We have some BIG news about Brightline!
We’ve been keeping up with all of the new things coming from Brightline, and it feels like they never stop with the fun, new, and exciting announcements — and they aren’t slowing down now. Recently, they made a MAJOR announcement, and we can’t wait to see where it goes from here.
Brightline recently announced their new loyalty program, a new train station being built in Stuart, and even Wine Wednesdays. We thought it couldn’t get any better than this, but we were wrong. Now, Brightline is planning to build ANOTHER train station in Central Florida.
This new train station is being planned to come to Cocoa, according to the Orlando Sentinel. This will add a second station between West Palm Beach and Orlando, and make it easier for guests traveling from Orlando International Airport to get to their destinations in Cocoa.
Nothing is confirmed just yet, but the plans are looking bright! The Cocoa City Council voted to put $5 million towards the building of this new infrastructure and picked out the spot where they felt it would be best to locate this train station within the city.
If you’re planning to get off at this new stop in Cocoa, you’re in for a treat. Cocoa is known for its tourism and is the home to Cape Canaveral, Kennedy Space Center, SpaceX, and beautiful beaches with some delicious local eats. Many people who spend time in Cocoa fly into Orlando International Airport, so this new train station will take a ton of strain off of guests planning to spend time on the Space Coast.
If you’re planning on riding the Brightline on Wednesdays, make sure you keep an eye on when your train leaves the station. Between 4PM and 7PM on Wednesdays throughout March, guests will get 50% off glasses of wine at Mary Mary bars located throughout their train stations — so take advantage of that if you can!
