Husband and I ate a late breakfast at Boma on 7/5. We were staying at the Coronado Springs on our honeymoon and decided to add this on as a late reservation (we booked it 2 days in advance without issue). We gave ourselves a full hour to get to our reservation, which was still cutting it very close I get...and Coronado is really rather close to AKL! In any case, we checked in at our reservation time EXACTLY, and were given a pager but seated almost immediately.
Out of the 8 reservations we had over the course of our honeymoon, Boma was my husband's favorite, and it was probably my #2. It was just awesome. We loved that it had such a wide variety of food choices, but still had some of your favorite breakfast foods too. He could not get enough of the scrambled eggs with goat cheese & chives. That was his favorite food item on our whole trip. My favorite item of the trip was the grilled tomatoes here at Boma...they were INCREDIBLE. So simple, but utterly delicious. As I carried them back to my table multiple people stopped me and said they looked so good, and asked where I had gotten them. They were hidden in a corner near the meat carving station and they were just amazing! Granted, I am a tomato lover through and through, but that also makes me sort of picky about them. These were top notch though.
The fruit and pastries were fresh, we loved the tropical juice, and we had a very good server. At the end as part of our celebration they brought out a Boma dessert sampler for us with some options that are typically served with dinner. I liked the guava cake, and my husband enjoyed the macaroons.
As long as you give yourself enough time to get here from another resort, you really can't go wrong with breakfast at Boma. We can't wait to go back!

Dined on July 4,2010. 2nd round for us at Boma for breakfast. Cannot say enough good about this place. The food is amazing. Love the turkey and the scrambled eggs with goat cheese and chives. The jungle juice/frunch is so good. Our server was great. We were seated very quickly after arrival and prior to our actual reservation time. This is a favorite place for us. Worth every penny and more. Can't wait to go again.

Six of us ate here for Father's Day Brunch. All enjoyed it very much!! The chocolate croissants were wonderful without the sickeningly over-sweet aftertaste of others we've tried. The eggs with goat cheese and chives were great, as were the made to order omelets and the roasted ham. The juice they give you sounds weird but tastes very good. The fruit was fresh and very flavorful. French toast here was fantastic!! Our server was Cynthia and she did a good job.
All in all, a great choice.

There was really nothing special here, regular breakfast food. One thing that was disappointing to us was that they didn't offer regular biscuits and gravy, just the African biscuits and sausage that wasn't very good at all. Everything else was pretty normal. Service was good but then again, there weren't that many people in the restaurant at 7:30 in the morning. It started filling up as we were leaving around 8:15.

I don't know why I feel that everytime I come here for breakfast I have to drink 30 glasses of Frunch! I end up getting full so fast that I don't get to try half of the food they have out though the Quinoa is fanatastic!!!!! I loved it so much I had to get the recipe. Just a hint, do not drink a ton of Frunch and then go on Kilamajaro Safari! I had the unpleasant experience of doing just that and realized I really had to use the bathroom in the middle of the safari and just my luck, a slow moving ( I think it was a rhinocorous) stopped in front of our jeep and decided to have a sit in the middle of the road) WAs really regretting the Frunch Over Dose at that moment!

I was really looking forward to this breakfast and left disappointed. I had a 9:50am ADR on 5/26. I arrived at 9:35 and was seated within a few minutes. While the server was friendly, she seemed very rushed and distracted. I waited nearly 5 minutes for her to come over after I was seated, and about 15 minutes for the check when I was done eating, plus I had to wait for her to process my card. The food was just okay.
Croissants: The regular one was very good, light and fluffy. The chocolate one just didn't taste good, not very sweet.
Muffins: Blueberry and banana macadamia. The blueberry one was good, but the sugar crystals on top were too much. The banana one was very dry.
Cinnamon Bun: Sweet but dry.
Fruits: Strawberries were juicy but no flavor. Watermelon was excellent, as was cantaloupe. Grapes were mushy.
Goat cheese & chive scrambled eggs: This was the best thing I ate. They were perfectly done, and normally I hate eggs, but these were amazing!
Brioche French Toast: This was very good. I enjoyed the raisins in the bread.
Bacon & Sausage: The bacon was perfectly crispy. The sausage was too spicy for me.
I don't know if I would return. I left full, but not satisfied. I was not happy with the service.

