The Bridges of Smuggler’s Cove

Light Meter by Lisa K. Berton

Yo ho! Yo ho! A cave-exploring, tree-climber’s life for me. Uhh. What? I don’t know but somewhere somehow Tom Sawyer’s Island in Disneyland was taken over by pirate’s and renamed Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer’s Island. I hope the boy is charging rent.

No, this is not a miniature version. You can sail around the island on the Mark Twain Riverboat or the Sailing Ship Columbia and get great views. Another option is to climb up into the fort and trees for a bird’s eye view.

  1. Gotta say that I enjoyed Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyland better that the one at WDW. I like that it is heavily themed after the Pirates movies & there are a lot more hands on activities to do. What you have taken a photo of here is one of my favourite places. My teens loved the boat with the skeleton in it & I have some great photos of them in the bones cage.
