These NEW Changes to the Disney World App Will Make Your Life 10x Easier

The Disney World app (A.K.A. My Disney Experience) has gone through some serious changes since it was first rolled out.

But, a whole slew of updates have been rolled out on the app over the past few months, and if you haven’t used it yet in 2024 — don’t worry! We’re here to fill you in on anything you might have missed. Let’s get to it!

Disney Vacation Planner

The Disney World app has gone through even more changes recently, so if you haven’t used My Disney Experience yet in 2024 — here’s what you can expect!

Advance Dining Reservation Changes

The most recent update is probably the most exciting. Now, you can view reservations that are available for all the days you select within the Disney World app — for up to 10 days.

After selecting, a list of all the reservation times for each date will show up, allowing you to view multiple days and times at once.

The multi-day viewing option can also be easily swapped with the “Check Availability for Multiple Days” option right underneath the single-day reservation option. This update makes it so much easier to book dining reservations before and during your stay, allowing you more flexibility in the planning process.

Mobile Order Changes

In December 2023, Disney rolled out some updates to the Mobile Order feature of the app. The first change brought a picture of the items to the menu. It also made the ability to modify any items much easier by adding  “Modify” and quantity buttons to the “My Order” screen.

So, if you decide you don’t want the cheddar spread on your burger after it’s already added to your cart, you can click the “Modify” button. You can then change anything you want or need, including the quantity (which is also now changeable on the “My Order” screen), which is reflected in your order.

Not having to redo your entire order because you forgot to make one little modification can save you time in the long run and just makes the experience a bit easier overall.

General App Changes

It seems like Disney has been listening to fans because in general, the My Disney Experience app has become much easier to use with this most recent update. It makes the app more user-friendly and a bit more intuitive. For example, the main “hamburger” (three lines on the bottom right) menu screen has been condensed from 12 tiles to just 6.

There are also a few more features now listed directly under the tiles so you don’t have to click through those to get the information you need. Essentially, Disney has made the app more user-friendly based on the information people are likely to need and use most often.
