We love having a wild time in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Disney World’s wildest park has some amazing food options and some that are, well, more hit-or-miss. To help you decide where you should eat on your Animal Kingdom day, we’re ranking all of the restaurants of Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Let’s take a look at how the Animal Kingdom restaurants stack up to each other!

27. Pizzafari

SCORE: 6.37

“A slightly-elevated theme park pizza that is great for a meal larger than a snack, but smaller as well as quicker than a full meal. It will keep you going.”

“Honestly we really like Pizzafari. We fill the rest of our trip with adventurous foods so it’s nice to have something predictable and consistent to rely on.”

“Sooooooooooooo slow. The service was absolutely ridiculous.”

26. Harambe Market

“I loved the location of it and loved sitting so close to the train. It is not super cool or fancy food but it is good.”

“I really enjoyed this location for quick service! They had some unique choices, but some go-to standards for picky eaters. There was seating nearby & everything was reasonably priced. I was happy to come across this place & have some solid snacks.”

“Amazing theming and great food options that span different palettes. The only issue is if your party wants to order from different stations you may not get all your food at the same time. Mobile order is also not always faster than just waiting in line here.”

25. Restaurantosaurus

“This may sound shallow but the only two reasons I ate here was bc I knew I couldn’t make it to Pandora before having to eat and also I always thought the name was kinda cute. The last reason in particular was certainly not a reason to eat here bc the food is very bad. The only compliments I’m willing to give this place is that the tchochkes on the wall a la Chili’s are kinda fun (if that’s your thing) and there’s always plenty of big tables available to eat at.”

“I got the Mac n cheese and it was pretty bad. It looked like it had been sitting out for a while and looked gross. I just ate the sides of applesauce lol. There were lots of seating and we didn’t wait that long for our food.”

“This place is nothing special, honestly. It has your typical quick service food, but it’s probably one of my least favorite quick services. It’s always busy and, although the place is pretty big, it can be hard and stressful to even get a table. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here, but it’s also not the worst food. It’s in a somewhat convenient location, so it does the trick.”

24. Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe

“Great place to stop and have a quick snack. I haven’t eaten a meal here but have stopped by to sit down for a few minutes and have a couple of eggrolls or fried rice and a cold beverage. Its great when the side window is open so you don’t have to wait in the regular line for a cold beer (and you can get eggrolls there too). The theming of the seating area is cool also, with the fountain in the center and overall asian vibe.”

“We’re a family of four with two adventurous eaters (adults) and two picky eaters (kids). We ate breakfast at Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafe in July 2022. We stopped here to grab a quick bite on our 2nd day in Animal Kingdom. My husband and I each ordered egg and sausage breakfast sandwiches, and our kids ate the hash browns that came as the sides. It was good, tasty; it met our need in the moment. The seating area was fine and plentiful first thing in the morning. Like all space in Animal Kingdom, is was evident that great care was taken with the theming, and my husband enjoyed all the hiking/camping memorabilia that decorated the space.”

“We actually prefer to eat here instead of in the Yak & Yeti sit down restaurant. Especially since our kids are older than 9 now but are very picky eaters. So they can still get something off of the “kids” menu that they will actually eat. We’ve had many dishes from this quick service and all have been very good.”

“We tried the ice cream sandwich and it’s really good. It’s not ground breaking or anything but it’s tasty on a hot day.”

22. Rainforest Cafe

“Let me start off with I am a Florida local and I love Rainforest Cafe and their food. They are more on the pricy side but you get a good size portion and the theming is incredible. My son and I just went for the first time to Breakfast here at Animal Kingdom’s Rainforest and the food was good. Not the best I have ever had but certainly not the worst. I always bring friends or family who come to visit to one of the 3 (Rainforest Disney Springs or Animal Kingdom, T-Rex Café). They do not get the credit they truly deserve which is such a shame. I have never had a just a mediocre meal let a lone a bad meal ever nor has anyone I have brought with me.”

