A Shrek Rave Is Coming to Disney World — No, This Is Not a Joke

Nothing says wild club night quite like an early 2000s DreamWorks animated feature about an ogre.

Despite the whacky combo, the touring Shrek Rave has been wildly popular amongst both millennials who grew up with the film as well as younger audiences who love its quirky and slightly ironic theme. Now, Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey can take part because the hit event is making its way back to Orlando!

The House of Blues in Disney Springs will be turned into Far Far Away for one night only. Partygoers often show up wearing outfits inspired by the movie as well as other iconic animated characters.

Do you think they’ll change the sign to look like Shrek’s swamp?

Orlando last welcomed the Shrek Rave back in December at the Beacham, but this time the party will be hosted in Disney’s shopping and dining district. Maybe this will settle the Disney vs. DreamWorks debate once and for all!

The rave’s tagline is “cool is dead who cares come have fun” and encourages attendees to let down their hair (or horns) and just enjoy a night out. You just might end up seeing some Shrek-lebrities if you attend!

Despite its low-key and homemade marketing vibe, this touring event has attracted the attention of Shrek creators like directors Vicky Jenson and Conrad Vernon, who have attended the event in the past. Vernon was also the voice of Gingy — we wonder if he did the voice for the crowd!
