Disney Pic of the Week – Epcot’s Norway

Light Meter by Lisa K. Berton

You know that old Norwegian proverb, We open the same time as Mexico and China. No? Well, it dates back to the 1980’s at Walt Disney World. This week Scott and I will edumacate you on all things Norwegian that we know of from the Norway pavilion at Epcot. For example, I learned that I’m addicted to Kringla Bakeri Og Cafe’s lefse and school bread, 2 items not available at IKEA.

The Stave Church appears to some as a facade but it holds historical information, weapons, and vikings who are really good at holding still for years at a time. Step inside and you’ll discover interesting facts and a good place to wait out tropical storms. I could teach you more “but I’m not one to blow my own vetugenfluken*.”
