Left sitting a long time with restless 3 year old
|
|
We were seated within 5 minutes of checking in, a rare occurence (6PM). The food as always was excellent, and we got our bread, salad, appetizers, side dishes, and meats as well as my 3 year olds hot dog efficiently and enjoyed it all. However even after telling the waiter we were done eating the food we were left sitting for about 25 minutes before they cleared our plates and brought our dessert. Wouldnt have minded if it was me and my husband, but my 3 year old was very restless and wanted to get back to the Magic Kingdom so the wait wasnt pleasant, and we didnt even see our waiter at all during that time. He finally cleared our plates and another 10 minutes later we got our dessert, which was fabulous as always. We will continue to come back every year as we love this place just wish we wouldnt have had to wait so long after we were done with a restless child!

We tried Ohana on the last night of our visit, last Wednesday 8/31. We were so bitterly disappointed. First, service was ridiculously slow. after we were seated and recieved our bread we saw neither hide nor hair of a service for 25 minutes. Next, each subsequent dish took 20-25 minutes to come out and it was cold. Finally after waiting 1 hour we finally contacted the manager.
I can't believe this thing gets such glowing reviews.

We stayed at the Polynesian and went here on our first night. We asked to be seated with a view of the fireworks and were thrilled when they gave us a seat with a great view. Unfortunately, following that it was all very disappointing.
We were ignored for a while after being seated and subsequent service was slow too. The salad arrived long before any drinks, the dumplings and chicken wings arrived moments before the main and the quality of the food was way below what we were expecting. Our daughter enjoyed the coconut race and we enjoyed the ukelele playing & singing and of course watching Wishes. The 3 is for the bread pudding, which was the best part of the meal.
We had reservations for breakfast later in the week, but were so put off by this experience that we cancelled!

This was my family's second visit to Ohana and it was as good as the first time around. There is a variety of food for picky eaters. Plus you can eat as much as you want. Sometimes the skewered meat was dry, but other than that we like the quality of the food. The bread pudding was very tasty. We had two cast members who helped serve the food. Toan, in particular, was quite cheerful. Alas, service was slow (consistent with our first visit)...keep in mind we had no other plans for the evening, but found ourselves waiting for a second helping or the next course. Nevertheless, Ohana is something you need to do at least once, and for my family we will be back.

We really enjoyed our meal here, there is tons of food to choose from, so everyone will find something they like. Everyone is very friendly. This is one of our favourite restaurants at WDW.

This is only getting an 8 because as usual the food was great! Our waiter was awful! Makes me mad that we were forced to pay him an 18percent tip. It was my DH 50th b-day and he said and did nothing! Even when we mentioned it. Not even a Happy Bday. That said we had a good time anyway because we decided not to let him ruin our meal and special day. DS7 loves the coconut races and other fun activities but isn't crazy about the food. After urging him to try different things he ended up loving the steak. The steak was incredible! Also love the shrimp and dumplings! And that dessert of bread pudding and bananas foster sauce is sooo good!

Ate here in August 2011. This is a must if you are on the Disney Dining Plan. I am surprised this is only 1 table service on the DDP as they could easily make it 2. So at 1 table service, this really can't be beat. The shrimp on skewers is awesome. There is so much food. The steak and pork was very good too, I didn't even try the chicken on skewer as I was too full. Also they give you wings, dumplings, noodles, veggies, salad, bread, and awesome bread pudding with ice cream and caramel sauce. Its a foodies paradise. I would rate this about 9.5 overall. I do miss the scallop potatoes they used to have though (replaced by noodles) but noodles are good too.

We ate here 7/25/11. We always eat here our first meal of the trip and are always excited to see the Polynesian hotel. The food is always good and the environment and view of the castle from our table was great. The highlight of the meal comes last...the bread pudding. It is my favorite dessert at Disney World. Highly recommend but get reservations early because it is one of the most popular restaurants at Disney and fills up fast!

We had a fantastic meal here this year (July17). Our server was really attentive and even brought us a special press pot of Kona coffee at the end of the meal when my husband asked if the had REAL coffee(on the house)! The food was very fresh and hot- DD16 loved the dumplings, all the sides were very good and we all thought the steak was especially yummy. Love the bread pudding at the end, and girls were given an extra side of icecream with tonnes of mickey sprinkles. Meal was nicely paced this yr too. The performer was very good and came by the tables to see how people were enjoying their meals also. Didn't consider it when we made ADRs, but we got to see Wishes from our table with music piped in- a nice treat.

Me and 2 friends, on our last minute girls trip, managed to get a ressie for 9:45PM on 7/23 so we grabbed it as me and my friend both LOVE this place.
Anyhow we arrived at the Poly about 8:30PM, figuring we would have drinks and hang out until our table was ready - and we were called at 9PM, 45 minutes early! The food was all AMAZING, as always! Love those chicken wings! And the service was excellent as always. Cant wait to eat here again when I am back at WDW in 3 weeks, this time with my family!

Love this restaurant. Visited here on July 4th. Seated at the window amazing view of water pageant and fireworks simply great holiday fireworks! The food was better then we remembered.
The dumplings and wings were superb. We loved the wings so much they gave us the recipe. All the meats and shrimp wonderful. The waiter was so nice and professional the food got cold while we were watching the fireworks he gladly gave us new dishes and food. We were never rushed, quite the opposite, we were told to relax and gave us a complimentary dessert platter. Never tasted Hawaiian desserts it was so special. A must do every year. Bravo Disney!

This was our best meal of the trip. Ate here on Monday, July 25 and had a lot of fun and a lot of great food. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the pork, but other members of our party did. The shrimp were excellent as was the chicken and steak. Everything tasted fresh and hot. Would recommend this dinner to everyone! It is a must-do when we visit the World.

We have had breakfast here but were never able to score a reservation for dinner. We finally got in and it was totally worth it. The pineapple bread is awesome and I wanted more but I know there was much more to come. Our waiter was Emanuel and he was great. First was salad the chicken wings and potstickers. Salad and chicken wings were great. I could have just eaten that. Then they brought over noodles and broccoli with peapods. Then came the good stuff, Chicken, beef, pork and shrimp as much as you wanted.Everything was awesome. The only thing I didn't like was the pork. I was so stuffed that I could not eat the dessert but had to at least try it. Bread pudding with caramel sauce with bananas. I wish I could have taken it with me. I would most certainly eat here again. Everyone needs to try this at least once.

My husband and I ate here on Wed., July 20th, during our 20th Anniversary trip. (kids went to the beach with family). As every other time we ate here, it was so good. The lady who seated us saw our Anniversary pins, and had us wait until she found the table assigner to give us a table by the window. Originally she said we were in the middle but did this very nice thing for us. She was so pleasant. Also, our waiter went out of his way to be courteous to all of his tables, and he was super busy and running around. I am not a meat eater, so he tried everything to get me to try something extra so that I did not overpay for what I ate. I love the pot stickers, chicken wings, noodles and dessert. That is all I eat, but the atmosphere and what I do eat is well worth it to me. My husband, I am sure, makes up for my not eating meat because he is the meateater.
This is a must every time we come. The lady who does the children's games and singing has toned it down and is not annoying anymore. Actually, we watched the kids having fun with her since ours were not with us.
One of the best dinners in Disney.
