litter strewn about, as well as gum/food on the walkways. The food in the cafeteria is limited in choices and not of high quality. While some employees in the cafeteria we’re very pleasant, some were also quite gruff. Several times I said ‘good morning’ or ‘thank you’ and got no response. Although check in is at 3:00, one of our rooms was not ready until nearly 5:00. I won’t be staying here again. I’d rather pay a bit more for more food choices and housekeeping services daily.

Pros:

Lovely pools, quiet setting, close to bus stop

Cons:

No housekeeping, bland food/few choices, run down conditions
