We arrived almost an hour early. We weren't sure how long it would take plus we wanted to walk around. The staff was wonderful they seated us immediately. Our waitress was Kelsey, she took her time with us explained the specials and gave us her recommendations. I had the chicken, my husband had seafood pasta, daughter had Jamaican chicken sandwich with homemade chips, my youngest had the kids grilled chicken meal. She brought out warm bread to start that was excellent. If you like sweet tea, we highly recommend it Our meals were wonderful, everything was great. The banana bread pudding is mouth watering. We were stuffed from our meal but couldn't stop eating the bread pudding. This restaurant is a must for our next trip.

Came to Olivia's on 12/5/12 for a 7:30 dinner. This was the best dinner of the entire trip and we ate at some very popular, highly rated places. Our server, so upset I can't remember his name, was remarkable! My 10 month old fell asleep on me so when he came to the table he whispered as to not wake her up. Also, they ring this loud bell every so often to celebrate some occastion in the restaurant (3 times while we were there). The bell was right near our table and each server who rang it did it every so gently as not to wake the baby. For those with a small child at the end of day know how thankful I was!
The atmosphere was lovely, very calm and family oriented. Loved the pictures of families everywhere.
Now to the food...it was amazing! 7 of the 8 in our party had the filet and it cut like butter and melted in our mouths! I can't say how fabulous our meal was! Not one person in our group of 8 was unhappy which says a lot!
When it came time for desserts the kids were "done" and we just wanted to go back to our room however we were on the dining plan and got dessert included. Our server was very sweet to pack everything up in to go containers so we could eat them at the room later on. I must say thier Key Lime pie is the best any of us have ever had!
I am pretty sure that even though I don't plan to stay at OKW on our next visit I will still make a special trip to Olivia's, one of WDW true hidden gems!

My DH and I dined here on our trip in November on the dining plan. This was once my DH's favorite restaurant at Disney, but unfortunately, it isn't any longer.
When we ate here back in April, we fell is love with this quaint little restaurant with pictures of DVC members and their families adorning the walls, and we were really excited to return on our most recent trip. We were very disappointed.
I ordered the shrimp and grits. I was seriously craving this meal because it was so delicious the last time I'd eaten it. The chef must have had an off day because the sauce was so salty that I just couldn't eat it. The shrimp were good and so were the grits, but the sauce was awful! I'm not a picky eater; I really did try to eat it, but after a few bites, I just couldn't. Our waitress was very nice, and she brought me out the seafood pasta to try. That dish was just the opposite of the shrimp and grits -- it had zero flavor. I ate the shrimp, scallops, and fish out of it, and I left the pasta. I was highly disappointed. My DH was finished eating before I ever got the second entree; the meal ended up lasting a little over 2 hours.
DH was also unimpressed this time. He ordered the NY strip steak with mac and cheese. He said the steak was flavorless, overdone (he ordered it medium), and a poor cut of meat, and the mac and cheese had no flavor. He is an extremely picky eater, so he tries to play it safe and always goes with steaks and potatoes or mac and cheese. This was the only table service meal on our trip that he didn't enjoy.
We both had the banana bread pudding, and it was delicious! That was the only thing we enjoyed.
I'm really hoping that the chef was just having a bad day, but I think it will be a while before we return to this restaurant. It's worth trying at least once because of the atmosphere.

We dined here for supper 3 times during our recent stay. Oldest son (12) fell in love with the pork chop with a double order of mac & cheese. After the first time he tried this, the server would hand him a menu and he would hand it back! He hounded me until I asked them to please email me the recipe for the jerk bbq sauce and is convinced we will be having that sauce on everything from ribs to chicken at home. My wife tried the shrimp and grits and really liked it. I had the steak one of the nights and they let me substitute one of my sides, which was very nice. Our 2 youngest children were happy with cheese pizza meals every time.
We did allow our oldest daughter to order the pork chop on our last night and paid out of pocket for the meal. She cleaned her plate and had said earlier in the day she was really tired of chicken nuggets, cheese pizza, etc., from the children’s menu.
Cant wait for our return “home”!!

My husband and I ate here for the second time back in July. The food and service were excellent! If you like conch fritters, I highly suggest trying them at Olivia's. They won't disappoint.
This restaurant is such a hidden trerasure. I don't understand why it doesn't get much notice...