“I always go to Rainforest Cafe when here. The theming is amazing and is great for kids. The food is just OK and a bit pricey but the kids menu offers plenty of great options.”

“This is fun for the kids and is conveniently located at the entrance of the park. It’s great to hit up on your way out of AK.”

21. Harambe Fruit Market

“My son and I were feeling hangry after going on the Kilimanjaro Safari ride. So my husband got us some fruit/veggies, grilled corn, and our first Mickey pretzel w/ cheese here. Loved the spiced corn and that you can get healthier options here. Mickey pretzel was cute, but dry so definitely get the plastic cheese cup.”

“I think it is a great stop in animal kingdom, there are definitely better places but it really is great!”

“It’s corn! I dream about this corn. If u love flavor get it with the spices. If your kids are like mine and hate flavor you can get this without the spice. I get this every time!! It’s near the safari ride on a food cart with things like chips, fruit and pretzels.”

20. Smiling Crocodile

“Pork tacos were good. Short wait. I wouldn’t go out of my way for these, but if you are walking by they are worth trying. Nothing unique but if you are hungry they hit the spot and are reasonably priced. “

19. Eight Spoon Cafe

“The pulled pork mac and cheese was as good as advertised. Be aware, however, that even though it is listed as a snack, it is big and filling enough to count as a meal.”

“Get the bbq Mac and cheese! Soooo yummy and reasonably priced”

“I really enjoyed the combination of the Mac and cheese and pulled pork! It was so different but a classic as well. The only reason it did not have a 10/10 is because I would have probably wanted more bbq sauce.”

18. Creature Comforts

“My daughter loves the pink drink. Quick turn around even though it was busy and it’s air conditioned inside!”

“Everything here was done well. The cast members were kind & my drink was made well. But I don’t enjoy coming to a Starbucks when I’m on vacation. I like to try places that aren’t typically found just down the street from my house. If I want drinks or snacks I usually will try somewhere else!”

“This is the best Starbucks location inside a park in my opinion. The vibes are always so chill, friendly staff, and fun seasonal drinks + snacks. The wait time usually isn’t too long and it’s in a great location if you hit it up on your way over to Kilimanjaro Safari and sip your drink while waiting in line.”

17. Tusker House Lunch and Dinner Buffet

“it was my birthday when I went and I even got a little cupcake and card from our server”

“As I pinky promised Fry Bucket, my family and I came out to WDW to celebrate mom’s birthday 7 months ago in DAK and we had an amazing birthday dinner for her at Tusker House with the character dining included. Goofy and Donald were great.”

“I was pleasantly surprised with this. I’m not one for buffets but they seemed to bring out smaller dishes to the buffet which were being refreshed frequently. The characters were fun and very interactive. Service was great. Food was good and better than the normal Disney buffet.”

16. Isle of Java

“Great place to grab a quick Frozen Coke! I was able to order, sit down and enjoy it all before my wife got off of Expedition Everest.”

“Loved isle of Java. Simple stand, good for the morning quick eats.”

“I loved the Tiger Tail Chocolate Twist! I just let it sit in the sun for a moment to warm it up and make it melty and it was a perfect sweet snack!”

15. Pongu Pongu

SCORE: 8.42

“The night blossom slushy haunts my dreams. I think about it often. It’s such a nice refreshing drink that has a balancing where it’s not too sweet or tart. The pineapple cream cheese lumpia is decisive. If you like both flavors, then you’ll enjoy it. I love it, but will admit that usually I can only eat a half. It makes it a great shareable treat.”

“I always have to get the lumpia when I’m in Pandora! Such a unique treat!”

“The Night Blossom is an INCREDIBLY delicious drink, perfect to grab and go stand in a ridiculously long line for one of the Pandora rides. It is a unique and fun drink, outside the real of normal slushies, and very pretty! The Pongu Lumpia is… fine. I think everyone should try it once, but when I had it, it would have been better hot rather than lukewarm. Animal Kingdom has great food so I think the Pongu Lumpia can be skipped in favor of something else.”

