This limited edition version has Mickey as the Sorcerer Apprentice in from of the 50 logo. The yellow portion of this pin reads Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom in red the castle behind it in blue. The bottom of the pin reads Walt Disney Imagineering Est. December 1952. There will be two versions of these pins produced: a limited edition of 1952 pins (the year WDI was established) that will be released at Disneyland Resort, and a “Gold” version, limited to 2500 pieces, available exclusively to WDI Cast Members at Mickey’s of Glendale.

There were 300 Sorcerer ticket holders. The pin came in a red box. The front of the box says “D23 Expo 2013 Commemorative Gift” on the front. On the back of the box is a Sorcerer Guest logo with a D23 logo and slogan. The box came in a clear plastic sealed bag. This pin is a jumbo pin. On the front it has Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale all dressed in Sorcerer clothes. The pin does have a sparkle element in the white background. On the back of the pin it reads “Disney D23 Expo 2013 – The Ultimate Disney Fan Event” and then “Limited Edition – Copyright Disney – Made In China – WBT ILS#: 93-6150-36”. There is no waffle pattern on the back. This pin was not for sale.

ITEM #34 SOLD Tim J Journey into Imagineering Logo D23 Expo 2013 — Freestyle shaped pin that matches the logo sign on the Journey into Imagineering Parks and Resorts pavillion in the D23 EXPO 2013 event at the Anaheim Convention Center. It was sold to the attendees at the special D23 Expo 2013 MOG Store set up next to the pavillion, which featured Imaginnering innovations for the past 60 years. This white background pin is 6 sided but elongated almost rectangular. The far left side has two tabs protruding from it. Moving to the right are verticle bars of silver and sparkle/glitter green with white stars on the bars. The words “Journey into Imagineering” are in two rows across the face of the pin. This pin, as with many other Euro Disney sponser pins, was given out prior to the official opening of EuroDisney. During the two weeks prior to the April 12, 1992 opening, guests of the sponsers (such as Coca-Cola, Kodak, etc) were invited to visit the park and enjoy the attractions. This attraction originally opened at the New York World’s Fair before it was moved to Disneyland® and eventually to Walt Disney World®. This attraction was originally sponsored by General Electric and was renamed Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress in 1994. A man (John) is sitting backwards in a wooden chair and holds a paper fan. A dog (Rover) sleeps at his feet on a purple rug. There are what look like gears behind them. One gear is large and yellow. On the left, a smaller gear reads “Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress.” A small blue gear at the top reads “30th Anniversary 2005.” The gears work together and actually spin. The scene of John and Rover is from the second period, the 1920s.

The hitchhiking ghosts and the words “HAUNTED MANSION”, “Disneyland” and the fancy swirls under the letter “E” all glow in the dark.
