Disney Pic of the Week – Flags and Banners

Light Meter by Lisa K. Berton

As if Disney parks don’t transfer your mind to another place enough as it is, the extra touches found everywhere add even more elements to really cement happy thoughts. Some of those smaller and not necessarily noticed items are banners and flags that flap in the breeze.

I for one have always wanted the heavier flags attached to ropes that line parade routes. C’mon eBay!

During my recent trip to the West Coast, I found a colorful blend of nautical flags at Disney’s California Adventure. Strung around a gazebo sitting on Paradise Pier, they draw attention to the spot to meet Captain Mickey.

Keep an eye out and grab pics of flags and banners on your next visit to see Mickey.

Sail on back to see Scott’s photo on Thursday.

  1. I love looking for things like that. My facebook profile pic is actually of the prayer flags with Expedition Everest in the background. Love it!

  2. I always notice the flags at the parks. Of course the most dramatic are the prayer flags at Animal Kingdom. I really would like to string some up in my back yard! They add color and movement and drama to any setting.
