Pros: Great food, great fun, nice entertaining sit down for kids and adults
Cons:

Party of three, DH, DS6, and myself, were seated with another party of 3 and a couple. We had a nice friendly table. Food was excellent. Our table was given a sample tasting of the seaweed salad, which was very good, but having tasted it, I wanted to try something new. Our party got 3 appetizers, so DH and I had the soup, which was very good, and ordered the soy beans for DS, which we all ate, which were excellent.

DH and I both ordered the steak and shrimp combo, DS ordered chicken. It was all excellent. Our plates were kept on the cooking surface until we moved them ourselves, so our food stayed plenty warm. I kept eating the soy beans and so I didn't dig in right away, and my food was still very warm.

DH had the ginger cake, which was very light cake in multiple layers with fluffy frosting between, and very good. DS had a sundae, no complaints there. I was getting so full, I ordered the pineapple, which was fresh, juicy and served beautifully.

Oh. We also enjoyed some cocktails. DH had the Samaria (?) which was plum wine, vodka, and lime juice. It was really, really good. I had the Saki Rita, which was good, but I liked DHs drink better.

Wait staff was right on target and very attentive.

Following another posters advice. We booked for 7:00 pm to coordinate with Illuminations. We checked in at 6:50, were seated within 5 minutes. Our table was chatty, so we weren't finished until 10 minutes before Illuminations was scheduled to start. Viewing was good for Illuminations. My only complaint was that from the left side of balcony the big arch at the lagoon side blocked a part our view of the globe during the show. Fireworks viewing was unobstructed. You want to be on the right side of the balcony (as you face the lagoon) for the best viewing spot.

I highly recommend. Get an ADR. One party of 2 was told they could wait one hour or so, and bigger parties were being turned away.

Pros: Food
Cons: Service

We dined here last week. The food was great but the service was below average. We had steak and shrimp and filet. Both were really good. The salads were ok. The Edamame was a wonderful appetizer (like boiled peanuts.) The desserts of ice cream and ginger cake were good. Three of us had ice cream and one had ginger cake. The chef was very entertaining, but the wait staff who provided drinks was very slow. We waited for almost 10 min for dessert. We didn't even see our server.

Pros: food was yummy
Cons: no fried rice

We ate here on 2-15-07 after finding out it was still open after hearing it was gonna be closed. We were supoosed to have dinner at MGM that night at Mama Melrose. I had the shrimp and DH had the steak. We were on the DP and it was a good meal. The only thing I didn't like is that they don't fry the rice. They gave us a little treat after our meal, a ginger cake that was very yummy. We were there for our honeymoon. I give this a nine only because of the rice. Our server was very cute and sweet. This place is a must when you go to the world. Very different from the places on the outside of the world.

Pros: food, atmosphere
Cons: no one offered drink refills. chefs not always on point

We couldn't get into Le Cellier so we tried this place. Went for Tepenyaki. Seated with good people (some had wild kids). Took a little longer to get asked about drinks than I would have liked. Once waitress got there things happened pretty fast. Wife and I ordered Seto (shrimp and scallops)which was very good. Waitress brought out small saucers of Kaito or spicy seaweed which tasted good. Cook missed a couple of moves with the knife and spatula. Still he was pretty funny. Guess everyone gets the volcano(you know if you've ever been there). Food cooked fast and served. Somehow it seems that food cooked this way though cools fast once it hits your plate. Scallops very good, shrimp a close second. No one ever asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. Other than that, it was worth it.

Pros:
Cons:

We dined here 01/14/07 with ADR for 6:15. Our party consisted of husband, wife, 7-year-old, 3-year-old, 6-month-old, MIL and SIL. This has been one of our favorite visits since my first visit (2002).

We arrived at around 5:45 and of course the long lines of people trying to get a table were there. We can see where Teppanyaki is going to follow behind Le Cellier for reservations; there were a ton of people coming up wanting to get in at the last minute and being turned away.

We asked for an infant seat and were told they did have one,,,, BIG bonus, but when we sat they had nothing but a highchair. My wife, MIL, SIL, and I ended up holding the baby till we were done eating.

Food was awesome, like normal! Our 7-year-old ordered shrimp from the children’s menu, which I thought, would be a mistake but he ate ever bite plus part of my steak and scallops. Our 3-year-old loves lettuce and was more than happy with the salad with the ginger dressing (love it, and would love to be able to make it at home). Our chef was great with the kids, keeping their attention while cooking along with great conversation with the adults. I ended up being the glutton eating left over chicken and bean sprouts, but what a wonderful full it was! I tried the green tea ice cream, to be different from everyone else, and was amazed how light and refreshing it was.

I asked our chef about the rehab scheduled to start the next day and she said it had been rescheduled for later this year. It was kind of a downer for her since she had plans to return to Japan, but my comment of being able to stay at the “happiest place in the world” brought a huge smile to her face that made me happy I brought it up.

Well worth the visit and a great place to dine with family, just wish all of he Disney restaurants would have infant seats for families visiting.

Bottom line, great place to eat with great food and atmosphere, will ALWAYS return!!

Pros: Never been able to finish the whole meal
Cons: Usually crowded

I am a huge fan of this restaraunt for a number of reasons. I have yet to have a bad meal, the location in World Showcase is prime for illuminations and I have never been able to finish the entire meal and as a 6'1" 250 pounder, that is really saying something.

I ordered the filet with a said of shrimp and had a salad for an appetiser. The meal is cooked to your liking and each chef puts on an idividualized show. Our chef for this dinner dropped the pepper shaker while trying to flip it from one had to the other and promptly informed us that the wind had blown it on him. It was cute and got a good response from the table.

