Every Single Disney World Pool Closure in 2024

2024 is here!

Happy New Year!

Are you deep into the planning for your 2024 Disney World trip? If you are, there are some very important things you’ll need to know about next year — which pools will be closed and when!

Fuentes del Morro Pool (January-Late March 2024)

The Fuentes del Morro Pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort will be closed for refurbishment on January 9th.

The other 5 pools (there’s one in each village) at the hotel will still be open, though, so you’ll still be able to get your swim on!

Doubloon Lagoon Pool (January-Late March 2024)

The Doubloon Lagoon at Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter will be closed for refurbishment on January 9th.

While the refurb is happening, you’re welcome to swim in the Ol’ Man Island pool over at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside since the resort is connected.

Alternative Options

Also, if those pool days are really important to you, here are 2 other hotels we recommend:

Lost City of Cibola Pool at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort doesn’t just have a pool. Oh, no… what this Resort has is the Lost City of Cibola Pool, with a 50-foot pyramid setting the scene among the Mayan ruins! A 123-foot-long waterslide adds to the sense of adventure to The Dig Site — the area where you’ll also encounter the largest hot tub in Disney World! And we aren’t kidding, that hot tub can hold 22 of your closest friends and family.

A kiddie pool and the Siestas Cantina pool bar are also nearby, and guests looking for a more quiet setting can also make use of any of the three leisure pools at the Resort. Vacation photos from this pool will have your friends convinced that you were at an exotic location and not just in the middle of Florida.

Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts

The 3-acre Stormalong Bay is shared by guests at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts and is basically a destination unto itself. A Lazy River. A sand bottom and mini sand beaches. One of the longest slides at a Disney World hotel. A pool just for kiddos. Three whirlpools. A tanning deck.

Stormalong Bay Pool

Add to that a shipwreck theme for the slide and the kids’ pool, and you have got yourself one completely unforgettable Resort pool… if “pool” is the right word, that is. Because Stormalong Bay is practically a mini water park and one that your family won’t soon forget!

Blizzard Beach

This one’s totally not a pool, if you want a complete water park experience, you’ll have to check out Blizzard Beach. Just make sure to keep an eye on when you will be visiting because it will be closing sometime in the spring of 2024. There are two water parks at Disney World (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon) and they’ve been playing a one-on, one-off dance for a while, so when Blizzard Beach closes, we’ll see Typhoon Lagoon open back up. We’ll let you know once we get those dates so that you can plan on hitting up the right rides. (Just keep in mind that when one park is closed, that means ALL of its attractions are inaccessible.)

Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach

These are all the dates and timelines we have for now, but we’ll continue to update this post when more dates are announced. So stay tuned to AllEars for more.
