I have eaten here 4 times in as many years. I have never been disappointed. This time it was just myself and my DD17. I had the pumpkin ravioli and my daughter had the spaghetti with tomato sauce. We were very pleased with both dishes. Service was very prompt and friendly.

Visited this restaurant as a party of 7 on 18th April. We were 20 mins early for our reservation time, but we were seated straight away as the restaurant was pretty empty. This was our 4th visit to this restaurant, the first two were great, however the last two visits were poor. Six of our party ordered the Steak Frites from the entree menu, all of them ordered medium well. When the steaks came five of our party said that the steaks were way overlooked and didn't,t taste like steak at all. I have had flat iron steak many times and this piece of meat tasted like liver and was not like any other steak I have had before. The arugula salad that came with the steak was that sour that none of the six people that had it could eat it. I asked the server if the arugula was supposed to be that sour and he said that it was and that he didn't like it himself! Surely if diners cannot tolerate the sourness of this salad then it should be changed. The desserts were fine, however as my DH is diabetic he asked our server if they had anything that he could have that was sugar free and our server flatly replied No. Other restaurants in Disney have been extremely accommodating and have gone out of their way to provide something for my DH, but not Wolfgang Puck,s. This will be one restaurant that I will never go back to again.

A bit pricey and food not as good as Wolfgang Puck Express
|
|
We normally eat at Wolfgang Puck Express (our favorite counter-service place in WDW) which is on the opposite side of Downtown Disney all the way over at the end of the Marketplace. However, we had gotten as a gift a $50.00 gift card and were on the West Side of Downtown Disney and there was no line so we decided to eat here instead. Bread was good and I ordered a pizza which was good but not nearly as good as Wolfgang Puck Express which has different pizza options I like better. Also, the other food options at Wolfgang Puck Express are different as well and I like them better. So while this is not a bad option, I recommend eating at Wolfgang Puck Express in the Market Place instead.

On our last visit we were surprised to find this restaurant so empty.I am talking tables, high tops, and Sushi bar. Soon found out why.
We started with dry rolls which they could not find butter for, next was a proscuito and fresh mozzarella appet. followed by Beet and goat cheese salad.
The proscuito had not been trimmed properly and loaded with rind.
After this, our salad arrived looking just as though it were thrown together.Tasteless with very little goat cheese.
The manager offered us some kind of compensation but we opted to contact corporate to express our views and see what they had to say. Basically sorry, no offer from them yet.
We knew it was run by a different company as soon as we entered and we must say not for the better.

I'm somewhat shocked at the rather low rating this place has. Our server was absolutely fantastic regarding allergies, menu selections and just an all around great guy.
My girlfriend and I both had the Pennette Chicken Alfredo and it was fantastic. First of all - it is huge. We could have easily shared one. The pasta was cooked perfectly and there was tonnes of chicken and bacon in it. It was piping hot.
We also had the free rosemary bread and parmesan flatbread - both of which were very very good and went well with the pasta.
Reluctant to order dessert because of my peanut/nut allergies, I was pleasantly surprised that a large portion of the dessert menu could be accommodated to my needs. I ended up having the key lime pie which was more like a large tart (not a physical slice of pie - the dessert I had was round). Nevertheless it was very very tasty - I'll definitely get it again. My girlfriend opted to have the carrot cake and said it was almost too rich but still very good and had tonnes of cream cheese icing. She also said it tasted a bit too "gingery" - maybe made with too much spice. Both desserts are huge portions.
We will definitely return again for dinner.

Not too busy and server was good, but wait for food was long. Was told that an large order had been placed for others, server checked on food and finally brought it but it was lukewarm so had obviously been sitting. Warmer fries were brought when this was pointed out. Pumpkin ravioli wasn't bad. I doubt I will go back here anytime soon.

No more macademia crusted chicken

This is my third visit here and I have never been disappointed. Had dinner with a group of 7 adults and 5 teenagers. Our reservations did not include the kids; but the hostess said it would be no problem to add them on which we appreciated. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, although I was disappointed to see the macademia chicken was no longer offered (a corporate decision, according to our server). I did get to taste the pumpkin ravioli which was delicious! I will definitely want to go back to get that! Server was very attentive and it was no problem getting 6 separate checks! One of the best restaurants on Disney property!

After being up since 2am that morning for our flight down to WDW, we were concerned that our travels were going way too smoothly...and then we used our Dining Plan credits at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe....
We arrived an hour early and they were able to seat us with no trouble, which, of course was under air conditioning ducts on a 40 degree evening, and they could not move us to another table because they were for "larger parties about to be seated" per the hostess. Wishing for our parkas, we ordered coffee.
Our waitress was very attentive, however our meal was not so hot. I ordered a salmon entree and although the fish was cooked nicely, the presentation was so-so and the potatoes it came with were cold and they served it with a cup of tartar sauce (blegh!). My brother's meal was a special, but came out a cold pile of mashed potatoes with a giant piece of fish thrown on top of it- not what was described by the waitress. We ended up getting out desserts to go, which were great.
If we were to go back, we'd probably order sushi or the flat breads, which seemed to be the hot items people were ordering around us.