14. Yak and Yeti

“Love Yak and Yeti! If you like asian food, that’s what you’re gonna get here. It’s very similar to a P.F. Chang’s. The atmosphere is pretty cool here too!”

“We really enjoyed our lunch. We shared some appetizers as well as entrees. Our service was wonderful.”

“We love Yak and Yeti. The food is consistently good (the tuna nachos are great!) and the service has been pretty good. We love the atmosphere and decor.”

13. Dawa Bar

SCORE: 8.50

“Really great place when the dance party is going on.”

“I think this little bar is underrated. I was pleasantly surprised by the drinks. I was afraid they would all be sickly sweet, but for premade cocktails they were tasty and refreshing. Plus, it’s a great place to sit in the shade and watch the live entertainment in the Africa section.”

“This is a great place to stop in and get out of the sun, have a cold beverage, and enjoy the live entertainment going on right on the street outside.”

12. Tiffins

SCORE: 8.53

“Had lunch here, and it was the 2nd best meal of the trip, and only then because we went to Victoria and Albert’s on this trip. Food here was amazing: bread service, and a veal entree which was out of this world. Service was superb. Only complaint (besides cost) is the menu for lunch is a full-on dinner menu, with no lighter options. But we knew that going in. Highly recommend.”

“tiffin’s isn’t good disney food. tiffin’s is just good food. my server was attentive and gave me great suggestions based on my preferences. I went during the 50th anniversary celebration so I don’t remember everything I had. What I do remember is the lion king mousse dessert, bread service, and lobster mac and cheese. I think about this meal often and when I will be returning to WDW to dine here again.”

“Always a must do restaurant. I like variety and that means we often try new restaurants or foods. However, Tiffins is always a must do just like riding your favorite ride!”

11. Flame Tree Barbecue

SCORE: 8.60

“#1 reason I’m giving this a 10 is because of that pulled pork mac & cheese… it’s AMAZING!! Also has a great area out back by the water to eat. Beautiful and peaceful. Absolutely love eating here.”

“i’m a plant-based eater who goes to wdw with a group of non-plant-based eaters and we all enjoy this quick-service spot. getting food there is always easy, the food is always good and the size of the seating area is wonderful which also includes shade and a beautiful view.”

“We were traveling with our 5 children (22, 19, 14, 8 and 7) and we ordered the 1/2 chicken, pulled pork sandwich, baked mac & cheese with pork, an onion rings basket, the Bubbling Pink Lagoon and a Flamingo Cupcake. The cupcake was amazing and so adorable! It had some very flavorful strawberries in the cupcake along with the wings, which were edible. The baked mac & cheese was phenomenal and the onion rings were great as well. It was a TON of food.”

10. Royal Anandapur Tea Company

“They had shakin Jamaican cold brew which came out nice and strong and there was a light cream pitcher yay.”

“If you’re a tea lover, go here! So many different options that you can’t find elsewhere. Love it and could spend all day tasting each flavor.”

“the tea selection here is great, so fun to try the different types even on a hot day.”

9. Mr. Kamal’s

SCORE: 8.70

“Always a great stop for the fries if you are walking by and need a snack. I wouldn’t suggest going out of your way for them, but they are better than just boring old fries. Easy to share. “

8. Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery

“The alcohol Amurula coffee was awesome! Great to walk the gorilla trail! The pistachio croissant was excellent also!”

“Love this little spot in Harambe! Great for breakfast especially if you’re trying to avoid the lines in other areas. “

“So yummy!!! The cupcakes here are my favorite out all the cupcakes on Disney property!”

7. Tusker House Character Breakfast

SCORE: 8.83

“This is so much fun! The vibe in this restaurant is very upbeat. The characters are wonderful and spend lots of time with everyone. The food is delicious and offers a great selection. “

“We really enjoyed our first time having breakfast at the Tusker House. The character interaction was great. The food was good, but it’s mainly typical breakfast buffet type stuff. They did have a few unique items, which were good, but I would say this meal is more for the character interaction than the food.”

