There are lots of different Disney accessories you can buy, but perhaps none is quite as iconic as a set of Mickey or Minnie ears!

Cornflower Blue Ears

Last year, almost 100 new designs for ears were released. Maybe you got one (or 12) of them, or you just admired them from afar.

But which ears were the most UNIQUE ones released? Did you snag all of these for your collection? Check out our list here!

1. Pizza Minnie Ears

We start our list with some ears themed to one of our favorite things at Disney World…food! Whether your favorite slice of pizza is from Pizza Ponte or Via Napoli, if you love this classic food, then hopefully you snagged a pair of last year’s fantastic Pizza Ears from the Italy pavilion in EPCOT.

The band of the ears is covered in a red and white gingham pattern which you might find as the tablecloth at your favorite Italian spot. And the side tells you “Buon Appetito” (or “Enjoy Your Meal”)!

Each of the ears is covered in some seriously adorable toppings. Green peppers, olives, mushrooms, and pepperonis anyone?

Whether you wear these while munching on your favorite pizza slice or dreaming of your next Italian snack, they’ll add a little extra delicious magic to your outfit.

2. Fish and Chips Chips

Maybe pizza isn’t your thing, though. Maybe, just maybe, the snack that you love to grab are some fish & chips over at the United Kingdom pavilion. Well, then these Fish and Chips Minnie Ears are probably the best thing you never knew you needed!

Fish & Chips Minnie Ears

Last year, we spotted these ears in the United Kingdom pavilion and just looking at them made us hungry for that salty & savory snack. The back of the ears feature the phrase “fish and chips” on them in a vibrant red, blue, and gold design.

The sides of the headband and the bow are covered in fabric meant to mimic the newspaper you’d enjoy that tasty treat on. And, the ears themselves feature cartoon versions of a fish…

…and chips!

All we need is some actual fish & chips and malt vinegar, and we’ll be ready to go!

3. Ears That TALK!

Aside from some epic snack ears, last year we also got two different ears that speak! First, we got the Mickey Mouse Musical Hat, which was part of the Disney Parks Designer Collection, with artwork designed by Dave Perillo.

The ears are cute enough on their own, but they can totally step your outfit up a notch because they actually play the Mickey Mouse March at the flip of a switch on the left ear!

If you’re looking to grab a set of these ears now, you can still find them on shopDisney for $58.

If you wanted a set of ears designed by the voice of Mickey Mouse himself, you could have snagged that too. Last year, Bret Iwan, the voice of the Mouse himself, designed a pair of ears for the Disney Parks Designer Collection. The Bret Iwan Mickey Ears feature built-in speakers and an “on-air” neon sign that lights up!

Turn on these ears and you’ll hear Mickey say his signature phrase — “Oh boy!”

These are definitely a great addition to any Mickey Mouse collection.

4. Mickey Glove Ears

Typically, the ears on these headbands are in the shape of, well, Mickey ears. But if you want something really unique, you can get the Mickey Mouse Gloves Ears, with Mickey’s hands in place of his ears! We’ve got to give these ears a hand for their uniqueness.

Maybe you can’t hold Mickey’s hand right now in the parks, but you can wear his gloves on your head instead! Want to snag these right now? You can still grab them on shopDisney for $24.99.

5. Balloon Ears

When you walk into a Disney World theme park (except Disney’s Animal Kingdom), one of the signature things you’ll spot are those double layered Mickey balloons featuring a Mickey ears design encased in a circular balloon.

But while a real balloon can pop or float away, you’ll be able to enjoy these balloons forever, no matter where you are. You can snag the awesome Mickey Mouse Balloon Light-Up Ears, which come in an awesome red design…

6. Baby Yoda Headband

One of the most unique ears we spotted last year wasn’t exactly a pair of Mickey ears at all. Little by little, Baby Yoda started taking over our kitchens, our living rooms, and our closets. And he’s ready to take over your ears collection too with The Child Ear Headband!

Baby Yoda Headband

It’s a plush headband featuring the ears and adorable big eyes of one of our favorite Star Wars characters. And he can be all yours for just $29.99.

7. Retro Disneyland Ears

For nearly all of 2020, the Disneyland Resort theme parks were closed, and unfortunately they remain closed right now, too. But, that didn’t stop the Resort from releasing some retro Disneyland ears to make us all feel like we’re walking right into the Happiest Place on Earth.

Disneyland Ears!

The ears are a beautiful shimmery blue color, and they feature the Disneyland sign that welcomed guests when the park first opened.

For now, guests can do some limited shopping and dining at Downtown Disney and the reopened Buena Vista Street and dream about the next time we can all ride the Matterhorn in Disneyland Park.

8. THE BLONDS Ears

From retro, we go to glamorous. This next set of ears designed by THE BLONDS is COVERED in over 300 hand-sewn Preciosa crystals on both the ears and the top of the hat.

And the ears feature Mickey’s signature on the back.

And while the design itself is unique, what really makes these stand out are their price. No, they’re not $100, $200, or even $300. If you wanted to snag a pair of these ears last year, you were looking at shelling out $600! You might think that their high price would have made them sell slowly, but that’s not the case. These ears actually sold out really fast online when they were released!

9. Joe Rohde Ears

If you’re looking for your next adventure, then you’ll want to pack these phenomenal ears from Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde. Before he announced his retirement, Joe graced us all with this ear hat inspired by his many travels.

©Disney

It’s got a simulated leather design, sherpa detailing, attached goggles, and compass ears. Wondering what those GPS coordinates are for? The ones on the left ear are for Mount Everest, while the ones on the right ear are for Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

These ears are sold out right now online, but if you want to try to get a piece of Joe Rohde’s actual collection from his travels, check out the items he’s been putting up on his virtual garage sale!

10. Viking Ears

Finally, we round out our top ten list with the really unique Viking Ears from Norway in EPCOT! Get ready to channel your inner warrior with these ears that feature horns, shields, and runes.

Viking Ears

We even felt like they had a bit of a Maelstrom vibe to them.

Viking Ears

You might not be able to bring back the classic Maelstrom attraction, but you can carry that viking vibe with you all over EPCOT with these awesome ears.

Of course, no top 10 list would be complete without a few honorable mentions. While the ears shared above were some of the most unique ones we spotted in 2020, there were some other really fascinating creations released as well. If you’re looking for a summer vibe, you can grab the Mickey Mouse Pool Float Ear Headband, which is actually on sale online right now for $21.98 AND you can take an additional 25% off!
