If you've ever toured a movie studio, you've seen the various falsified urban neighborhoods and cities they built on the backlot. With a change of window dressing and paint, a pawn shop turns into a pizzeria. Change out park benches, statues, and trees and you either set up for Ghost Whisperer or Eastwick. It's fascinating how Hollywood tricks us over and over again.
Streets of America is a backlot that's in constant use by visitors to Disney's Hollywood Studios if you think about it. People are always wandering around, sitting, taking photos, and listening to a traveling cover band. The only difference between this set and the ones in California is there's no film crew in Lake Buena Vista.
My entry for Disney Pic of the Week - Streets of America is this alley. I shot through the fence and around the fence but quite frankly, the fence gives the photo more character and texture.
