Pros: location to boardwalk/parks, easy walk, close to lobby, clean room
Cons: None

My family and I stayed here May 12th-19th and had a wonderful time at the Boardwalk. Two rooms were booked under the same reservation while a third room was booked separately. The front staff was able to get all three rooms together and we did not have to wait (and we even arrived early in the day!)
We were on the ground floor, which usually my mother does not care for, but we were able to walk right out front and make our way to the lobby or the quiet pool.
At the time I was also 14 weeks pregnant and in no mood for walking all day at the parks and then walking another mile to get to our room. The Boardwalk had such a wonderful layout that we were either right onto the boardwalk or down at the lobby within a few minutes.
The only down side I would say is that we never really got to experience the restaurants on the boardwalk because they were all full. The pizza shop and bakery are wonderful, though! The mozzarella sandwich is great with a cool cucumber salad. However, we were not able to get into any of the sit down restaurants. We'll have to keep that in mind for next time Smile

Pros: Room size, location and proximity to parks
Cons: None

The only reason I can't give this property a 10 is because my room - while on the top floor - had a "view" of the front entrance to the hotel that was often loud with car motors, people, trucks, cabs, you name it.

Also, anticipate long waits for the bus to the parks if you're heading to MK, DTD or AK mid-day.

But you can't beat the ability to walk to Epcot and DHS! Definitely a great resort!

Pros: Atmosphere, Cleanliness
Cons: None

Just got back from a trip during marathon weekend. My Wife ran the race and staying at a EPCOT resort was very convenient. She went to sleep early and I enjoyed the boardwalk entertainment. The Resort was using the new RFID keys. Had one issue where the maid threw out some water bottles I had and the front desk without question credited them to my account. Loved it and would stay again.

Pros: atmosphere, service, proximity to epcot and HS
Cons: none

First time stay here and DH and I were very happy with this resort. From the beginning, greeted by a cast member and brought to check in. Only had a standard room but found it sufficient for our needs. I loved grabbing a coffee from the lounge in the am and sitting on the porch. Lots of choices for meals either on boardwalk or resorts nearby. Can see it being limiting to families with children regarding meal options. I'm a fan of Epcot, being able to walk there was great. Polynesian is still our fav resort but would def stay here again!

Pros: Location, Theming
Cons: Cleanliness of room, greeting

This was our 3rd stay at BWI. Our first was 5 years ago, the 2nd, 3 years ago at Club Level. Our current visit was disappointing to say the least. We were not greeted in any way upon arrival, in fact, the only time we were greeted by personnel was when we were leaving the baggage check in area the day we were checking out! Quite unlike our other 2 visits when we were greeted upon arrival off the bus.
We got our requested room location and it was great. However, the room, our entire stay, smelled of damp, warm mustyness even after leaving mousekeeping notes about it. The decor is beginning to show signs of wear-the bathroom could use repainting as could the painted areas of the room itself. There was thick dust on the bed posts on both beds, untouched. The desk area was never wiped off, even after purposefully leaving visible crumbs on it. The refrigerator never really became cold.

Our baggage was unceremonously dumped in our room, almost blocking the door. The other times we've stayed, one piece has been placed on the luggage rack and the others moved away from the door.

We have loved this resort for years but unfortunately, will not be staying here again when we return to the World. We have decided to go back to Yacht Club or move to greener pastures by Polynesian or Grand Floridian.

The wonderful location of this resort is the only reason I can recommend now to stay here.

Pros: room size and location
Cons: bus transportation and no quick service in resort

Just stayed at the Boardwalk Inn from 10/29 to 11/5. This was the first time my family and I have stayed here. We really loved this resort. The rooms were huge and beautifully decorated. We got lucky enough to have a room with a view of Epcot and were able to watch the fireworks from our balcony. The resort was beautiful and the location was fantastic. We enjoyed walking to Epcot whenever we wanted and all of the entertainment around us. The only two draw backs to this resort were the bus transportation and no place inside the resort to fill our mugs up. Being a deluxe resort one would think that you would not have to share a bus line with four or five other resorts. There were times it took us an hour to get to a park or wait for 30 minutes or so to catch a bus. Disney definitely needs to consider the Boardwalk Inn their own bus line. As for the place to refill your mugs it would be nice to have somewhere right inside the resort without having to go out to the pool or one of the places out on the boardwalk. Aside from those two negatives I would definitely stay here again. We really enjoyed our stay at the Boardwalk Inn.

