Disney Pic of the Week: Restrooms

Photographic Innoventions by Scott Thomas

You just know this week’s Disney Pic of Week on Restrooms was suggested by Lisa. There was a famous thread on a popular Walt Disney World message board of photos of people leaving restrooms. Too bad Lisa wasn’t around or I would gotten her doing just that. I settled on taking a long exposure of people entering a busy restroom in Morocco using a quadpod (aka trash can) to help steady the camera.

Lisa and Barrie will be here on Thursday and Saturday with their favorite places to flush.

  1. People thought I was a little silly for taking photos of restroom signs when we went to Disneyland. But they are all so unique!I’m glad to know I’m not alone.

Scott replies: Disney detail amazes me in how they will continue it into areas which are normally considered utilitarian. Nope, you are not alone. Lisa and Barrie are also members of the club.

  2. This is one of my favorite restrooms in Walt Disney World. Our family proudly calls this one the “Morroc – CAN”

    Scott replies: LOL…how appropriate, Kevin!

  3. Cool photo. It’s amazing how Disney can take something like a bathroom and make them so pleasant and inviting.

Scott replies: Most, but not all, are usually themed to the area they are found, too.
