5 Ways the NEW Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Ride Will Change Magic Kingdom

Summer is right around the corner, and while that means Disney World is about to get HOT, it also means that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is almost here!

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Disney announced the opening timeline for the ride in Disney World was moving up from “late 2024” to “Summer 2024” a few weeks ago. Once this new ride opens, a lot of things are going to change in Magic Kingdom, and you need to be prepared.

Beignets IN The Park! (Well, maybe …)

We’ve already seen this one start to happen — Beignets arrived in Magic Kingdom in February at Golden Oak Outpost to celebrate Black History Month, and then Disney announced they were sticking around for the month of March as well.

Tiana’s Famous Beignets

When Tiana’s opens, we can only imagine we’ll see Beignets become a staple in the park, since they are one of Tiana’s most iconic dishes. And when that day comes, we’ll be FIRST in line!

We COULD Get More Food Offerings Inspired By Tiana

Before Tiana’s Bayou Adventure has even opened in Disneyland, they got Tiana’s Palace, and we here on the East Coast are VERY jealous, thank you very much. When the ride opens though, Disney may introduce more food offerings inspired by our favorite hard-working Princess.

Tiana’s Palace

We’d love to also get a Tiana’s Palace in Disney World, but if that’s too much to ask, we’ll settle for a snack stand with her staples, or just some of her favorites sprinkled around Frontierland. We’re not asking for much, Disney!

Tiana MAY Get Her Own Meet and Greet Spot!

Right now, you can meet Tiana most days inside Princess Fairytale Hall, typically meeting with Rapunzel (they’re separate meet and greets, but only one line). However, when her ride opens and it becomes the SMASH hit we know it will be, she may get her own spot!

We love getting to meet multiple Princesses in one visit, but when you’ve got your own ride, we think that’s a good reason to get your own meet and greet spot! We’re assuming it’ll be somewhere close to the ride in Frontierland (like how Peter Pan meets near Peter Pan’s Flight in Fantasyland), but when/if we hear about it, we’ll run to tell you all.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Will Likely Lose Its Individual Lightning Lane Status

Magic Kingdom is already an outlier park, having TWO attractions that have Individual Lightning Lanes instead of being part of the regular Genie+ pricing, and when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure arrives, it’s unlikely they’ll have three.

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

And between Seven Dwarfs and TRON Lightcycle / Run, we’re 90% sure Disney will choose to send Seven Dwarfs to regular Genie+ so Tiana’s can take its place. TRON is still so new, having just opened in 2023, so the demand for the regular Genie+ line would likely be outrageous.

There Will Be A NEW Virtual Queue in The Park

As it currently stands, TRON Lightcycle / Run is the only attraction with a Virtual Queue in Magic Kingdom. Therefore, when Tiana’s opens…it’s likely it’ll take the Virtual Queue from TRON.

Emma and Cassie at TRON Lightcycle / Run

This means TRON will likely go to an Individual Lightning Lane or standby queue, which will be wild. The Virtual Queue process for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will likely be very similar to other Virtual Queues, but we’ll have to wait and see for sure.

These are the new UNSPOKEN rules about Virtual Queues in Disney World

As you can see, things are going to get very interesting in Magic Kingdom in a few months, especially if Country Bear Jamboree is still closed for its revamp. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest news, so stay tuned to AllEars!

  1. If they’re going to waft the aroma of beignets in Tiana’s ride queue, it would be cruel and unusual punishment NOT to offer beignets at a nearby snack cart!
