Check Out the Restaurant and Lounges of Disney World’s New Gran Destino Tower

Today, we had the opportunity to be among the first to see inside Coronado Springs Resort’s new Gran Destino Tower. We’ve explored the Tower’s standard hotel rooms and suites. We’ve also given you a peek at nearly everything the Tower has to offer.

Gran Destino Tower

But now it’s time to take a look at the Tower’s three dining locations: the Barcelona Lounge, the Dahlia Lounge, and Toledo — Tapas, Steak & Seafood.

Barcelona Lounge

On the lower level of the Gran Destino Tower lobby, you will find the gorgeous Barcelona Lounge.

For the remainder of the day, you will find wines, beers, ciders, and signature cocktails available in the lounge.

The bar area has a really colorful stained glass backsplash. Can you spot the hidden Mickey? Hint! It looks like a standard Mickey ear hat and can be found right above the counter in the tan-colored portion of the stained glass.

The surrounding area reflects the rest of the new tower in terms of aesthetic. You can check out our full first look at the Gran Destino Tower post here!

Dahlia Lounge

The Dahlia Lounge is located on the 16th floor of the Gran DestinoTower.

It has 50 seats inside and 30 seats outside.

A virtual queue can be activated if the lounge gets too crowded in order to keep the area intimate.

“Gin Tonic” is the signature drink of the Tower, as gin is a very popular drink in Spain. (Note that it’s not a gin AND tonic!)

The location has a wine-in-motion system that pours 5-oz. servings. This allows the lounge to serve small pours of the wine without ruining the bottle.

Dahlia Lounge

The location is named for a character in the Disney short, Destino, which serves as a source of inspiration throughout this new Tower. In this animated short, Dahlia and Chronos (whose name graces the Tower’s Club Level) fall in love. The light fixtures are designed to look like dandelion wisps and the black lines were made to look like Dahlia’s hair.

The bell shapes are also drawn from the short film.

The bar has charging stations and hooks perfect for holding bags.

Now, let’s take a little peek at the menu!

There are shareable tapas small plates and other plated food options.

The wine list is 80 percent Spanish and 20 percent Californian. There is also Spanish beer on draft.

Toledo is only one Disney Dining Plan credit, which was quite a surprise to us after experiencing the restaurant for the first time.

The food is not the only incredible thing at this location. The atmosphere is really outstanding as well.

Toledo

There are tons of bright colors and a ceiling filled with stained glass.

Toledo

The tile floor is very light and the room feels very open and airy.

Toledo

Though there is a nice view, you sadly cannot go outside when dining at Toledo.

Toledo

The location has two private dining rooms. And these room offer group dining menus.

Stay tuned! Tomorrow we will be diving a bit deeper into these locations to share our dining experiences — the food, the atmosphere, and more!
