This is of course a must-do at Animal Kingdom. I'm not a big animal fan, but this is a ride you need to go on. Lots of close encounter animal experiences. Kids will love this ride.

Pros:

Cool ride vehicle.

Cons:

Animals aren't always available.

This ride depends on your driver! The first time we rode it I would’ve said 10/10 but the second driver was so boring and monotones that I would’ve said 5/10. The animals are fun to see and it gets you off of your feet for about 15 mins.

Pros:

Animals Rest your feet So much fun when you have a great driver

Cons:

Boring drivers suck all the fun out of it

A great change of pace in a typical amusement park day. We got to see a bunch of wildlife and remember one of Walt's true messages of conservation and education!

Pros:

Fun and educational!

Cons:

I guess if you don't like cool animals??

Very fun ride...we got to see some of the animals; but definitely go in the morning. (at rope drop, head right whenever everyone and their mother is heading left to go to Pandora). The driver talked really fast, so was hard to hear her at times; but we got the jist of it. Fun ride

Pros:

Fun ride, get to see alot of the animals

Cons:

hit or miss on the animals..depends on the time of the day

If you've been on a park safari ride before you may think this one should be skipped, but this one is next level... you don't notice the fences and barriers so it seems that the animals are in their natural habitat.

Pros:

The closest you'll get to a real safari experience outside of Africa, tour guides are funny.

Cons:

Animals can be unpredictable and often aren't as active during the day, also the limited hours for this attraction can be frustrating.

This is definitely the park's baby, and it's super clear they love it! A chance to go on Safari here in the US is just amazing and the Savannah is INCREDIBLE with how close you can get to some of these animals. On our last trip, we had a rhino all but nuzzle the car! It was so cool! The one bummer is that the experience is 100% based on the whims of the animals as they are free to live their lives as they see fit (as it should be!) I haven't seen the lions in several years. But add this to your must do list while at AK! And hopefully you will get a safari guide who loves their job! We did it twice on this last visit and had two VERY different cast members. One who LOVED what they were doing and one who was just reciting facts and info.

Pros:

Incredible animal experience. Nothing like it here in the states. Some cast members are VERY knowledgeable and make it a really unique experience.

Cons:

If you go too early in the day or during high afternoon, many animals will be sleeping or hiding from the sun so you might not see a ton.

A must do when you visit Animal Kingdom. I love going in the morning when more animals are active and you can see the lion doing his daily roars! Given that this attractions deals with live animals, you will find some areas with hiding animals and could be stopped by roaming giraffes (the giraffes thing isn't a con by any means though).

I definitely must start my Animal Kingdom day with a visit to this attraction!

(Last visited May 2021)

Pros:

You get good views of the animals

Cons:

Your time in line can be delayed by crossing animals
