Pros: food, atmosphere
Cons: none

Wow! We had heard about 'Ohana, but had never been until this trip. It is our new favorite!!! The food was absolutely delicious!!! Our children loved it too! They also enjoyed the entertainment and it was nice that they had something to keep them occupied. The waiter we had was very attentive. This has become our new fav at WDW!!!

Pros: Good food
Cons: Poor service, pacing, and ignoring a birthday

I have eaten at 'Ohana many times and we visited again on Saturday 7/23 (party of 4 adults). We were celebrating my sister's birthday- it was her first time at the restaurant.

We checked in for our 8:30 reservation almost an hour early (knowing we would probably have to wait) but we were seated almost immediately at a nice table by the window. The hostess who seated us was very pleasant and actually the only person in the restaurant who wished my sister a happy birthday the whole time we were there.

When our server arrived, I asked him to please pace the meal accordingly, as we were in no rush, and not to bring out anything else until we were done with the salad. We ate some salad and actually were about to ask for more when everything else started arriving. He forgot my sister's drink and it took forever to get the hot towels (which were needed after the sticky wings). The assistant server seemed to think we were crazy when we requested clean plates (who wants honey-lime salad dressing on their meat??) but he begrudgingly brought some. He brought pork and chicken right away but then it took almost half an hour for steak and another 20 minutes after that to get shrimp. When we were finished, the assistant server started clearing the table and reached over my husband to get a plate, which he promptly dropped on my husband (including the fork that was on top of the plate, which hit his glasses- if he had not been wearing those, he would have had a serious eye injury). The server said sorry and walked away. This was after he had dropped a whole tray of drinks nearby, which rained glass on the woman sitting behind us. I asked to speak to a manager, which took nearly 20 minutes. She ultimately said she would speak to the servers but didn't seem to care about the severity of the situation and simply took our drinks off the bill.

The food was good overall, although it was mostly rushed. Service- not so much.

Pros: Food, Service
Cons: Loud (but expected)

My family dined here June 24, 2011. I cannot stress the importance of pacing yourself when dining at 'Ohana. It is best to give yourself some time between courses, even when plates of food are being heaped upon your table nonstop - leaving room for dessert is a must. That being said, our reservation was later than we have made it in past (around 8pm) and we felt noticeably less hurried.

The food was delicious - the salad and bread were wonderful, as were the chicken wings. The pot stickers were nothing special, but you get them anyways. All the meats were well prepared, and paired nicely with the dipping sauces.

One of the highlights is always dessert - the most heavenly pineapple bread pudding known to man, complete with warm caramel sauce and bananas. Worth the price of admission by itself.

The restaurant does get loud, but that is to be expected. I nearly jumped out of my chair every time the entertainer would start up again, but the children's parade and activities were cute to watch.

Pros: food, entertainment, staff, view
Cons: Price (if not on a dining plan)

This is our family's favorite restaurant. We dine at 'Ohana at least once during every visit. We went on July 5, during a very busy holiday week. We waited just a few minutes after arrival. I think we were even seated earlier than our reservation time. The food here is delicious. From the bread and salad, through the wings dumplings, all of the meats and sides...right down to the amazing bread pudding with banana caramel sauce at the end. The waitress was constantly bringing us more skewers of whichever meat we chose. We were not on a dining plan this time and it was very costly (2 adults, kids age 14, 11, 7 and 4). Each adult had 1 drink and each kids ordered a specialty drink with the glowing clip-ons. The bill came to almost $300. But of all restaurants this is definitely the one I do not mind paying that amount. We love dinner at 'Ohana and can not wait for our next visit!!

Pros: Good food, great service, entertaining
Cons: none

We really enjoyed 'Ohana. It's a pre-set menu and a large amount of food. The kids enjoyed the hula and the coconut races. The service was very good. The bread pudding dessert with vanilla ice cream was excellent. A very enjoyable meal. Joe, our server, helped make our evening special.

Pros: Food
Cons: Nothing

Food quality outstanding, waitstaff pleasant and on the ball. They graciously served each course, and we never felt rushed despite the long lines of guests waiting for dinner. The Hula instructor was wonderful and kept the kids entertained during the meal. A wonderful experience and is now on our "must do" list when we return.

Pros: great dessert
Cons: too much food, crazy-busy atmosphere, felt rushed

My family has eaten at 'Ohana many times over the past twelve years, so we know what to expect. For the uninitiated, beware: This restaurant is wildly popular, so it is difficult to book. If you do manage an ADR, be prepared: This is NOT a quiet, peaceful dining experience! Be ready for children running back and forth from their tables to the hula lesson demonstration and to the coconut races. Be ready for almost constant interruptions from servers and assistant servers (bringing grilled meat or asking if you want more grilled meat). This is not the place for a romantic evening or for a restful meal!

Now, despite those annoyances, we continue to eat at 'Ohana for one simple reason: The food is always very good. We have learned not to eat much on "'Ohana day" because the quantity of food is actually rather astonishing: bread, salad, dumplings, chicken wings, broccoli, grilled steak, grilled shrimp, grilled chicken, grilled pork, and banana caramel bread pudding. However, I'm not necessarily of the "more is better" persuasion. I would prefer smaller quanitities of good food than massive amounts of mediocre fare; at 'Ohana, though, there is an abundance of riches: good food--and lots of it.

