PHOTOS: Take a Walk Through Universal Orlando’s NEW Universal Legacy Store!

There’s a new(ish) store at Universal Orlando Resort!

CityWalk

CityWalk’s Universal Studios Store has officially reopened in a new location, and another store has come in to take its place where it used to be! And, this isn’t any average store — it’s a hybrid museum and merchandise store! So, even if you’re not in the mood for shopping, this is definitely a place to stop for big Universal fans! We’re taking you along as we make our way through the store, so let’s get to it!

Before you even enter the new Universal Legacy Store, you’ll stumble upon two props that you might recognize from the parks. The gargoyles that are on each side of the entrance have been used by Universal in the past during Halloween Horror Nights. How…welcoming? Guess they have a new home now!

Does anyone recognize those gargoyles?

But, the real party starts when you step inside and not because of all the merchandise (though that’s there too)! The real point of interest is actually what is above the racks — props, photos, and other memorabilia from the history of Universal Studios.

Inside the Universal Legacy Store

You’ll stumble upon props from Jaws ride that used to take guests on a dangerous journey in Universal Studios. You don’t have to look too close to notice the big Jaws Ride Grenade Launcher and teeth from the shark himself.

‘Jaws’ Props

On the same rack, there are more items from the ride and even some original artwork.

And, you’ll have to really think back to remember where you’ve seen these items because some of them were found in the queue!

Oh, and if you were wondering how those animatronic sharks got into the water…here’s a peek!

Is THIS what they did to Bruce?!

The Jaws prop that got us the most excited though? Chief Bruce’s ACTUAL jacket! This was worn by Roy Scheider (the actor) in the movie and could be found in the ride queue at Universal until it was closed in 2012.

You’ll also find some E.T. props towards the back of the store! You can spot the little alien is sporting his Halloween costume holding his bucket for candy…

E.T. is that you?!

…and, the original E.T. Adventure Ride Vehicle Model is closed in a case nearby! It’s always exciting to get a behind-the-scenes look at how some of our favorite rides were made.

Jurassic Park fans will be excited to check out some of the retired ride props. You’ll find giant dino eggs…

If you look close, you’ll even see early photos of the attraction!

And, we’re not done yet. There’s an entire section dedicated to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

Harry Potter props (duh!)

You’ll find a scale model of Hogwarts which was used when Universal was laying out plans for the new land…

…there’s also the Goblet of Fire (!!)…

…and Hagrid’s Motorbike which was made for the grand opening celebration of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure!

And, the former Dueling Dragons ride may not be in the parks anymore, but it’s not gone for good. A lot of the decorations that could be found in the queue have made their way into the Universal Legacy Store on display!

You’ll also find a few remnants of older rides from Universal Studios like Earthquake which closed in 2015…

We’re not done yet! There are also costumes and props that were used by Ronald Schwarzenegger, Edward Furlong, and Linda Hamilton in the making of the Terminator 2 3D attraction.

There is even more to discover when you visit the new Universal Legacy Store, but we’ll leave something up to mystery!