“I LOVE this character meal! This is especially a great spot for young children. My 2 year old loved interacting with the characters and we adults loved watching the pure joy on his face as he met his favorite characters. Character interaction doesn’t feel rushed like some other locations – they each spent a decent amount of time at our table.”

6. Anandapur Ice Cream Truck

SCORE: 8.83

“Ever since i was very little, my absolute FAVORITE and must get dessert at Walt Disney World is chocolate soft serve ice cream. I love it. It’s amazing and reminds me of all the memories I’ve made in Disney World. So of course I would love this truck that specifically sells soft serve ice cream. But it’s not just the ice cream that contributes to my love for this food service. The location, the decor, and the amazing service are all reasons to buy soft serve here. “

“One of my favorite childhood memories is hanging out with my day while my mom and brother were on Everest. (I was too scared) and He bought me a mickey bar from this cart. Perfect on a hot day. Perfectly themed to park area.”

“My husband and I stopped here for a quick cool down of ice cream. It was your typical chocolate/vanilla swirl. Nothing special but at the same time that often hits the spot. If you are looking for something you can’t get anywhere else then this isn’t your spot but nothing bad about it either.”

5. Tamu Tamu Refreshments

SCORE: 8.83

“This is a Must Do for me in DAK! Nothing better than a boozy Dole Whip on a hot day!”

“We enjoyed Dole Whip, a Dole Whip Float with Orange Soda, and a pineapple crisp sundae. Everything was delicious – our family’s favorite was the Pineapple Crisp Sundae.”

“A must stop for me in Animal Kingdom. I’ve never personally experienced it being closed, and the Simba Sunset is one of my favorite Dole Whips. For someone with a dairy allergy, the syrups and fancier vibe of the dessert help my FOMO when I think about all the fancier sundaes I can’t enjoy. “

4. Satu’li Canteen

SCORE: 8.98

“One of the best quick service restaurants. Cheeseburger pods are one of my favorite foods in all of Disney. Even if that’s not your thing though, there are so many options. There’s plenty of Vegan or allergen friendly options. The food is really good all around!”

“Great place if you are tired of the same ole, same ole burgers and fries. The bowls are great and you can create your own. Beer was good too. Staff was very friendly and courteous.”

“The theming is amazing here and the quality of the food is great for the price you pay. there are a lot of good protein options here which is really refreshing after days in the park.”

3. Nomad Lounge

SCORE: 9.22

“So nice, quiet, you get to watch the floats go by as you sit and sip yummy drinks and eat light bites. You can get the Tiffins bread service while there too!”

“Wonderful break spot for drinks and snacks. A+ atmosphere and unique and quality menu.”

“Cast Members are extremely attentive and knowledgable. Cocktails are very creative and refreshing. If you are intimidated by the cocktail menu just let the cast member know what you enjoy in a drink and they will steer you in the right direction. The Mocktail menu is inventive, a great option non alcoholic drinkers. The tuna poke bowl is a light midday snack to enjoy with your beverage.”

2. Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks

SCORE: 9.25

“Great bar over by Everest. I get a drink every time I visit Animal Kingdom/. Great drink selection, awesome margaritas! “

“My sister grabbed a quick IPA between single rider rides on Everest. She was super happy with the service and had a short wait.”

“This is a walk up bar but deserves its 9 rating for the Kungaloosh Ale alone. This is a spiced beer and is delicious. Most of the time spiced beers have a fall/winter appeal but this one is emminently drinkable even in the full FL heat and humidity.”

1. Trilo-Bites

SCORE: 9.50

“The trilobites twist dole whip may have been one of my favorite I’ve ever had on property! The green color may throw you off but it’s just vanilla flavored! 10/10 and I think about stopping back there to get another any time I’m in DAK.”

“If you love buffalo chicken, the buffalo chicken chips are a MUST! They are so yummy, the bleu cheese sauce is so delicious. I will warn that it’s a little overwhelming on the salt for one person so I recommend at least 2 people sharing. “
