My family go to Disney every year for vacation. Last august we ate at boathouse an the food was outstanding.I got the steak and fries an it was great. My daughter got the salmon an enjoyed it.My wife got the yacht club club it was very good. The waitress was wonderful she helped out when I of the appetizers was not available she ask the chef if he could make it up an he did This brings us to may 14 we had to go because it was good last time. It was crowed for Mother’s Day which could be expected. Our waiter if you want to call him that took our order an never came back again to check on us. I got the New York steak and fries an it was inedible. The salmon had no flavor.

Boathouse was so kind to let us be seated an hour earlier from our reservation on a Friday lunch. The oysters are super fresh at standard prices. We got the lobster roll and Andouille sausage and shrimp Mac and cheese, both underwhelming with little to no flavor. I would come here again for the ambiance only.
Pros:
Next to the water and wonderful place to have a relaxing lunch.Cons:
Nothing special about the food.Reviewed by Marktini Review Date: 02/10/2021

We visited February of 2020 based on all the rave reviews we've heard and were largely disappointed. The food we got was...OK. The grouper was fresh and well-cooked, but over-seasoned with forgettable accompaniment. The burger everyone raves about didn't seem like anything special (we'd take D-luxe any day). Our favorite bites of the night were sides: lobster mac and asparagus. The food for the price was not great, but the biggest issue we had was the environment. The restaurant was extremely loud with tables on top of each other. (This was pre-COVID so this may be better now). Our group of five could not attempt a conversation with all the noise of other parties and ambient restaurant clatter. If we were to return, I would request an outdoor table on a nice day.
Pros:
Huge menu with lots of options for all palates, attentive serviceCons:
(pre-COVID) extremely noisy and crowded inside, food was not as refined as expected for the priceReviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 12/19/2020

Left Hungry and $90 less in my pocket.
Pros:
Location and nice serverCons:
Everything else. Food portions were TINY. Lobster was so tough I could not chew. My husband’s shrimp and Mac dish had about 3 tiny shrimp and a few specks of sausage in it. We both left very hungry and sad that we had kept our reservations there.Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 09/14/2019

Don’t Bother
We were excited to eat here, and decided to blow the 2 Disney Dining Plan credits each for a signature dining experience. The atmosphere is boaty casual - I mean, there are boats everywhere. Suspended from the ceiling, full-sized next to tables, etc. In case you weren’t sure from the name, the owner likes boats. Anyway, the restaurant was a bit noisy, but that’s nothing abnormal in a Disney restaurant. Server was friendly, and I don’t have complaints there. I asked about the possibility of switching out a dessert for an appetizer or salad, and I was told it can only be done if I have a physical disease, like a gluten allergy or diabetes. Really? I’m not allowed to simply want something other than dessert? Ok, fine. So I decided on the Filet Mignon, but the menu doesn’t indicate if it comes with anything other than the meat. I asked about the sides; server said it comes with roasted potatoes. I asked about switching them for the baked potato and was told no, it can’t be done. Excuse me? If I am paying $50 for an entree, I ought to be able to pick a different side! I wasn’t asking for shrimp or lobster, for heavens sake. And there was nothing roasted about those potatoes - I got 5 little potatoes, like new potatoes, and they were neither crispy nor flavorful. The filet was good, but not ‘wow’, and parts of the outside were very charred. So for my money, I can do better at Longhorn, where, for less than half the price, I get fantastic steak, a salad - and I get to pick my own side.
Pros:
Nice atmosphere if you like boatsCons:

Had booked this as a special treat as the setting is brilliant and the reviews were good but was bitterly disappointed. It didn’t help that our waiter was offhand and inefficient (he took my friend’s order but left without taking mine) I thought the food was pretty average and overpriced. We did complain to the management and they were duly apologetic. Can only hope that this was a one-off and the waiter was having a bad night. Other tables were enjoying better service so we were just unlucky I guess. Won’t be giving it a second chance though

Ate here the week of 10/10. With the temperature outside being in the low 70's, the restaurant must have had their air condition set at 60 or lower. Everyone on our party was too cold to enjoy the atmosphere - many others in restaurant were putting on sweaters/jackets just trying to stay warm. Husband had swordfish, I had crab cakes and grandson had surf and turf. Food was extremely bland. The wait staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Lunch..... Salad (12), Fries (9) Mahi tacos (21), 1 glass wine (12), Kids chicken strips (10), kid's icee (6). Lunch total for 2 adults and 1 child = $70 plus tip. That's right - fish tacos, salad, fries, a glass of wine and kids meal and an icee cost us a grand total of $82. That is freakin' insane. And my kid said the chicken fingers tasted funny.

This is supposedly a Signature Dining restaurant. It does not meet the standards of the other Signature Dining restaurants. My husband and I are Disney passholders and frequent Disney diners. We were very excited to try this new restaurant and were disappointed with the food. I had the mahi tacos and he had the shrimp and grits. My young daughters had mac & cheese. The mahi tacos were just ok, and my husband said the shrimp were dry, although the bite of grits that I had tasted good. The best thing I tasted was the kids' mac & cheese. We ordered the "fruit cup" for my 4-year-old, which we expected would be fruit salad, but we received an orange in a bowl. A whole, unpeeled orange. In a bowl. Really, Disney? A "Signature Dining" restaurant and you can't peel and cut an orange? We were extremely disappointed and will not be returning to this restaurant. Disney needs to either step up their food quality at this location or reclassify it from Signature Dining to regular Table Service. The atmosphere at the restaurant is very nice, but it's not worth the prices to eat here.