It doesn't matter where we stay at on our Annual trip to WDW(Boardwalk this time), we have to book one dinner at Olivia's. We have never had a bad meal here, and the service is great. This time my wife had the Conch Chowder, and the Sea Scallops, and I had the Strip Steak Medium Rare with my favorite-Olivia's Potatoes. Needless to say we were not disappointed, Great Stuff---DanDVC92

Dined here on our first date for lunch 4/28/12. It was excellent. I had the members special which was a chicken dish cooked to perfection. We finished with banana bread pudding the best I have ever tasted. Server Theresa was really helpful.

My family of five dined at Olivia's tonight to make it easier for my elderly parents who came to visit us while we were here. The basic complaint is that three of us had steak that was so fatty and full of gristle that it could not be chewed. Our server sent over a manager when I sent my meal back and the manager said she could not comp the meals and thatu they have no control over the meat. She said that if we wanted to return to Olivia's for another meal, let her know and she would make sure we were taken care of. Why would we return? There is nothing more unappetizing than having to discreetly remove meat from your mouth in a restaurant because you cannot chew it.

took quite a while to get there via bus

We were tired of the big name (popular) restaurants and chaos. We decided to try something away from the parks and big hotels, this was a perfect fit. No advance reservation and we were seated immediately. This a nice smaller eating place that is away from the hustle and busy-ness of the all the other places. I had a wonderful Prime Rib steak with a fantastic side dish of potatoes. The wife had a seafood pasta dish that was way past the amount she could finish. The bread pudding dessert was overabundant and melt in your mouth good! Highly recommended for an adult quiet dinner that you don't have to feel rushed to enjoy. Like I said above, the only downfall was that we took a bus from Magic Kingdom to get here and it seemed like we were on the bus for at least 30 minutes. When you've been spoiled staying at Bay Lake Tower and 5 minutes from Magic Kingdom, 30 minutes IS a long time! lol

I have to start off by saying that I have food allergies, so eating out can be a frustrating experience. Eating at Olivia's was a very pleasant and hassle free.
I arrived around 6:30 p.m. without a reservation and was seated right away. When my server came to my table, I told him about my food allergies and he immediately sent the chef out to my table.
I ended up ordering the pan seared salmon on the waiter's suggestion and it was absolutely delicious. I also wanted to order a side of potatoes, but I couldn't have any of the potatoes on the menu as is, so the chef made me a side of roasted potatoes which were also delicious.Prior to my meal, the chef brought me out a plate of gluten free, dairy free dinner rolls and olive oil & spices for dipping. It was a very nice surprise.
The biggest treat of the entire meal was the flourless chocolate cake that I had for dessert. I couldn't remember the last time that I was able to enjoy a piece of cake and it was a great ending to a great meal! I can't say enough good things about my meal at Olivia's and I highly recommend giving it a try!

I arrived at Old Key West around 12pm today (1/10). I had an ADR for Olivia's at 2pm, but decided to see if I could get in earlier. It was not a problem and I was seated right away. My server was nice, but disappeared for a bit and admitted to chatting in the back.
I ordered the traditional turkey club with a side of honey lime fruit salad. The sandwich was just a normal sandwich. The fruit salad just seemed to be tiny diced pieces of cantaloupe and honeydew melon.
For dessert I chose the Key Lime Tart. I was expecting either a small tart, or a slice of pie. What came to me was a giant graham cracker crumb cylinder with the key lime in the middle and meringue on top. The filling and crust were excellent but I didn't care for the meringue.
Olivia's didn't wow me but it got the job done, at a relatively inexpensive price. I was in and out within about 30-45 minutes.

