Cool days at WDW

Florida has experienced a few cool (cold for Floridians) days recently. I do keep a few jackets in my closet, but I wear them so seldom I sometimes forget that cool weather does visit central Florida once in a while!

I was in Disney’s Animal Kingdom on a cool day. I usually try to spot the Giant Anteater, and indeed, he (or she) was motoring around so much I couldn’t quite capture a still photo.

Two great Hidden Mickeys are still present on Discovery Island, one on a turtle in Pizzafari Restaurant:

And another on a honeycomb in the Island Mercantile shop.

I drove over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to have dinner with friends at the 50’s Prime Time Restaurant. Sparky, a streetmosphere actor, usually has a dark classic Mickey on his chin. He didn’t disappoint this day!

I said goodbye to the Studios with Mike, Michelle and Liam. Even though they’re a bit out of focus, they’re actually good-looking folks!

At least, we in Florida know that cool weather here is temporary!

Steve Barrett is a doctor and Disney nut whose favorite Walt Disney World memory is strolling through the Magic Kingdom with his young son on his shoulders. Not surprisingly, his favorite spot in the World is anywhere there's a Hidden Mickey. He suggests that all visitors take some time to chat with cast members, especially when looking for Hidden Mickeys, as they can enrich your Disney experience and make it even more magical.

  1. We were there the 7th-14th and boy was it cold! I kept reminding myself that at least it was still 30 degrees warmer than home!
