Cinderella Castle

When it comes to Disney World, we can help you with the big things like how to save money and advice on where to stay. In this case, we want to help you with something super important — finding the best spot to watch Disney World fireworks!

After consulting with our Disney World experts. we’ve come up with several of the best HIDDEN or not-so-obvious areas of Disney World that are ideal for viewing fireworks. Let’s take a look!

DISNEY WORLD HOTELS AND RESTAURANTS

Harmonious fireworks as seen from the Riviera Resort

Some of the best views of the fireworks are outside of the parks! Not only can you still get great views of the shows, but you also aren’t packed into a space with other people. We recommend viewing the shows from hotels especially if you’re looking to wind down shortly after or are more introverted in nature.

One of our favorite spots is at Topolino Terrace (with a cocktail in hand, of course) at the Riviera Resort!

Another hotel spot we recommend is at Geyser Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge!

The view of the fireworks

This restaurant has some nice fireworks views and also plays the fireworks music during the show.

When it comes to Magic Kingdom fireworks, a lot of people will hype up California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

While the views from the restaurant (and accompanying lounge) can be fantastic, they don’t come cheap as you have to be eating there. However, remaining at the Contemporary, there are FREE views from some of the outdoor terraces on the level with the shops that do the trick while saving a bunch of money.

Another great spot to watch fireworks isn’t as hidden as we’d like, but still a special spot for viewing!

Fourth of July Fireworks seen from Polynesian beach

Watching fireworks from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort on the beach is certainly unique and provides some fantastic and fan-favorite experiences.

DISNEY WORLD RIDES

DUMBO The Flying Elephant

Outdoor attractions can be excellent spots to watch fireworks if you are looking for a ride and show! Not only that, fireworks demand people’s time so on occasion the wait times can be shorter (although this isn’t always the case). If you can catch a ride on Dumbo the Flying Elephant at Magic Kingdom during a fireworks spectacular, you’ve absolutely struck gold!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Whether you’re talking to a Disney World or Disneyland expert, we’re sure they’ll agree, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom are ideal spots to watch fireworks shows! Going up the lift hills and seeing a sparkly sky is definitely the basis of a core Disney memory.

INSIDE THE PARKS

Tomorrowland!

Believe it or not, some hidden spots are hiding in plain sight! For example, one of our favorite spots to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks is at the Tomorrowland Entrance. Here, you can still see the castle projections AND it’s super easy to run back for a late-night ride on Space Mountain after the show!

Over at EPCOT, we recommend viewing the shows at a restaurant!

Fireworks view from Rose & Crown

While EPCOT does offer fireworks dinner and show packages, in truth you can probably get a good view along any of the waterfront restaurants. Some of our favorites include Rose & Crown, Spice Road Table, and La Hacienda de San Angel.

Another great location in Magic Kingdom is over at Fantasyland!

Cinderella Castle

Behind Cinderella Castle, you’ll find a pretty solid view of the fireworks. If you don’t mind missing the projections, this is a great spot to kick back and relax during the fireworks show without feeling smushed by people around you.

  1. The bridge to Tomorrowland is our go-to place to watch fireworks. You don’t have to be there super early to get a spot to watch, can still see the projections, and most importantly, Tinkerbell flies straight over the top of you!
