Magic Kingdom Walk Around

On October 26th, I went to the Magic Kingdom in the morning to see the new Tangled Play and Greet in what used to be Belle’s Fairytale Garden.

I hadn’t been in the Magic Kingdom in a few months so decided to do a walk around the park. Here are some photos from the walk about.

The Magic Kingdom looked great with all the Halloween decorations.

  1. Deb,

Thanks for the update, me & my family are leaving today for our annual trip to Disney. I was disappointed that you were not having a meet & greet while I will be there, but I will meet Jack S. next week for a few minutes while he is visiting Disney with friends, I will try to see you next year. Do you ever have a meet & greet in November?

DEB: The meet and greets are dependent on when members of the AllEars Team are in WDW. Personally, I usually don’t go in November as I am in WDW for the first part of December. Perhaps someday 🙂

  2. Hi Deb,
Thank you for the updates. I am so happy that I’m finally going to get a chance to meet you when you are there on Dec 4th at the Studios!

  3. It feels like forever since I’ve been to the World. I mean I go often, but not into a park. One day I’ll buy the $50 student tickets we have here at UCF.

  4. To the poster who questioned about it’s a small world, a rather large change in the queue configuration was recently completed.

In a nut shell, what used to be the exit to the attraction is now the entrance. You wait in a line to get on the ride that crosses over the river channel and behind the white mural with the clock. This was done to create a longer queue to hold more guests and in addition gives wheelchair customers a shorter ride to the boats as they board through the exit ramp on this attraction. The exit ramp is now where the queue used to be to board.

  5. Deb,
I love looking at pictures of WDW, but especially the Magic Kingdom! We usually visit the World in August, but we are going in December and I can’t wait to see it decorated for Christmas.
I was curious about your pictures of It’s a Small World. I was trying to figure out the reconfiguration. Any reason why it’s been re-done?
Thanks again for posting some great shots!

DEB: Basically the entrance was moved from the right to the far left, next to the stroller parking lot. Other routine, maintenance things were updated as well (not the attraction itself).

  6. Although the rides and other attractions are what pull people in, the walk about to get the sense of place is a big part of the fun. The construction barricades may dilute the magic a bit, but only a little. Thanks for refresh.

  7. The screen in Tomorrowland has been playing “TNN,” Tomorrowland News Network, since the stage opened. I like how it references the Tomorrowland created in 1994.

DEB: Guess I hadn’t noticed at all 🙁