In fact, while I find the food to be delicious, one of my complaints is that there's simply too much of it. I don't mind the numerous courses; it's the serving size that I object to. My dining companion this trip was my teenaged daughter, and there's simply no way that two women could eat an entire family-sized bowl of salad, a dozen or more dumplings, a dozen or more wings, etc. I wish that the servers would bring out smaller portions (or adjust the portions based on the party size) and then allow guests to ask for seconds, if necessary. I always feel somewhat guilty about the uneaten food; the enormous portions seem wasteful. I also wish that guests were allowed to complete one course before the server arrives with the next one. We always feel very rushed through our dinner.

The young man who seated us was very friendly and talkative. Our server and assistant server were attentive. Our food was good, and we enjoyed our meal. The banana caramel bread pudding is wonderful I just wish that we could have taken a bit more time to enjoy it!

Pros: Fun Participation for Kids; Bread Pudding
Cons: Food and Service

O'Hana used to be one of our "must do's" at WDW. My husband always asked for a dinner reservation each trip due to the (in the past) amazing treatment for those that have a Gluten allergy. I used to love it due to the service and willingness to work with our family.

Our last trip though was our final dining there. The service was horrible. My husband's food was worse. We almost walked out it was so bad. We didn't get half our meal. When we asked, the waiter just huffed off. The food was cold. The meat was dry and over cooked. One word - diseaster.

There was also some very disturbing restuarant no-no's. I saw one of the waiters drop the bowl that is used at the bottom of the skewers on the floor simply pick it up and continue to use it.

I don't know if they have had a management/head chef change but they need to take a serious look at O'Hana.

Pros: View of the castle, wonderful food, fun atmosphere
Cons: Feels rushed

This is really an amazing experience! The food is so yummy and we had a breath taking view of the castle. There is so much food and it comes out rather quickly so it seems overwhelming. I could eat those noodles all day long though!!!

Pros: got to watch the fireworks with the music piped in.
Cons: everything else

I am only giving this a 2 b/c the fireworks were nice and the waitress was trying her her best. We waited over an hour and a half before getting seated after our reservation time. We arrived an hour before reservation. Once in the dining room, it was so busy and understaffed that our waitress was trying to do drinks and bring food out and skewers at the same time. I felt really bad for her. The food was ok. Nothing great. Most of it was cold due to the waitress having to do everything. I have had way better at Texas de Brazil. If we had not been on the dining plan, I probably would have just walked out. This place was so hyped up and I was looking so forward to it. Very big let down.

Pros: Food, Atmosphere & Service
Cons: None

We ate here on May 29th. This was by far the best food we've had in Disney World. We had excellent service from our waitress and the food was brought to our table quickly. They were also very good about coming back very regularly to our table to bring more meat. We loved all of the food.
My son really enjoyed the activities that the children can participate in during the meal.

Pros: Awesome food, great service!
Cons: Entertainment for children was over the top...

This place is for the hungry. So much food it was unbelievable. The skewers with meat just kept coming. All the "cousins" were nice and very attentive. The "entertainment" for the kids was quite overbearing and our table was right in front of them and they bumped into us quite a bit. May be a good idea to seat a couple at a table closer to the window and seat the families near the action.

Pros: Lots of food
Cons:

This was one of my first reservations I made for our trip as soon as we found out we were going to Disney. On our first night at Disney, we decided to eat at Ohana. We showed up very hungry and left stuffed. Of all the table services, it had the best food and service. Our waiters were awesome! We will eat at Ohana in our future visits.

Pros: The shrimp, great fun for the kids, limited fireworks view
Cons: Very Loud!

My family and I love 'Ohana, we make a point to go everytime we visit WDW. But, oh, the noise! The kids love doing the coconut races and such, but really, do they need to broadcast the lady speaking through the speakers? Oh our latest trip to 'Ohana 5/17/11, the food was delicious, the waiter was great, but I had a headache after leaving. My advice, don't ask for the main dining room! Yes, you can see a little bit of the fireworks and watch the meat being grilled, but we had a speaker right by our table and I had a headache when I left! Ask for a quieter table and enjoy the delicious food there. Our favorite part is the jumbo shrimp, they are divine! My husband also loves the fact that they bring the food to your table instead of you having to get up and get it. We will continue to visit 'Ohana each trip, but next time, I'm bringing some headache medicine with me!

Pros: variety of food choices
Cons: not being seated in the main room

We arrived on time for our ADR and were seated about 20 minutes after that time. We unfortunately were not seated in the main dining room and we had 3 kids for which I was hoping would enjoy the games. We did not really know what was going on. I would strongly suggest that if you want to be included in the kids games that you request this seating at the time you check-in with the hostess. We asked when we were getting seated and they said it would be at least another 20 minute wait as we would be put back at the end of the line again. We opted to not do that as we were all hungry.

Food was all excellent. It did seem to come out fast and furious and we were kinda unsure of what was going on and we felt rushed. We ended up with so many dishes on the table that it was hard to manuever things. I am sure it's hard for the servers to find the best pace because some guests don't mind things slow and others want things fast. Hard to please everyone. My advice is to savor what comes and don't feel rushed. All things that were brought our were very tasty. I tried to save room for the meat and did not eat alot of bread, salad or veggies. Dessert was awesome.