Boma the food was good but it just wasn’t Disney. If you are looking for a break from the Disney feel this is the place to go. I can’t complain about the service or the food. But I will personally not go back it was just missing something for me. The only issue was getting there UGH what a mess. We had 10am reservations and we were staying at the Polynesian. So we left our resort at 8:30 via the monorail were at MK and at the AK Lodge bus stop in 15 minutes at 8:45 so finally at 9:30 I walked over to another bus and asked them if they could call someone to send a bus here that would take us to AK Lodge. It was such a pain to get there and once we were there the bus driver didn’t tell us that he was stopping at the villas first we got off and realized we weren’t at the lodge it was really annoying. We got back on the bus finally got to the AK lodge at 10:30. I won’t be heading back over there anytime soon to eat or visit. It’s just too annoying to get to.

My husband and I ate breakfast here on May 11, 2010. We were seated right away and our waitress took our drink orders. We ordered coffee for both, my husband ordered orange juice and the waitress practically insisted I also get the special mixed juice they serve - and I was glad she did! Very tasty! The coffee was a little strong for me but DH liked it very much.
The buffet had almost any breakfast item you could want! I had banana bread, a sticky bun, petite bran muffin, bacon and a scone. All were very good but the scone was a little dry. The goat cheese scrambled eggs were fabulous! I tried a pancake, small waffle quarter, and french toast. The pancake was nothing special nor was the waffle. I didn't care for the french toast at all - too many raisins too. My DH and I then split an omlette of eggs, cheese, and sausage and it was great.
This was the only table service breakfast we did all trip and I would definitely repeat next time.

Jungle Juice
|
|
Have been to Boma's every visit since it opened. In the beginning they had a fabulous Jungle Juice (like up to 6 different citrus juices) But the last viist in Aug of 2009 it was a bright reddish orange color and taste like warm Hawiian Punch. Not real juice., so I hope I just hope I got a sub. because they were out or somthing. And they keep the original juice.
It is a great Breakfast Buffet, not hip on the dinner. But great for Breakfast very good.

Our family of four adults had breakfast here on May 15 and the experience did not disappoint. We have eaten here on every trip since it opened and will definitely continue this tradition in the future.
The selection was great, with something for everyone, the omelet bar was fantastic, and the pastries were delicious!
We would definitely recommend this breakfast to anyone and will return in the future.

We stayed at AKL April 15th-22nd and had breakfast at Boma's several times. We were on the DDP so it make sense for us to eat there often. We found the service to be consistently good; friendly and efficient. We ate quite early (generally between 7:30 and 8:00) and found it to be quite uncrowded. It did seem to pick up the later it got.
I really enjoyed the scrambled eggs with goat cheese and chives as well as the African style scrambled eggs (not sure what makes it African style but it tasted great). I also enjoyed trying out the white cornmeal Pap, the quinoa, and the cinammon french toast/brioche. There was always fresh fruit, yogurt, breads and cereals to choose from. DH sampled some of the breakfast meats and enjoyed them (the usual bacon, sausage, along with carved meat station). The coffee was also very good and replenished often.
My children (DS 7 and DD 5) loved being able to get their own food at the buffet. There isn't a lower section for children so I did have to supervise my 5 year old quite closely to ensure there were no accidents (and it was not uncommon to hear some breaking plates in the background).

While I love Boma for dinner, breakfast is equally as good. You can get it all via the buffet line: scrambled eggs, waffles, pancakes, muffins, and much more. You can also get omelets made-to-order. The coffee is better than most resorts on property, and the FRUNCH juice is FANTASTIC.
While the service is top-notch, the other thing I love about this restaurant in the morning is that it never seems that crowded. It's a nice quiet place to start your day before hitting the parks. Highly recommended.