Not Disney Owned so Service May be different

Tonight we decided to enjoy dinner in the trendy Downtown Disney Area surrounded by unique shops, live music, and crowds of diverse people. We selected the Wolfgang Puck Café a casual style restaurant offering American fare with a slight European influence, the restaurant also features a sushi bar which serves traditional sushi with a modern flair, making for quite the interesting combination.
The large restaurant was uniquely decorated with bright colors and vibrant shaped patterns which covered the walls setting a hip and fun mood throughout the restaurant. The large open kitchen located in the middle of the restaurant featured a talented chef and kitchen line that hurriedly bustled around the kitchen mixing together ingredients and preparing meals for all to view (luckily our booth was only about 15 feet from the kitchen, giving us the perfect view of everything going on).
We sat down in a spacious booth and reviewed the extensive menu. I did notice there were several vegetarian entrees such as a butternut squash soup, several entrée sized salads, a plethora of pasta dishes, a vegetable flatbread pizza, and several Japanese inspired side dishes. Although many of the vegetarian entrees were prepared using some type of dairy product, the menu did offer was a small selection of vegetarian options which contained no animal products what so ever, which was perfect for my vegan dinner.
I decided to order the Vegetarian sushi roll with a side seaweed salad. The vegetarian sushi roll was made with cucumber, asparagus, avocado, red pepper, and sesame seeds. The sushi roll came with 8 good sized pieces and had a delicious fresh taste.
I then moved on to the cold sesame seaweed salad which I thoroughly enjoyed, the delicious side dish had a slight toasted sesame oil flavoring to it which deliciously complimented the thin noodle like seaweed. Definitely a side dish I would recommend.
My mom selected the Ricotta Cheese Ravioli severed with broccolini, sauasage and toasted pine nuts served with a velvety cream sauce. She loved her dish. The ravioli was cooked al dente and the fresh ricotta cheese paired with the rich creamy sauce was heavenly.
Warm, fresh baked, onion and garlic foccacia bread was also served along with our meal, the thick soft bread was delicious (I probably could have made a meal on the bread alone). Though bread didn’t exactly go with the theme of my Japanese meal I still couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try some, it’s bread after all (anyways it's important I try everything, it's research for my blog!)
All in all we had a very enjoyable meal at Wolfgang Puck. The portion sizes were perfect for an individual meal (which is always preferred because it doesn’t encourage overeating). Prices ranged from $14.99-$35.99 which was a fair amount for this delicious and casual restaurant. Definitely a great restaurant to visit if you’re in the Downtown Disney area.

11 of us -- five kids, six adults -- packed into Wolfgang Puck Cafe on 12 November 2011 for dinner. Everyone seemed very pleased with the food they received, and the staff was more than accommodating to all of us. Appetizers and dessert were skipped by most everyone.
I ordered the signature butternut squash soup. Good, but a little too one note with the sweetness on this night. There wasn't as much of the red pepper sauce to balance (I didn't ask for extra) a typically sweet dish. I also seem to remember roasted pumpkin seeds with this dish(?). Perhaps I'm wrong on that.
For dinner I ordered the pumpkin ravioli with sage butter sauce. Flavor was very, very good. The pasta was a little too thick and chewy however. A thinner dough would have blended the sauce with the filling much better.
All in all, everyone was very satisfied. The price for the food one gets is terrific value for Disney, so if you're in a large group -- particularly without a reservation in advance (what are you thinking?!?!? LOL.) -- this is a great option.

Our reservations were for later in the evening, but the were kind and took us early since we were so tired. The food was better then I thought it would be. I had a pasta dish, which was yummy and my husband had the sushi, which was good, but nothing special. It was a good place to eat downtown, nothing special, but will try another restaurant next time we are down there.

Owned by Levy foods - NOT Puck

I was there when it opened and the quality was excellent when owned by W. Puck. All chefs were hand picked for perfection. TVs (even in the restrooms) showed all the live kitchen activities; your food prepared as seen on TV!
It was purchased by Levy (owner of ball park vendors) years ago, and all of a sudden the priced went up at the same time as the quality went down. The cameras were removed, and the restrooms started to stink. It is now expensive cheap food and toilets, just like being in a ball park.
I won't eat there anymore unless it's a quick pizza on the patio.

We have always looked forward to eating here on our trips to WDW but we were disappointed this visit.
Had an ADR but waited about 20 mins even though restaurant did not seem that busy, also at one point there were 8 staff standing around the check in desk seeming to not know what they were doing.
Place was pretty noisy and food not that great, I had the smoked salmon pizza as I love smoked salmon but the pizza was piled with it and I found it too much.
My Mum had the macademia nut chicken which she enjoyed but we both hated the cheesecake mousse she had and found the key lime pie rather stodgy.
Not the best meal we have had here and I will think twice about coming back, very disappointed.

We had dined here 2 1/2 yrs. ago and were pleased to come back. The menu is about the same. I loved the pumpkin ravioli; DH had the steak. DS 12 and 9 liked their choices on the kids' menu.
Our server was excellent in recommending menu choices, quick to refresh our drinks and remove dirty plates (a real pet peeve of mine), and made our visit enjoyable.
If you aren't in the mood for noise, avoid this place, as the open concept decor will amplify children's screams. Overall, this remains a favorite for us.

We ate lunch here in August and were on the deluxe dining plan. Not a plush restaurant more a laid back cafe style. If you have a sweet tooth I would recommend the pumpkin ravioli for your entree - gorgeous, rich and flavoursome.
Friendly service with a wide choice of restaurant standard fare. Would definitely recommend if you are on the dining plan, maybe a bit pricey if not.