After many trips to Disney, I have the following recommendation for enjoying dinner and the show; Make your reservation for 7:00pm. Dinner takes approximately an hour and a half. At 8:30 got out to the balcony outside of the restaraunt. The corner of the balcony overlooks the walkway around world showcase and offers a great view of the lake and illuminations. If you get there after 8:40, it is usually all filled up. If you get there at 8:30, one person can hold the viewing spot on the balcony and the rest of our party walks over to Morocco and gets a beverage for the show. By the way, Morocco offers the cheapest price for domestic beer in all of Walt Disney World. A Bud Light is $3.75.

Pros: Lots of food
Cons: Small waiting area

We ate here for dinner on 12/27/06. This is our regular stop during our trips to WDW. It was great as usual. The garden salad was nice, and I enjoyed the bite of the ginger dressing. I had the Fujiyama (steak and shrimp), DMom had the Tonosama (steak and chicken), and DSis had the Hatamoto (chicken and shrimp). All were great. The steaks were prepared as requested with little fat on them (the chef cut it off in front of us, which I appreciated). The chicken was good and the shrimp was flavorful and tender. The vegetables were delicious as usual, and the bean sprouts crisp. We enjoyed vanilla and orange sherbet ice cream for dessert. We loved it and will be back again in June. Smile

Pros: Good food! Love Japanese style restaurants!
Cons: Male host and no windows to view the fireworks!

My family visited Disney World (2 boys 8 & 10, 2 year old girl, my husband and I) the week of Christmas Dec 24 - Jan 1 and I made reservations about 5 months in advance for New Years Eve! We had 7:20 reservations, we showed us about 6:30 (knowing we were early - but decided just to go ahead and get our name in) we were not seated until 7:55 or so! The lady at the reservations counter did warn me though when we got there that even the reservations were running 15 to 20 minuits behind due to the New Year's Eve crowd! The fireworks started at 7:30 and we were excited that we were going to see them from this tall restaurant (thinking we were going to have a front row view!) WRONG! When you get inside - the rooms for the Japanese style (cooking in front of you) grills are in rooms with NO windows meaning we missed the fireworks!

We we were seated and a man came out and got our drink order (he wasn't too friendly - we thought well this is just how he speaks to people and didn't think anything about it) then he brought out the hot towels to wash our hands with before we ate. All 5 of us JUST got out of the restrooms - went to wash our hands before we ate. He stood there and just was looking at us then he said "WE WASH OUR HANDS BEFORE WE EAT!" So instead of arguing with him - we just "took his orders" and he stood there and watched us and then took our towels. It was the funniest thing I had ever seen. I guess that is a ritual to wash your hands with towels at the table - but I thought washing your hands in the bathroom right before you sit down at the table would do.

Oh well, other than that everything was great! The food was wonderful. I ordered the steak and shrimp - there a little skimpy on the shrimp for the price - but it was great. The steak was wonderful too. My son was disappointed that they only had ginger dressing - I explained to him that ranch is a southern thing. Between the 5 of us - we had steak, shrimp, and chicken and everyone was satisfied. My husband loved the steamed rice - he ate mine also. I prefer the fried rice with vegetables cooked on the table - but the way I understand it that isn't in the Japan culture (that is Americanized).

I do recommend this restaurant - just don't bother washing your hands before you sit down, believe me - you will before you can eat!

Pros: Great food, great service, fun presentation - our 3rd time best yet!!!!
Cons: None on this occassion (may not be fun if you don't get on with the other families)

Dinner was at the Teppanyaki Mitsukoshi. We were seated with a very nice family from the Mid West. It was a real hit, enjoyed by all. We enjoyed seaweed and ginger salads, edamame (soya beans – a real hit with the kids). The ladies and kids enjoyed the steak and chicken platter, while dad feasted on the steak and shrimp combo, with beautiful green tea and ice cream. The onion volcanoes were fun, and the juggling skills of our chef were excellent. Dave was very excited as many of the wait staff had previously worked at Tokyo Disneyland and the service was excellent. Then we had a great conversation with the manager who explained that the restaurant will have a grand refurbishment in the New Year. We look forward to seeing the results.

Pros: Wonderful Food and Staff
Cons: None

We had an excellent experience here for lunch on 12/10. We were seated with another family, but didn't really talk to them as my husband, son, and I were having lunch with family that we don't see very often. Our chef was great and so was all of the food. I wish I could have taken home the dipping sauces!

Pros: Everything was delicious
Cons: nothing

The food here is very good. The sushi is great as well. They let us sample the seaweed salad, which I appreciated, because we both didn't order it for an appetizer (the texture threw me off). Our chef was very entertaining. My husband and I had fun, but the family sitting next to us (Mom, Dad and 3 young girls) were very boring, so that was no fun.
I would definately reccomend this place. The filet is very tasty.

Pros: Chefs
Cons: Overpriced and Double booked our reservation

The experience started poorly as the reservation staff had double booked us for an different dining time consequentley we had to wait an hour for a table.
The chefs do a great preformance thou i think it is overpriced for what you actually get.

Pros: the Food and Chefs
Cons: Wating Time

The chefs are so cool here. They make it into a show. Last year he made the onions into a mountain and poured somthing into it to make a valcano.

It is also cool because they cook it infront of you.

Pros: fresh meat and veggies
Cons: most time consuming dinner

We ate here on 10-16-06 for lunch and had a great time. My sons (15yr and 6yr)tried everything and loved the show. The food was GREAT and the sauces were fun to try. For extra Japanese culture, try walking through the department store under the restaraunt after your meal. The kids really enjoyed this!
