Pros: located in my hotel
Cons:

Ate here during out stay 9/11 - 9/16. Hsd the QSDP. The order kiosk is convenient and easy to use. When you take your printed order ticket that is dispensed from the kiosk to the cashier he/she can make any adjustments to your order you desire. Ate mostly sandwiches and flatbreads. Enjoyed everything we ordered. The Mahi sandwich is the best. Did not like the Kaiser roll it came on. But change the bread to a multi grain roll at the cashier counter our subsequent orders. The Stacked (ham) Sandwich is large enough for two people. Side orders to the sandwiches are Asian Sesame Green Beans, Chips (freshly made) and fries. Did not have the opportunity to try the Chips, but found the other two to be good.

Pros: good variety, quick service
Cons: none

We ate the majority of our meals here during our recent stay at the Contemporary resort as we had the QSDP. The adult meals were good and most were large enough to share. I liked the pasta dishes and there was plenty of food. The kids were happy with breakfast and pizza was good. We loved the touch screen ordering and found it much easier. We ate at Capt. Cooks and Gasparilla Grill and the food was superior. Its great to watch the monorail go by as you eat. The only drawback was that my DS wanted to go to Chef Mickey's every time we went to eat!

Pros: Easy and convenient
Cons:

We ate breakfast here almost every morning of our last stay. The menu is pretty standard, and it was an easy and convenient place to stop for breakfast. I would for sure eat here again if I stayed at the Contemporary.

Pros: Location
Cons: Atmosphere

We at the Contempo Cafe for dinner on July 1, 2009, at about 6:00 pm. It was serviceable, but there were some notable lapses that mark it as a cut below the average Disney counter service restaurant, in my opinion.

The computer ordering system was somewhat daunting. As you went in there was a large screen that displayed everything they had. But then to actually order, you had to navigate a couple of levels deep to actually find the item to order. I would have liked some way to see the entire menu on one page on the screen I used to order. A lot of fellow guests were completely baffled by the order screen. You still had to wait for your food and then go to a traditional checkout station to pay -- why couldn't I pay when I ordered on the screen? So in the end the computer order screen probably added time rather than saved time.

I had the open-faced roast beef sandwich which was pretty ordinary. The soup of the day was posted as Smoked Tomato Bisque, which we order, but we received a different soup. After taking it back to the soup counter, they told us the signs were from yesterday and the soup of the day was something else. They apologized for having the wrong signs up. It was 6:00 pm -- I can't believe it took them that long to realize they had the wrong sign up.

My main complaint with the restaurant was the atmosphere. Because of the monorail entry ports, there were birds flying around the lobby. On the fourth floor there is also the video game room. The lights used in the cafe area look like street lights, and the color for the lights (obviously florescent) are too blue, instead of the same warm color of an incandescent bulb. The net result with the harsh lighting, birds, game parlor, and the monorail tracks nearby is a feeling of seediness. It's the skid row portion of the Magic Kingdom resort area!

Bottom line: serviceable, but nothing special.

Pros: food taste, value, quick service
Cons:

On our travels from MK to DHS we stopped in and had lunch here. My husband and I ordered sandwiches using the computer but were able to talk to a CM to make a special request. The service was quick and the food was very good. The black forest cupcake was wonderful! This cafe is a great change from the usual cs offerings in the parks and worth a visit.

Pros: at our home away from home
Cons: many

First, HATED ordering on comp screen with family of four, hated it. Food was ok at best. Didn't have much variety. Worse meal we had at WDW. Will go back in Oct and will not go here even though I will again stay in tower. I would rather travel by bus to another resort and eat than "settle" for this restaurant.

Pros: variety, ease of ordering, desserts
Cons: none

We stayed at the CR recently and had several meals at the Contempo Cafe. We loved the variety offered on the menu and everything we tried was delicious. Very easy restaurant to use DDP. They are also happy to pack things up for you to take it "to go". Must try the cupcakes! My daughters say they are the best they've ever tasted!

Pros: good food, empty lunchtime restaurant, good value
Cons: None

We called here on our last day Saturday 21st February. We left the Magic Kingdom at lunchtime and hopped on the monorail. My son loved the atmosphere when the monorail goes through when this was the concourse steakhouse and had asked if we could try here.

We liked the touch screen ordering, very quick and easy and appealing to the children.

We had three cheeseburgers they have a nice topping station with onions, gherkins etc.

They came with fries and were quite reasonably priced.

I had the chicken caesar salad with homestyle Barbeque chips and it was lovely.

Definitely a good venue if you want a quick break from the parks.

Pros: Great Food
Cons: Seating somewhat limited

Outstanding counter service! We had a late flight out, so spent the morning checking out The Contemporary and our new 'home' BLT. My husband had the chicken sandwich w/salsa which he loved. I had the Angus Burger which was also very good. The selection was great and the more upscale counter service was a pleasure. The only negative I saw was somewhat limited and filled up with convention goers. We look forward to eating here more in the future.

Pros: cupcakes, choices that others don't offer
Cons: travel if you're not staying at the Contemporary

On the second day of our January trip, we tried the Contempo. It was wonderful, and we decided not to settle for Magic Kingdom food again (after a horrible meal at Cosmic Ray's the night before). We had 2 cheeseburgers and 2 flat breads. All of the food was awesome, but the highlight was definitely the Pina Coloda and Chocolate Cherry cupcakes. They were filled with pineapples and cherries and were the perfect ending to our meal. We loved this place so much that we traveled from parks or the Polynesian more than once to eat there! Definitely the best quick service in Disney World!

Pros: Good food and variety, seating
Cons: touch screen ordering

The chicken sandwich is wonderful, the flatbread is flavorful but on the small side. It is nice to see a counter service with a little more variety without having to stand in 3 separate lines to get it. The touch screen order system totals your order but does not give you drink options or prices. We looked to find fountain drinks and the prices for drinks in the case was on a 5x7 sheet of paper above the trash can (strange place for a price list). The seating area was very comfortable though and we enjoyed a relaxing lunch!

Pros: Just ok
Cons:

My nieces had the pasta marinara here on Sat Jan 24, they said it was ok. You have to ask the cashier to have the sauce put on the side, you are not able to request that from the touch screen order

Pros: Wide selection, easy ordering process, kids' meal variety, extremely friendly service
Cons: Not the quickest I've ever seen, take-out process is a little confusing, and could be an option on the screen

We went down to pick up dinner for our large bunch who wanted to stay in and watch a football playoff game, and we ended up with a massive amount of food, including a delicious beef salad that was just spicy enough, pizza that the kids enjoyed, yummy burgers and Mickey Mouse-head rice crispie pops for later (and more grapes than we'll be able to eat in the next few days).
For counter-service value, it can't be beat. All our "adult" meals were between seven and ten dollars, and in addition to that we got bottled drinks or fountain sodas and very decadent desserts.

Everyone was pleased!

Pros: none
Cons: taste of food

We had several quick meals here due to staying at the resort. This counter service would keep me from returning to the contemporary. The food is very bland, the choices are awful and if they were trying to put a healthy spin on things by giving you a multi grain bun, it failed. I had one decent thing here, a breakfast sandwhich with egg ,cheese and ham. It was tasty and big enough for two. The pizza very oily cheese and a crust that could possibly break your teeth, the roast beef au jus was more like Franco American brown gravy, but not as good lol. I didn't like the desserts either. This is unfortunate since they just opened and I was looking forward to some decent meals here.