Today we ventured off in search of a casual and leisure lunch before hitting the parks and that's
precisely what we found at Oliva's Cafe in Disney's Old Key West Resort.
The resort is themed after Florida's Key West. A pastel color theme and waterfront buildings add to the resorts relaxing and airy ambiance.
In the time it took us to stroll the property and poke in the gift shops we had built up a hearty appetite and decided it was definitely time for lunch! The inside of Olivia's Cafe resembled a typical Floridan lunch joint, family pictures from Disney vacations cluttered one wall while on the other side water themed decorations were hung, adding to the very homey and hospitable theme of the restaurant.
Olivia's Cafe also offers outdoor seating which overlooks the water, we opted for the outdoor seating seeing as it was such a beautiful Florida day (plus there was the added bonus of people watching, a favorite activity of mine).
Before we even had time to glance at the menu the chef appeared at our table (talk about impeccable service). I gave him my standard spiel, (I was the one with an allergy, I had a dairy allergy but that didn't really matter because I was also a vegan so naturally I don't eat dairy products anyways).
I told him I did notice there was a vegetarian pasta dish on the menu (it came with a cream based garlic sauce which meant it wasn't vegan) but I thought pasta would be a little heavy for lunch (especially because after lunch I planned on going on tower of terror, not the ideal ride to go with a full stomach). This didn't seem to phase him, instead he suggested making me a vegetable sandwich he also volunteered making me a side salad in place of the fries, I was quite happy with his suggestion and graciously agreed.
The chef also appeared to hand deliver his delicious fresh vegetable sandwich to me (by far one of the most accommodating and attentive chefs I've ever had an encounter with). This sandwich was amazing, thinly sliced and sauteed zucchini, roasted red and yellow peppers and balsamic onions were piled high and topped with a fresh pepper and basil spread served on toasted multigrain bread. Talk about a flavorful vegetable sandwich.
The sandwich was also accompanied by a delicious and crisp mixed green salad which contained buttery avocado, sweet tangerines, chopped cucumber, and cherry tomatoes with a light citrus vinaigrette drizzled on top.
This delicious and flavorful meal hit the spot!
My Mom decided to go with the soup and salad duo, like me she also enjoyed the mixed green salad, she especially enjoyed the light citrus vinaigrette and commented on it's slight sweetness. She also had the vegetarian made corn chowder which was a cream based soup made with sweet corn and potato, she observed that although it was a cream base soup it was quite light, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
For days my Aunt had been craving and today she decided to finally satisfy that craving my ordering the crab cake appetizer for lunch. The two lightly fried crab cakes came paired with a key-lime mustard and a papaya- ginger sauce, she noted that the combination of the mild and light mustard and the sweet papaya dish paired excellently with the crab cake.
My Uncle ordered the Roast Beef and Blue Cheese sandwich which came stacked with balsamic marinated onions, creamy horseradish, and field green served on a fresh ciabatta roll also served with a side of crispy house made kettle chips, judging from his cleaned plate, he was quite satisfied with the meal
During the course of our meal the Chef appeared a third time to check in and make sure we were enjoying our meal, I simply showed him my cleaned plate and thanked for taking the time to create such a delicious sandwich for me. He also inquired about dessert and volunteered some vegan options, However, at this point I was far too stuffed (although I mainly turned down dessert because I was still planning on riding tower of terror otherwise I probably definitely would have taken him up on his offer, after all I'm not a girl known for saying no to dessert)!
Another delicious lunch and another great restaurant find! Olivia's Cafe is open for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, the restaurant is typically known for their American fare served with a slight southern flair. Dishes are priced between $14.99 and $35.99. I definitely would recommend this restaurant, the warm and hospitable employees and the delicious southern influenced comfort food makes for it the ideal place to go for a relaxing and casual meal!

DH and I had dinner here one night as we have always wanted to try it. We got the conch fritters for an appetizer and DH had a salad before our main meals. I had the pork chop and DH had the steak. The pork chop was good. DH's steak was way undercooked. He ordered it well-done and it came out so bloody that I wouldn't have even touched it. Waitress attempted to send it back but DH refused (didn't want to cause any problems). They ended up comping the appetizer and salad without being asked to do so. Overall, we were happy with the meal but not sure if it is a "must do".

We were on the dining plan and ate at 5 different restaurants during our Sept. stay. I have to say that Olivia's was our favorite meal. My family arrived before I did and ate at 5pm. No wait for their reservation, attentive waitress, and everyone loved their meals (steak, pasta, pork chops). I went into the restaurant about 7:30 with no reservation and was seated immediately. I had the tomato and mozarella salad, which was wonderful. My entree was the shrimp and grits. I loved it. The pineapple bread is too good and it would be easy to fill up on it before the meal even arrives. I have never been disappointed at Olivia's. We eat here even if we aren't staying at OKW. I give it a 10 because they deserve it and it was my favorite meal this trip.

9/4, my family had 1 more sit down meal on the dining plan, we left PO Riverside and said we would eat at the first place we saw, luckily it was Olivia's Cafe. The waitress told us it is Disney's best kept secret and she was correct. the coconut pineapple bread was wonderful! Great service ,relaxing, great food!