Pros: pretty resort, location
Cons: no quick service

This resort is very pretty and it has a great location if you spend alot of time in Epcot.
Service was fine in all aspects.
Parking can be an issue if there is a convention at the hotel and you are self-parking.
There isnt a quick service food court at the hotel, you have to walk outside on the boardwalk, or the lobby bar for coffee/danish.
Room views other than lake-front are kind of boring.
I would stay again if the price is right!

Pros: close to epcot
Cons: none

Beautiful resort! Have spent the last few trips at Beach Club and I found the Boardwalk Inn to be peaceful and quiet... we will return here on our next visit. Our room was huge and Mousekeeping was great. I did request a room on the first floor and my request was honored. We were a short walk to the lobby and the Boardwalk and right by the quiet pool. Perfect location. The only reason I did not rate the hotel a 10 was because we were 2 doors away from the exit and every time someone went out that door there was a loud, shrill, squeak, which wouldn't have been half bad except it was loud enough to wake us early each morning( on vac. I don't want to get up early) I did call and ask to have someone take a look at it, but it didn't get fixed. That was the only negative out of 9 days staying there.

Pros: Close to Epcot/Hollywood Studios, Boardwalk entertainment, staff
Cons: None

We stayed at the Boardwalk from May 6th to May 16th on our honeymoon. We had selected a standard view and 3 days prior to our arrive we requested a garden view. When we arrived, we were promptly greeted by our name and walked to the check in desk. Check in went very smoothly, they acknowledged our room request, discussed our deluxe dining plan and gave us "Happily Ever After" Pins.We were on the 5th floor above the Belle Vue Lounge. This was a very short walk to the bus stop and the boardwalk. Mousekeeping was great our entire stay, no issues at all. The room was wonderful, very well take care of and very clean. The view we had was of the Eiffel tower at Epcot. We did use the concierge and the front desk throughout our stay, and they were wonderful. I have all great things to say about the Boardwalk Inn!

Pros: Absolutely stunning
Cons: bus service to parks

With a positive aspect like "Absolutely stunning", why am I giving a rating of 5? It's certainly not the beautiful decor and attention to detail, nor the views of Boardwalk and the other hotels in the area. It's not because of the fantastic customer service. And it's not because, at night, this place is just down right romantic!!! It's not because it's a leisurely stroll right to EPCOT and the Studio's. Why then? Because of the bus service. It is beyond atrocious! 5 hotels on 1 bus. Service to AK, MK, and Downtown Disney will take at least 45 minutes 1 way, and that's if you can get on a bus because Boardwalk is the last stop! I really enjoyed Boardwalk, it's amenities, views, activities, but the bus service really and I mean really spoiled it for me. I would go back in a heart beat if they improved that one thing, but as it is now, I would not return to that resort---sigh

Pros: location, location, location
Cons: none

Just returned yesterday from our 1 week stay at the Boardwalk. My husband and I had an adjoining room to my parents on the 5th floor. Despite having a balcony to overlook the main entrance (think Magical Express buses and valet service) we could clearly see the Tower of Terror, the Swan and the Dolphin. The room was beautiful - on par with AKL. Maid service was excellent. The only issue I can even point out in the room was that the frig didn't get very cold.

As far as the location goes, it doesn't get any better. We walked everywhere.

I liked the Boardwalk feel. My father (65 yrs young) got a kick nightly out of the street performers. The bakery was great. The general store was nice (but never any bananas...). And the restaurant selection was diverse. I would recommend a stay here to anyone and would return in heartbeat.

Pros: Location
Cons: no counter service restaurant

Husband and I stayed at the Boardwalk for Marathon Weekend, 1/5 - 1/9/2012. We were met at the door by a CM who checked us right in (we did on-line check in prior to arrival). The hotel itself and the room were beautifully decorated. Room was clean, my only complaint would be that the sofa had some stains, could have used a good steam cleaning. We had a balcony overlooking a court yard, just gorgeous. The room was very bright and sunny.

The short walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios was the best part! Very easy to get to MK too, walk through Epcot, hop the monorail. We did not go to Animal Kingdom.

