11/10 Rope Droppers Stay at These 6 Disney World Hotels

We love Disney World! There, we said it (as if there were any doubts). Even though we travel to Disney World quite often, we sometimes have Rope Drop anxiety, too!

Cloudy Skies in Magic Kingdom

But, lucky for all of us, we’ve curated the best list of resort hotels to stay at that will curb all of our rope drop anxieties! This list is based on hotels that are either extremely close to the parks or have amazingly easy modes of transportation that will get us to the parks in seconds!

We understand that the following resorts may not be for everyone, but that’s okay! This list is curated solely on ease of access to the parks and your list may look different.

Now, let’s get into it!

Disney’s Magic Kingdom Resorts

The resorts around Disney’s Magic Kingdom are extremely close to the parks and earn a spot on this list because of their accessibility.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort

The Contemporary Resort is the closest of the three to Magic Kingdom and is also accessible by the monorail and boat! The bus system here is typical of any of the Disney World bus systems but we can’t get over the walking path, monorail, and boat option to get to Magic Kingdom!

Disney’s Contemporary Resort Bay Lake Tower

You can also take the monorail over to EPCOT by transferring to the Transportation and Ticket Center! The ease of access is what earns the Contemporary a spot on the list.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Grand Floridian Resort

Disney’s Grand Floridian is another one of the Magic Kingdom resorts we recommend when staying on Disney property for the same reasons listed for the Contemporary!

With an easily accessible monorail to get to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, alongside the walking path and boat to Magic Kingdom, Grand Floridian is a great option if you’re a rope dropper like we are!

While we love the Polynesian Village, we are not recommending it right now. A new Disney Vacation Club addition to the Polynesian Village resort is under construction, and it is obstructing the walking path to Magic Kingdom. You can still take the monorail or a boat, though!

Now for the most diverse of our choices!

Disney’s Skyliner Resorts

These resorts range from value through moderate all the way to deluxe, allowing for a wide variety of options that can accommodate many guests with different preferences!

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Disney’s Pop Century Resort is a value resort on the Skyliner Route, with easy access to Hollywood Studios and EPCOT! While accessible by the Skyliner, Pop Century’s station is pretty far away from the resort, so keep that in mind when making that decision!

We can wholeheartedly recommend this resort if you’re looking to not only save money but easily get to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios!

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Caribbean Beach Resort

The hub of the Skyliner, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is probably the BEST resort to stay at if you plan on taking the Skyliner to either EPCOT or Hollywood Studios!

While staying here, you’ll never have to transfer at the station, as you have immediate access to either Skyliner route depending on where you’d like to go! We love it here.

Now for some unique choices!

Disney’s EPCOT Resort Area Hotels

These hotels below are some of our favorites due to how close they are to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, accessible by foot!

Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts

Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts are located right off of the Boardwalk area near EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. The resorts are within walking distance to both theme parks and can also easily access Disney’s Boardwalk!

Motown vibes

The hotels offer a laid back vibe that pairs well with their accessibility to some of our personal favorite parks!

Disney’s Boardwalk Resort

Garden Room entrance

Disney’s Boardwalk Resort is by far one of the most elegant and park accessible resorts out there! When you exit your room and head to the Boardwalk, all you have to do is choose to go left or right to get to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios (respectively).

Disney’s Boardwalk Resort

With available views of EPCOT from your room to the ability to see the fireworks from the Boardwalk itself, we love the location and accessibility offered by the resort! With the new rooms, this resort is an essential addition to this list!
