Disney Recipe: Untangle Some SWEETNESS With These Rapunzel Fruit Roll Ups!

Ever find yourself on the starting line of a 5k, wondering, “When will the race begin?”. This snack is inspired by a princess who can relate!

In honor of the upcoming virtual Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend,  runDisney has given us another recipe for a pre-race snack! This one takes after Disney princess Rapunzel!

We love seeing all of the workout tips on the runDisney blog — especially the healthy snack recipes! Today, we’re gonna teach you how to turn applesauce into UnTangled fruit roll ups that the whole family will love!

Ingredients:

  • Applesauce
  • Sillicon baking mat
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • An oven

Directions:

To begin, preheat your oven to 200F. While it’s heating up, lay your silicone baking mat on your baking sheet. Spread applesauce in an even layer about 1/8 inches thick–don’t let it spill over the edges!

Place your baking sheet in the oven for at least 3 hours. Feel free to stretch, maybe sketch, take a climb, or sew a dress while you wait!

Wondering if your fruit leather is done? If the leather is firm to the touch, it’s ready to cool!

Gently peel the leather up (starting at the corners) and place it on parchment paper. Cut it into even strips. Finally, roll your strips of fruit leather like Pascal’s tail!
