Disney Pic of the Week – Primeval Whirl

Light Meter by Lisa K. Berton

DinoLand U.S.A., home of Hester and Chester, midway games, flying triceratops, and screaming Guests who spin around in a circular car while it dips, climbs, and turns corners. I can hear it all now. Mom, I need 5 bucks! Let’s go again! I’m afraid of Dinosaur! What happened to the Tarzan show? So, the last question was my own. Like you don’t talk to yourselves outloud.

Today, or rather, this week, we’re taking a closer look at one specific attraction, Primeval Whirl. I can’t figure out how it’s pronounced. Is it wu-earl or who-rrrl or whhhh-ih-real? Let’s find out at www.dictionary.com. Oh, I was way off. No matter. The idea is for you to enjoy my photo of this…cratery-looking object with comic book-like exploding flames shooting out.

Swing on back Thursday and Saturday for more depictions of this attraction from Barrie and Scott that makes me dizzy.

  1. My friends and I call this ride the Primeval “Hurl” because we feel like we are going to hurl after we get off of the ride. One time around the track was plenty for me. Barf-o-rama!

  2. I loved the Tarzan show but not so much Primeval Whirl way to spinny for me. I love the themeing of Dinoland, U.S.A.