If you're going to WDW for Marathon Weekend this is a great hotel, I was able to walk out the door, down the boardwalk and cheer my marathon running husband on at mile 24.5, then cut through Epcot, cheer him on at the end, then meet him at the finish.

My sole complaint is there is no counter service restaurant! We're big breakfast people, and my kids (not there for this trip) are huge Mickey waffle fans. There is a bakery on the boardwalk, but it's teeny-tiny, gets crowded and doesn't have the offerings of the traditional Disney counter service restaurants.

I'd definitely go back, though I'd look into Yacht or Beach solely to see if they had a counter service restaurant.

Pros: view, atmosphere, bakery
Cons: TRANSPORTATION

My sister and I stayed at the Boardwalk December 5th-8th. The hotel was beyond gorgeous and the Christmas decorations were lovely. We had a water view room with a balcony which was fantastic! I highly recommend paying the extra for water view. If you're going to do Boardwalk you might as well go all out! Our window looked right across the lake to the Yacht and Beach clubs. The speakers down on the actual boardwalk played Christmas music so it was nice to open our door and listen to the music in the room. Overall the whole setting was really wonderful.

We ate breakfast at Kouzzina and it was by far one of my favorite restaurants! I thought there was a nice selection of places to eat between the restaurants and the carts on the boardwalk, and of course the Boardwalk Bakery made for a nice snack!

One tiny complaint I had was that my bedspread had a few stains on it, but they promptly brought us both new ones when I mentioned it.

The only real draw back I can say I didn't like was the transportation. Epcot was great because you can walk right on over. However, for Animal Kingdom the bus for Boardwalk also shared with Yacht and Beach Club AND Swan and Dolphin. For as much as you pay for a deluxe resort I think having 5 large hotels share one bus was a little extreme. The boat to Hollywood Studios was usually very reliable except when the timing was messed up...then once again you had a long line of people from 5 hotels waiting for one boat. Magic Kingdom wasn't quite as bad because it only shared with Swan and Dolphin this time, but I still feel like it was kind of a lot to deal with for a deluxe resort.

Over all it's a lovely resort and a great experience but if you don't like potentially lengthy transportation routes than I would suggest staying elsewhere.

Pros: Very elegant, Great Pool, Fun Community Hall
Cons: Lack of internal Dining Options (quick or full)

We stayed at the BW Inn from 8/21 to 8/28/2011 and really had a fantastic time. The resort itself is positively gorgeous and very elegant. Our rooms (we had 2 connecting rooms) were very spacious, clean and classically decorated. The housekeeping and staff were wonderful. We were down the hall from the elevators on the 3rd floor, so our walk wasn't too long and we had no outside noise. We had a a balcony that overlooked a garden area and we could see Fireworks at night. We had to stay another night due to Hurricane Irene and the hotel staff was very accommodating and allowed us to stay in our current rooms for the extra night which was great.

Our children (4 and 7) loved the pool. It was really fun and I especially liked that there was a green light at the top of the slide to tell you it was "safe" to go down. They didn't have this at the Contemporary last year and my then 6yo almost got landed on by a large adult. The poolside activities and the Community Hall (with arts and crafts activities) were also a BIG hit with my kids. The BW entertainers were fun at night and we happened to catch a few acts while waiting for the Friendship Boats.

Our favorite part of all staying here was the very convenient walk to Epcot - 5 mins tops. Also, the boats ran frequently and it only took about 3 mins on the boat, which my older parents preferred. We didn't have any issues catching the MK bus either and they seemed to run frequently. We ended up taking a boat to DHS as it was too hot to walk. We had PHs and ended up walking into Epcot almost every night for a quick bite and to see the FW. We loved the back entrance into Epcot and it was never crowded to get in/out.

The only drawback for us staying here is that the hotel has no quick service dining options. We felt like we pushed ourselves to go into Epcot for a quick bite, but would have liked to relax in the room some nights instead. Also, there is no internal table service either. A hotel of this grandeur really should offer both. Sure, the BW is below with lots of dining, but you still have to go outside (it was pouring more than once) and have reservations. The only place we ended up eating at twice with no reservations was Big River City Grill and that was good.

All in all, we would definitely stay here again. My husband really can't wait to go back, but I think I would try Beach Club next time for something new.
