Disney Pic of the Week: Downtown Disney

Light Meter by Lisa K. Berton

Are you a shopper? Do you enjoy dining out? Have you danced the night away? If you answered Yes to any of these questions then odds are you have been to Downtown Disney. It is broken down into 3 separate areas: West Side, Pleasure Island, and Marketplace. It's free to wander about, people watch, and window shop. Some of the cooler things to do that require paid admission are Cirque du Soleil and Disney Quest. The clubs at Pleasure Island closed permanently on September 27th.

My personal favorite shopping destination is Virgin Megastore. As for dining I'd say Portobello Yacht Club but I haven't been since it's recent makeover.

Over in the Marketplace you'll find a merry-go-round. I took this shot last September when Barrie and I set off for some night shooting. In order to make the horses look as though they were moving, I set up the shot and then while holding down the shutter button, swung the tripod's head, panning.
